Chapter 4 - Chapter 2: Is This Really Your First Time in a Go-Kart?

Seeing the words flashing in front of him like computer code, Qin Miao's CPU practically burned out on the spot.

Luckily, the coach didn't rush Qin Miao. It's normal for someone driving a go-kart for the first time to hesitate and not dare to step on the gas.

Besides, from Qin Miao's earlier performance, it's likely this kid has something weighing on his mind.

Boys at this age usually only act absent-minded when it involves the opposite sex, otherwise, they typically seem carefree.

The coach speculated about Qin Miao's thoughts, completely unable to comprehend the impact of what appeared in front of Qin Miao at this moment.

Qin Miao, who had always believed that pies don't fall from the sky, and even if they did, they'd never hit him, was left feeling disoriented by this sudden system.

After a moment of shock, Qin Miao felt a surge of wild joy in his heart, adrenaline soaring, and dopamine flooding as if it were free.

To the point where his hands, which were clutching the steering wheel tightly, began to tremble uncontrollably.

What is this?

It's a damn system!

Something only novel protagonists get to have!

And this pie just landed on his head like that.

The system's name is "Strongest Car God System," does that mean my future main path forward is in racing, my favorite endeavor?

If I grow to a certain level, could it mean competing alongside world champion drivers like Hamilton, Alonso, and Vettel?

Could I possibly have the chance to stand on that supreme F1 podium, celebrating wildly in the arms of the team crew after a victory? Enjoying everyone's gazes of admiration, envy, or hostility.

But Qin Miao also knew that even with the system, it wasn't certain he could secure an F1 seat.

Jokingly, an official F1 driver's seat is harder to obtain than a country's presidency, as there are only twenty official F1 drivers worldwide, but over a hundred presidents.

Becoming an F1 driver requires not just high-level skills but also sufficient backing. After all, racing is something a family like Qin Miao's, who have to consider fuel consumption and maintenance costs for a car, simply cannot afford.

Thinking about this quickly poured cold water over Qin Miao's burgeoning vanity and inner thrill, cooling them down rapidly.

Qin Miao thought about it and stepped out of the go-kart.

He didn't let the thrill of getting the system lead him to rashly floor the gas pedal and charge forward. After all, he's someone who often plays racing simulations and can be invited to official simulation races without much effort.

Maybe Qin Miao is a bit naive in social matters, but he has a solid understanding of racing basics.

If, in his usual state, he practiced on a simulator, even if he knew he should maintain his current speed until the race ended, he'd still unconsciously push the car to its limits.

This often results in mistakes, like last night's crash that led to his withdrawal from the race.

And this is reality; if he crashes the car in this state, not only would he have to pay for damages, but he might also get injured.

So Qin Miao, under the puzzled gaze of the coach, turned off the engine and got out of the go-kart.

"What's wrong?"

Faced with the coach's question, Qin Miao couldn't exactly say he accidentally got a system.

So he vaguely said, "A bit nervous driving for the first time, just stepping out to calm down."

The coach didn't press further, only told Qin Miao how to start the go-kart's engine, and then went upstairs.

Someone booked the venue for this morning, meaning more guests would arrive later, and he needed to prepare.

Qin Miao's attention wasn't on the coach, as the system screen in front of him hadn't disappeared.

All his focus was on the system screen.

Truthfully, Qin Miao hadn't paid much attention to his specific stats when he initially discovered the system, his mind overwhelmed with the joy of acquiring it.

But as someone who, with minimal practice, can compete in professional e-sports races, Qin Miao believed he had a talent for racing.

However, due to family circumstances, the only path he could choose in racing was that of an e-sports driver, considering simulators don't require crash repairs or pose a lethal risk.

Yet now, having acquired the system, he couldn't help but have new aspirations. He didn't dare to hope for F1, but he had confidence in competing for a spot in top-tier events like GT3, WRC, and the Super Touring Car championship.

However, after closely examining the ratings the system gave him, Qin Miao realized that WRC might be out of his reach.

WRC stands for the World Rally Championship.

It's another world-class motorsport event, on par with F1.

Drivers from various teams race professionally modified production cars across the globe, tackling thousands of kilometers of harsh terrains, including gravel, snow, asphalt, mud, and rain, battling for 11 months to crown the ultimate champion.

Renowned as the toughest rally in the world.

Unlike circuit racing, WRC involves rally racing where most routes are on unpaved roads, with winding and twisting paths.
