"Run, run!" The Iwagakure ninjas panicked. Tengen's speed made targeting him impossible, and when he appeared beside them, evasion was a faint hope, except for those few skilled in taijutsu or who had preemptively used defensive ninjutsu. The rest were cut down.
In mere moments, Tengen felled dozens more Iwagakure ninjas. The efficiency left Konoha's ninjas dumbfounded. Was this the power of a Kage? And he hadn't even unleashed the legendary Susanoo.
"Kill them!" Hyuga Hizashi snapped out of his stupor. The Iwagakure ninjas' fear presented the perfect opportunity for a counterattack.
With nearly half their forces decimated by Tengen, the remaining Iwagakure ninjas were gripped by dread, feeling death's shadow looming.
"Kill!" Hizashi's shout roused the other Konoha-nins, who joined the fray against the Iwagakure forces, Kushina among them.
For Konoha's ninjas, this was their first true glimpse of Tengen's terrifying power, perhaps the fabled strength of a Kage.
Rōshi's gaze burned with rage and bloodlust. In mere moments, nearly half his Iwagakure ninjas had fallen to Tengen's blade.
"That's enough." Tengen said, pausing. The remaining Iwagakure ninjas were now prepared, no longer easy prey for quick strikes. He left them to Hizashi and the others.
Now, he would focus entirely on one opponent.
"Die!" Rōshi's lava-clad arm swung toward Tengen with devastating force.
"Bring it on!" Tengen sheathed his blade, clenching his right fist, a peculiar power surging within.
"Armament Haki!"
*Boom!* Their fists collided, unleashing a massive shockwave. To Rōshi's shock, his strength faltered. In an instant, he was forced back.
"What is this power?" In Lava Release mode, Rōshi's molten exterior made close combat perilous, its searing heat capable of burning flesh. Yet Tengen seemed encased in some strange force, rendering the lava's heat ineffective.
"Rōshi." Tengen said, grinning as he faced the Jinchuriki. A new system mission had triggered, and as expected, the Ninja World War offered ample opportunities for rewards. Defeating Rōshi would grant half of an ultra-clear X-Men video. Even half was valuable.
The X-Men world held countless powerful abilities, Magneto's magnetic control, Professor X's telepathy, or even Phoenix's destructive force. This video promised a wealth of extraordinary powers.
Tengen was eager, but his immediate goal was clear: defeat Rōshi.
He was confident. With his current strength, facing a single Jinchuriki held no fear. His Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan made Susanoo a terrifying force, and now, wielding Wood Release, Tengen found tailed beasts far less daunting.
He was steadily advancing toward Six Paths-level power, where he might finally hold the strength to shape his destiny in the Naruto world. After all, this world still bore the shadows of figures like Kaguya Otsutsuki and the Sage of the Six Paths, with Kaguya's potential resurrection looming.
"Fight with everything you've got, Rōshi, or you're no match for me." Tengen said, eyeing the wary Jinchuriki.
"Then stay and die!" Rōshi, still in Lava Release: Chakra Mode, charged, the ground melting beneath his searing heat.
"That mode's impressive, but it's useless against me." Tengen said, forgoing ninjutsu to meet Rōshi with pure taijutsu.
*Boom! Boom!* Their clashes ravaged the battlefield, toppling trees and shattering rocks. Nearby ninjas, Konoha and Iwagakure alike, cleared the area, awed by their ferocity.
Yet, even in Lava Release mode, Rōshi was utterly suppressed by Tengen.
*Bang!* Tengen's fist smashed into Rōshi's face, shattering the molten lava coating it.
*Bang! Bang!* Rōshi's feet carved deep furrows in the ground before he finally stopped.
"I must admit, Tengen, your taijutsu surpasses Jonin-level, perhaps even Kage-level." Rōshi said slowly. "But, "
His hands formed seals.
Blazing lava spheres erupted from his mouth, hurtling toward Tengen.
"Lava Release: Scorching River Rock Technique!"
This powerful Lava Release ninjutsu unleashed spheres of molten lava, radiating extreme heat.
"Let's have some fun, Rōshi!" Tengen laughed, his hands forming familiar seals.
"Fire Release: Majestic Destroyer Flame!"
A massive blaze roared from Tengen's mouth, forming a sea of flames across the ground, a ninjutsu over ten times stronger than the Fireball Technique.
