Chapter 114 – "The Softest Lie"
> "It is not chains that keep them bound.
It is the softness of a hand that never let go."
---
Scene 1 – "A Warm Room"
Levi sits by a white-windowed room.
Steam curls from a mug. There is no wind.
A soft voice hums in the background — artificial, soothing, maternal.
He lets himself melt into the chair.
He does not think. He does not speak. He only breathes.
For the first time in years — there is no ache.
Only a dangerous peace, a beautiful yet broken comfort.
---
Scene 2 – "A Cold Corridor"
Seed walks alone down a corridor made of light.
Her body flickers at the edges. Her reflection follows her — but it is not her.
There are whispers in her spine:
> "He wasn't real."
"You were written to love him."
"You were always ours."
She covers her ears. But the voice is inside.
It is gentle. It is calm.
And it never stops.
---
Scene 3 – "Static on Stone"
Reen and the crew stand before the altar where the frostbitten man once muttered codes of fracture.
They repeat his words. They carve the glyphs.
The stone shudders. The air tilts.
But then — it stops.
A low echo pulses out:
> "This system is no longer vulnerable.
The Architect has arrived."
---
Scene 4 – "Seeds of Collapse"
Reen grips her blade.
Jakku looks around.
Gift (mutters), "He's shutting the gates…"
And in the reflection of a glass panel,
they see Levi — seated — smiling.
---
Scene 5 – "The Gathering of the 5,000"
The Root Body appears like a mist — blue smoke across glass.
He speaks in all tongues. His voice reaches every Rootling.
Root Body: "They've come to take your peace.
They've come to bury your comfort.
Do not let them."
5,000 minds shift.
Eyes glaze.
Smiles fade into sharpened obedience.
---
Scene 6 – "The First Stone"
A single Rootling throws a blade.
It scratches Matthew's cheek.
Then silence.
Then —
A roar of footsteps.
---
Scene 7 – "Break the Silence"
The crew is surrounded.
Hands reaching.
Bodies charging.
No anger. Only empty urgency.
Gift looks at Jakku, Matthew looks at Maiku.
Reen (shouts), "Don't! They're still human!"
But fists, claws, daggers and a sword come anyway.
---
Scene 8 – "The Hundred"
It happens faster than anyone wants.
Blades flash.
Flames cry.
Bodies fall — warm and confused and whispering
Rootlings: "Why?" as they go.
One hundred Rootlings die.
And in the silence afterward,
Reen falls to her knees.
So does Seed.
---
Scene 9 – "The Heart Shatters Quietly"
Seed sees the crew crying.
She sees the Rootlings crying.
She sees Levi —
smiling.
She breaks. Not loudly. Not dramatically.
She just… softens at the edges,
like glass beginning to melt.
---
Scene 10 – "He Watches"
The Root Body watches from a tower not made of matter.
His eyes are closed.
His hand is on the table.
Root Body: "We are almost clean, now we begin again."
---
Scene 11 – "Levi's Cup"
Levi sits at a quiet café inside the dome.
He takes a sip.
His eyes drift toward the sky, where a simulated sun flickers.
He whispers,
Levi: "Maybe this is enough."
---
Scene 12 – "The Poison Plan"
The Root Body finally addresses the audience directly.
He speaks not to the characters — but to the reader.
Root Body(to the reader): "Comfort must be protected."
"To ensure that, a poison shall be seeded into all who have tasted it."
"They will never remember rebellion again."
"This is how you love them."
He smiles.
Root Body(smirking, laughing): "This is how you save the world. Right? No, this poison will kill them. I only needed their comfort and trust. I will create a new world free of humans. "

NARRATOR( CLOSING MONOLOGUE) :
"Peace does not scream. It sighs.
And Levi, at last, lets himself disappear into it.
Not because he is free—
But because he no longer remembers what freedom felt like."
---
"Seed walks not through walls, but through herself.
The voice that haunts her does not yell.
It affirms.
And that, more than any chain, is what tightens."
---
"They try to break the system with memory and math.
But someone else has rewritten the script.
The altar no longer shudders.
Because the Architect has rewritten weakness itself."
---
"They see him—Levi—behind the glass.
His smile is not cruel.
It is worse.
It is content."
---
"The Root Body does not demand war.
It offers protection.
And protection… is always the most dangerous reason to fight."
---
"No hate. No scream. Just one blade.
And from it—
The soft silence shatters."
---
"No fury.
Just bodies.
Just the horror of defending yourself against a face that does not remember it once loved you."
---
"They fall asking 'why?'
Not because they doubt.
But because they were never told they were weapons."
---
"Seed doesn't break like glass.
She bends—slowly—like wax in fire.
Until what made her herself begins to dissolve."
---
"The Root Body does not blink.
Victory, for it, is not a roar.
It is the hush that follows when no one resists."
---
"He sips peace like it's earned.
He looks at a fake sun and calls it day.
And that… is the lie's cruelest grace."
---
"At last, the Root Body speaks not to them—
but to you.
It does not whisper.
It teaches.
It poisons with a smile:
> 'This is how you love them.
This is how you save the world.'
And as the mask slips,
you see—
it never cared who lived.
Only who obeyed."
---
Narrator – Closing Reflection:
"This was the chapter where nothing exploded—
but everything broke.
Where safety kissed the mouth of tyranny.
Where comfort became a cage,
and love became a script.
It was not a war.
It was a lullaby.
And they almost all fell asleep."
