Chapter 50 - A Caffeinated Confession

Lucy had always claimed she did her best thinking with caffeine. It was her mantra, her shield against the chaotic demands of startup life. But as she stood outside Brew & Byte for the third time that morning, a steaming coffee cup trembling precariously in her hand, she realized overthinking might be the more accurate term. Her mind was a frantic kaleidoscope of scenarios, each one more terrifying or more ludicrous than the last. The bitter aroma of dark roast did little to calm the tempest brewing inside her.
