Compared to the Six-Tails, Tengen was like heaven to its earth.
In the Kiri-nin's minds, Tengen picking a fight with the Six-Tails was a boon for them.
Ideally, both would end up gravely wounded.
But they also knew this was unlikely. According to past rumors, Tengen had faced other Tailed Beasts, and none had left him seriously injured.
The Six-Tails likely wouldn't fare any better.
"Is he going to use Susano'o?" The Kiri-nin muttered, watching Tengen float in the sky.
But what followed left them horrified. Tengen merely swung his long blade, unleashing a force that distorted space itself, striking the Six-Tails Saiken. The beast exploded into nothingness.
Whether it lived or died, no one knew.
Many speculated this was merely the Jinchūriki's manifestation, not the true Six-Tails, which wouldn't have been so easily defeated.
Still, it was terrifying. The Tailed Beast's power was at least Kage-level.
And yet, Tengen had felled it with a single strike.
What they didn't know was that this was the Bankai of Zanka no Tachi North, wielding the power of the sun's core.
"The mission isn't complete yet. It seems the number of ninja deaths is still insufficient." Tengen murmured, frowning as he checked his system's task, which remained unfulfilled.
Under the Kiri-nin's hateful gazes, Tengen descended to the ground.
"What more do you want? The Kirigakure is already destroyed!" They spat venomously.
"Not enough." Tengen said, shaking his head. He thrust Zanka no Tachi into the ground, its boundless heat seeming to awaken creatures from another world.
"Zanka no Tachi South: Fire-Fire Ten Trillion Death Burial Array."
Around Tengen, countless skeletons began to crawl from the earth.
This power of Zanka no Tachi South didn't summon those Tengen had killed but revived the already dead, forcing them to attack his enemies.
Endless waves of skeletal warriors surged toward the Kirigakure, clashing with its ninja.
Screams filled the air.
Under the relentless assault of the fearless, infinite skeletons, the ninja were overwhelmed.
"I'll kill you!" The Hōzuki clan ninja, previously overlooked by Tengen, stirred awake. Seeing the devastation, he charged, intent on killing the one responsible for destroying the Kirigakure.
"Since you're here, let's test the power of Bankai." Tengen said, the flames of Zanka no Tachi condensing into the blade.
A faint flicker of fire danced along its edge.
"Zanka no Tachi East: Rising Sun Blade." Tengen's blade swept across the Hōzuki ninja.
The ninja's eyes widened in terror as his body seemed to be erased from existence.
The distorted spatial heat incinerated him completely.
Even the Hōzuki clan's Hydrification Technique couldn't withstand such temperatures.
At that moment, a chime signaled the mission's completion.
Tengen swung Zanka no Tachi once more, and the skeletons vanished. The Kiri-nin, who thought they were doomed, felt a surge of relief, even a twisted sense of gratitude.
It was as if they'd been tortured into thanking him.
Because, truthfully, Tengen could have continued slaughtering the Kirigakure, which had no strength left to resist.
"That's enough for now." Tengen said to the Kiri-nin. "Hurry and report this to the Fourth Mizukage. He'll know what to do."
With that, Tengen took off using the Dance of the Sky Technique.
From the sky, he looked down at the Kirigakure. No trace of it remained, only scorched earth and ruins.
The surviving Kiri-nin exchanged glances, their eyes filled with the relief of survivors.
The killing intent they once held for Tengen was gone, replaced by pure fear.
Tengen's power was too overwhelming, so terrifying it snuffed out their desire for vengeance.
Tengen was a demon, a fiend from hell.
"Go, help the survivors." One Kiri-nin said after a moment, snapping back to reality. "And inform Mizukage-sama of what happened here."
"Attacking the Land of Fire was a mistake from the start." Another Kiri-nin muttered.
"It's such a pity for Hōzuki Shingetsu. Even his Hydrification Technique couldn't withstand Tengen's attack." One ninja said helplessly.
"Let's go back. Seeing the village in this state, I want revenge, but I can't even muster the thought." Another said, his voice tinged with sorrow.
"Same here." Another ninja said, shaking his head.
Their situation was truly pathetic.
They had lost all courage to face their enemy.
If they encountered Tengen again, the word "courage" might vanish from their vocabulary entirely.
Meanwhile, Tengen, having left, used the Dance of the Sky Technique to arrive at a vast sea, the expanse between the Land of Fire and the Land of Water.
He wasn't in a rush to return to Konoha. He wanted to examine the video he'd obtained.
Even if the Kirigakure tried to report this to the distant Mizukage, it would take time.
Tengen opened the player, seeing a new, complete video: the Dragon Ball Blu-ray video.
This Blu-ray video was the first Tengen had acquired, holding great significance.
Moreover, it came from the Dragon Ball world, a realm brimming with diverse powers.
Obtaining a special ability or bloodline from that world could vastly enhance Tengen's strength.
"Let's see what I can get." Tengen said, his eyes burning with anticipation.
"Extract it." He commanded, initiating the process for the Dragon Ball Blu-ray video.
"Ding, you have obtained…"
