Chapter 114 - Chapter 114: Miscalculated Loki

"Goddess of Judgment…"

The voice that broke the silence didn't carry fear—only sarcasm.

Surrounding Bella were a group of people, their expressions sharp, their posture aggressive. The title they had just called out—"Goddess of Judgment"—didn't seem to frighten them in the slightest. On the contrary, their cold, murderous gazes made it clear they were here for one purpose only—Bella.

Her golden eyes scanned the faces of the group. She spotted Clint Barton (Hawkeye) and Bruce Banner (Hulk) standing silently among them, their expressions empty—unnaturally blank. Something was clearly wrong. And just like that, everything clicked in Bella's mind.

Loki's plan revealed itself in her thoughts like pieces of a puzzle locking into place.

Control S.H.I.E.L.D.

Capture Bruce Banner.

Use mind control to manipulate enhanced individuals.

Hide away Tony Stark and the others.

Then open a portal over New York.

Let the Chitauri pour through...

All of it—just to prevent her from stepping in.

If Bella was busy here, she couldn't stop what was happening in New York. By the time she broke free, it would be too late. Thousands—if not millions—could be dead.

It was a terrifyingly clever move. Loki had weakened the Avengers from within, and now he was trying to keep their most powerful asset—Bella—occupied with brainwashed enemies.

As her gaze hardened, her thoughts narrowed in on one fatal detail.

Angie.

Bella's heart clenched. If Loki had gone as far as to plan this elaborate trap, would he stoop low enough to target a child?

Apparently, yes.

A smug smirk crept onto Barton's face as if he could read her mind. "You figured it out already, huh? Good. Besides us, there are three submarines surrounding that island. If you move, that girl dies. So be a good girl and stay put."

That was their trump card.

Hold Bella hostage emotionally. Use Angie.

Bella's eyes froze—gold light flaring with deadly intensity. Her gaze pierced through Barton like twin spears, and for a moment, even the hardened assassin felt his heartbeat falter.

He swallowed hard, but kept up the façade. "Hey, don't look at me like that. This wasn't my plan."

Then he added with mock innocence, "So, what's your answer? Let her die, or save the Earth?"

Silence.

A heavy silence fell inside the Quinjet. The only sound was the haunting whistle of wind through a ruptured hole in the hull, and the dull thump-thump of anxious hearts.

Three seconds passed.

To the others, it felt like an eternity.

Then Bella moved.

Her cold, emotionless face twisted into a mocking smirk.

"After I beat you, I'll beat him up—for Frigga."

BOOM!

Her foot slammed into the Quinjet's floor with a terrifying crack. The metal frame buckled under the immense force, and within seconds—

The entire aircraft exploded.

Flames burst into the air, metal twisted and roared, and the Quinjet disintegrated in midair.

Two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents died instantly, their bodies consumed by fire.

Barton and the tattooed woman were knocked unconscious, tumbling helplessly toward the ground from thousands of feet up.

One man disintegrated mid-air into a cloud of golden-yellow sand, which surged downward like a storm, wrapping around the group as they plummeted toward the ocean below.

They landed hard on a rocky, deserted island.

It wasn't massive, but it was high. Their position was near the cliff's edge, more than ten meters above sea level.

BANG!

Bruce Banner, thrown far from the explosion's center, crashed into the ocean with a massive splash, disappearing beneath the waves.

The yellow sand gathered and reformed into a human figure. He glanced over at Barton and the tattooed woman, both still unconscious. He frowned but said nothing.

Fortunately, three others survived—a rebellious young white man, a bulky middle-aged man, and a massive, muscular Black man.

They steadied themselves quickly, scanning the skies, on edge.

But then—

BOOM!

The loud crack shattered the air.

Bella landed.

Her armored boot came crashing down on the Black man's head, driving him into the dirt. The impact shook the entire island, creating a shockwave that sent tremors through the cliffs and triggered crashing waves on the surrounding shores.

The ground beneath her split open like a spider web. Rocks tumbled into the sea.

To the man's credit, he didn't pass out immediately. He struggled under Bella's strength, trying desperately to lift her boot.

But Bella's strength was absolute—10,000 tons of raw power.

"Let go of me! I'll kill you! I'll kill you for the master!" the man roared, showing no fear even as blood dripped from his mouth.

"So noisy."

BOOM!

She stomped again.

This time, the entire rocky platform cracked beneath her, one of the two supporting cliffs collapsing completely. Stones rained down into the sea below. The Black man's eyes rolled back, blood pouring from his mouth, ears, and eyes as he finally went limp.

He was alive—but unconscious.

Bella gave him a soft kick, sending his body tumbling across the dirt like a ragdoll.

Then she turned.

Her golden eyes locked onto the other two men.

"Just you two left."

The rebellious youth stiffened. The middle-aged man in the checkered shirt narrowed his eyes.

"You really don't care about your girlfriend?" he asked.

Bella laughed.

"Girlfriend? With Cosmo around?" she scoffed.

They had no idea what she meant.

They thought threatening Angie would work. But they didn't know the truth—Cosmo, the golden retriever, was no ordinary dog.

When Bella had traveled across Africa, she tested Cosmo's ability in the desert.

Aside from his powerful spiritual connection, Cosmo could generate an energy shield strong enough to withstand massive force.

Even when she used a 0.3-ton blow (without magic) at maximum output, the shield held. The sand didn't even shift beneath the pup's paws.

Loki didn't know that.

He had overlooked the dog—assumed it was just a pet. And that was his biggest mistake.

Bella cracked her neck.

"Once I'm done with you two, I'm heading to New York."

She didn't have time to play anymore.

Every second she wasted here, New York fell deeper into chaos. She needed to end this fast and hard.

This time, Loki had miscalculated.

And it was going to cost him dearly.
