Chapter 184 - Chapter 184: Fall of the Overlord

Frigga had always liked Bella. From the first moment she saw her, she had thought the girl might one day become her daughter-in-law. Bella's kindness, her grace, and that strange inner power—they had impressed the queen of Asgard deeply. But now, as Frigga watched the unfolding battle through the cosmic projection before her, she realized she had underestimated Bella. The girl's growth was beyond anything she could have imagined.

On the screen, Bella stood beneath a storm of golden light, her long hair whipping behind her, the black sword in her hand radiating both violence and elegance. Every movement seemed perfectly balanced—fury and beauty in the same stroke. Frigga felt a pang of awe, and, for a brief moment, of regret.

She turned to Loki, who was staring blankly at the screen, his expression an unreadable mix of fascination and bitterness. As a mother, she knew exactly what that look meant. Loki probably hadn't even realized it yet—but his heart was caught.

Before Frigga could say a word, a booming voice shattered the stillness.

"Good opportunity!" Thor's roar echoed through the hall, pulling everyone back to the moment.

Frigga and Loki turned their attention back to the screen, where Bella and Thanos were locked in a battle that shook the heavens.

The skies of the desert planet were filled with swirling yellow dust. Every clash of their weapons sent waves of destructive power rippling across the dunes. Bella's swordsmanship grew sharper and faster with every exchange. Her attacks flowed like lightning, seamless and fluid, mixing strength, speed, and precision into a deadly dance.

Thanos, the Mad Titan, who once crushed entire civilizations, was now on the defensive.

At first, he had unleashed the dark energy of the cosmos from within his body, determined to crush Bella in a single overwhelming surge. But Bella was not simply a warrior—she was a sorceress. With a flick of her wrist, she invoked Atom Crash, and countless spheres of golden energy appeared above the battlefield like stars igniting in the night.

Under Bella's command, the sky itself seemed to open. Golden beams of light rained down like divine punishment, each one strong enough to pierce mountains. Thanos swung his massive blade, deflecting some strikes, enduring others—but he was being pushed back, step by step.

No matter how strong his defenses were, he could not hold forever.

Then, with a sudden burst of movement, Bella vanished from sight. A single black streak cut across the air—so fast it seemed to slice through time itself.

Thanos's eyes widened. His massive war-blade cracked. The Mad Titan's guard was broken.

A blinding golden flash filled his vision.

Boom!

The golden slash exploded from Bella's sword, slicing through Thanos's armor. Blood sprayed into the air like crimson rain. The wound carved across his massive body from shoulder to abdomen, gleaming with molten energy.

Even Thanos's incredible endurance could not stop the pain from flooding through him. He staggered, clutching his wound, but his eyes burned with defiance.

Instead of panic, Thanos's expression grew calm—too calm. He knew Bella's rhythm now: her offense was relentless, her killing intent absolute. If he faltered even once, she would strike to end it.

So, with a deep growl, Thanos raised his war-blade again. The energy of the cosmos roared around him, erupting like a volcano. He unleashed every ounce of his power.

The impact was earth-shaking.

Bella's sword met his in mid-air, golden light crashing against violet darkness. The explosion sent shockwaves across the planet, cracking the ground for miles.

Thanos coughed up blood, sent flying backward like a meteor. But Bella didn't give him time to recover. She extended her hand, conjuring a portal of blazing gold in the air behind him.

Before Thanos could react, he was swallowed by the light.

The portal closed—and silence fell.

"Wait… what just happened?" one of the Nova centurions gasped.

Frigga, Loki, and Thor stared in confusion. On the Nova Empire's flagship hovering over the planet, Queen Xandar and her officers looked just as stunned.

Another soldier spoke up quickly, realization dawning on his face.

"She moved the battlefield! She's taking Thanos somewhere else!"

A chill ran through the command deck. The centurions exchanged tense looks, understanding what that meant.

"She's going to finish him," said one, his voice trembling. "She's going to kill Thanos somewhere far from here."

The queen inhaled sharply. "To avoid damaging Xandar… she moved the fight?"

They all knew how catastrophic such power could be. If Bella truly intended to kill Thanos, the explosion could wipe an entire planet clean. That she would choose to move the fight rather than risk innocent lives spoke volumes about her.

"It's… a blessing," one centurion whispered. "A blessing for the whole universe that someone like her exists."

Everyone on the deck nodded silently. Even the most battle-hardened among them felt a flicker of reverence.

They knew—Bella could have stayed. She could have destroyed Xandar along with Thanos, and the Nova Empire would still have thanked her. After all, Thanos had wiped out countless worlds; no one would blame her.

But instead, she had chosen restraint.

Still, those who truly understood her would have smiled bitterly at that thought. Bella was no saint. She was simply practical—an egoist with principles. If moving the battlefield didn't hinder her victory, she would do it. If it did, she wouldn't hesitate to burn everything around her.

In a desolate corner of space, the new battlefield awaited.

A barren planet of trash and metal scraps floated in the void—a world forgotten by all. And above it hovered Bella.

Her figure was wreathed in light. The black sword gleamed faintly in her hand, while her left arm lifted toward the heavens. Power surged through her body—raw, pure, and blinding.

The air trembled.

With a deep roar, Bella summoned her magic. The energy gathered in the sky, forming a miniature sun—a fixed star burning brighter than anything nearby. The flames danced wildly, illuminating the endless darkness of the cosmos.

From afar, it looked as though a new dawn had been born in the void.

Bella's eyes hardened. "End of the line, Thanos."

With a wave of her hand, the blazing star collapsed inward and exploded.

Boom!

The detonation was indescribable. A tidal wave of energy ripped through the void, leaving behind trails of molten light that scarred space itself.

Down below, on the surface of the garbage planet, Thanos staggered to his feet. His armor was cracked, his body bleeding. Before he could even lift his sword, he felt the searing heat of the explosion descending upon him.

He looked up—and for the first time in a very long while, the Mad Titan's face showed fear.

The fiery reflection of the exploding star filled his pupils.

"Damn it…" he muttered, the words swallowed by the roar of cosmic destruction.

The blast consumed the planet in an instant. Everything turned white, then vanished into nothingness. The energy spread outward like a shockwave of judgment, erasing the battlefield itself.

Back on the Nova flagship, the sensors screamed and then went silent. The image feed flickered out. The centurions stared at the blank screen, hearts pounding.

"Is it… over?" someone whispered.

No one answered. But deep down, they all knew.

The Overlord had fallen.

High above Asgard, the image dissolved into golden motes. Frigga clasped her hands together and exhaled softly. "She did it," she whispered.

Thor's jaw clenched in disbelief and pride. "She really did it."

Loki said nothing. His eyes stayed fixed on the last shimmer of light where Bella had stood, a small smile forming on his lips—half admiration, half sorrow.

Frigga watched him quietly, understanding all too well. "You'll see her again," she said softly.

Loki's expression turned thoughtful. "Perhaps. But I wonder—if she stands against the gods themselves one day, whose side will we be on?"

Frigga didn't answer. She only looked at the fading stars, their golden glow reflected in her eyes, and whispered, "Let's hope she stays on the side of light."

Thus ended the reign of the Mad Titan.

The universe, for the first time in eons, knew peace—but also a new kind of fear.

For in that peace, the name Bella began to echo across the stars… not as a savior, but as a power that even gods must reckon with.
