"Gali, let them go." Blaine glanced at Gali.
"Fine."
Gali nodded obediently and lowered the five of them to the ground.
Of course, before the eccentric Gali let them down, she deliberately spun them around in mid-air like a windmill several times and even summoned a gust of wind to blow them, which was quite exhilarating.
It didn't cause much damage, but it was enough to make them dizzy.
The five fighters hit the ground in a daze. The dizziness nearly caused them to collapse, and they barely managed to stay upright by supporting each other.
"Hoo... hoo..."
Thor glanced at Blaine, his eyes spinning, and barely managed to mutter two words: "Thank you..."
After speaking, the five of them weakly helped each other out the door.
Staying here any longer would just be asking for trouble, self-destruction, and humiliation...
More importantly, they believed that people of this level had no reason to lie to them.
They posed no threat to others whatsoever.
"Where's East Manhattan?"
"I don't know... let's take our time and ask around."
"I feel like I'm going to pass out..."
Four Asgardian warriors in strange costumes, along with Thor, stumbled down the street at night like a group of drunken roadrunners.
Meanwhile, Blaine stood at the window, watching their figures gradually disappear, and let out a light chuckle.
He was definitely not someone with a kind heart.
Blaine was quite annoyed that these guys had suddenly barged into his home, disrupting his peaceful night.
Since the last incident at Warehouse 3 in Manhattan, the area had been placed under martial law by the Hand.
Even Madame Gao was personally stationed there, researching Mjolnir, which remained immobile.
If they tried to forcefully retrieve Mjolnir, they would definitely encounter the Hand.
While the four Asgardian warriors might seem ordinary to Blaine, the average Hand ninjas weren't much better. Naturally, they couldn't win in a fight.
But… Madame Gao was a different story.
She was a master of psychokinesis. In the TV series, with just a wave of her hand, she knocked down the Iron Fist—the guardian of Kunlun—without resistance.
Her connection to the mysterious city of Kunlun and The Hand had granted her an extended lifespan. She once mentioned in conversation with Iron Fist that she had been tortured in the 17th century, meaning she had lived for at least four hundred years.
Moreover, despite her frail appearance that seemed like a gust of wind could blow her away, she was a martial arts master. Her longevity had made her body extremely strong. Even if several strong men tried to push her over, they couldn't budge her.
In the show, she could slap Daredevil hard enough to make him cough blood—without even using her powers.
Additionally, Madame Gao was immune to poison, highly resistant to drugs, and a master tactician. She had experience, hypnotic abilities, and could manipulate minds...
This old woman, a defector from Kunlun, was far from what she appeared on the surface.
Blaine rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
If Thor doesn't get recognized by Mjolnir, these so-called Asgardian fighters wouldn't be able to defeat her, even if all four attacked together.
Blaine understood this clearly, which is why he directly told them where Mjolnir was located.
He wasn't a bloodthirsty killer, but he certainly wasn't the type to be messed with.
If you dared to provoke him, you'd better be ready to pay the price.
Just like these five guys, who suddenly barged in during the night with an aggressive attitude. Though they didn't have murderous intent, their behavior was enough to make anyone annoyed.
And Thor's arrogant demeanor when he entered?
Did he really think he was still Odin's son, the mighty Thor Odinson?
On top of that, Blaine was already irritated at being woken up.
Hell, he'd even dared to lure a powerful Boss like Gali—who was on par with cosmic deities—into his home . And now Thor dared to strut in?
If just anyone could push him around, he might as well stop being a Bounty Hunter and let Gali eat him.
Still, it was kind of funny.
Even if you doubled or tripled the Three Warriors of Asgard, they probably still wouldn't be a match for Thor when he wielded Mjolnir.
What kind of joke is that? Captain America, with just a shield, could go toe-to-toe with Thor.
Blaine curled his lips. Marvel really liked to exaggerate. The setups were grand, but the execution often turned out to be as weak as a paper tiger.
As for that bald-headed egg...
Even without Thor's earlier comments, Blaine could already guess it was Nick Fury behind all this. He must've leaked his info to set him up. Otherwise, how would these guys have found him? How would they know Mjolnir might be here?
For now, Blaine decided to set that stewed egg aside. One day, when the time was right, he would definitely make him pay and take something in return.
This was now a priority on Blaine's to-do list.
If he didn't teach that guy a lesson, Fury would just keep pulling stunts like this.
Some time later...
"Gali, want to come out with me?" Blaine asked as he suited up in his hunter gear. "There's a good show to watch."
"A good show?" Gali swallowed the last bite of a planet, nodded, and said, "Then I'm coming."
"Let's go."
Blaine slowly faded into the shadows.
Just as he was about to leave, he noticed Gali wasn't beside him.
Huh?
Should he go back and get her?
But in the next second, Gali suddenly appeared next to him.
Blaine flinched, the corners of his mouth twitching. He had overthought it. For someone who could stop time, sneaking into shadows was nothing.
"Follow me." He sighed and started to run.
Gali followed leisurely behind him. Anyone watching would have noticed that no matter how fast or slow Blaine moved, the distance between them always stayed exactly the same.
"Hmph, what a pain," Gali muttered. "Just give me the location, and I'll take you there myself."
Blaine's eyelid twitched, and he replied sincerely, "Teleporting is too fast. Just follow my pace. We're here to enjoy the show, understand?"
"I get it, I get it."
Gali pouted and rubbed her belly. "I'm hungry again."
Didn't hear anything. Nope. Not listening.
Blaine ignored her completely, pretending not to hear a thing.
Damn it, she just finished eating a planet and she's already hungry again? This little ancestor is impossible to deal with.
