Chapter 276 - Movie

In the distance, Scarlet Witch launched another remote attack. Perhaps it was to make up for the heavy losses caused by the earlier failure of the remotely controlled bomb. Throughout this battle, Scarlet Witch had been controlling things from afar, sweeping the field and stepping in whenever it mattered most.

Just as the War Machine was flying past, a car controlled by Scarlet Witch slammed into him again. The two of them seemed to be having a lively exchange.

At this moment, Captain America and Barton had already reached the warehouse door where the B2 fighter jet was parked.

As a yellow-diamond member of the civil service team, Vision could not continue to sit by and do nothing.

Facing Ant-Man, Vision charged forward once more. Scott thought Vision was about to ram into him, so he reached out to grab him. However, just as his hand was about to close, he was shocked to discover that Vision's body had turned transparent. Ignoring Ant-Man's existence entirely, Vision passed straight through him.

"Oh, shit—everyone, something… something passed through my body,"

"I'm not going to die, am I?"

Scott shouted in alarm.

"What the—what's going on?"

In the distance, Barton and Captain America were rushing toward the warehouse to take the plane. When they happened to see this scene, they were startled as well.

"No big deal,"

"Everyone's got tricks these days."

By contrast, Captain America was already used to it. He had awakened earlier than Barton and joined the Avengers sooner, so to be honest, he had long grown accustomed to these strange superpowers.

At first, not to mention things like this—Thor's hammer summoning lightning, Tony's armor—those alone had amazed him for a long time. After all, he came from World War II, and his worldview had once been quite limited. But now, none of this fazed him in the slightest.

Vision suddenly opened his eyes, and the Mind Stone on his forehead released a brilliant yellow beam, firing directly at the building beside the warehouse.

Boom—

The building was struck at its foundation and immediately began to collapse, with Captain America and Barton directly below it.

The two tried to evade, but the falling stones, bricks, and reinforced concrete froze in midair. Looking up, they saw that at some point, Scarlet Witch had used her Chaos Magic to hold the collapsing ruins in place.

From a distance, the strain was clearly visible on Scarlet Witch's face. But just as Captain America and Barton were about to pass through, massive chunks of debris began to fall one after another.

Buzz, buzz—

At some point, the War Machine flew in behind Scarlet Witch, releasing a piercing sonic wave.

Scarlet Witch clutched her ears, feeling as if her eardrums were about to burst. With her concentration broken, the ruins she had been holding aloft crashed down again.

"Looks like Ant-Man is the only one left."

"It's almost over."

Blaine, who had been observing the overall situation, muttered to himself.

Overall, the battle had unfolded like this. Even Blaine was now a little uncertain whether he could defeat all of them after witnessing their strength.

It had to be said—some people had performed extremely well. Others, however, seemed to be here just to make up the numbers, better at watching the show than Blaine himself.

Take Scarlet Witch, for example. She clearly possessed such terrifying chaos magic. If she had stepped forward and unleashed a full-power move, everyone present might have been wiped out.

Then there was Tony, who seemed to be holding back on purpose. Whether it was because he couldn't bring himself to go all out, or because his opponents were people he knew, it was hard to say. If Tony had summoned the Hulkbuster earlier, maybe he alone could have taken on one versus six.

Even more frustrating was Vision. His body was made entirely of vibranium and embedded with a tenth-level star core—the Mind Stone. Forget blasting buildings with lasers; if he wanted to, blowing up the entire airport wouldn't be a problem.

Maybe because this was Captain America's home ground, everyone was giving him face and not going all out. If Blaine hadn't been content to spectate, he might have stepped in himself to test the results of his recent training.

While Blaine was still complaining internally, the fight below continued.

"Hey guys, have you ever seen a really old movie?"

"The Empire Strikes Back."

"It's kind of similar to what's happening now."

"And cowboys—"

"Do you remember their signature move?"

Little Spider-Man could be seen dodging Ant-Man's pursuit while using a plane as leverage to climb onto Ant-Man's body. At the same time, he switched on nonstop chatter over the wireless headset.

"Oh my God, Tony, who is this guy?"

#1

Finally, someone couldn't take it anymore and started complaining to Tony, who had brought little Spider-Man along.

"Don't ask me, I don't know either,"

"I'm not dating him—he's younger…"

"Who knew he was a kid?"

Tony rambled nonsense in response, shamelessly passing the buck.

"Remember how cowboys use ropes to lasso their enemies?"

"They even rope the horns of cattle."

"Just like me—I'm going to wrap his body up with spider webs."

Little Spider-Man kept talking, but his hands never stopped. He continuously sprayed webbing at Ant-Man, swinging around him again and again. Before long, Ant-Man's massive body was completely entangled.

Now Ant-Man's knees were tightly bound by the tough webbing, and his arms were restrained as well. It was exactly the cowboy technique little Spider-Man had described.

"Maybe this kid's onto something."

"I know—Tony, fly higher."

Rhodey and Tony seemed to reach an understanding. They kept ascending, positioning themselves directly above Ant-Man's chin.

Iron Man and the War Machine raised their right fists like Superman, aiming straight at Ant-Man's jaw.

With his legs bound, Ant-Man staggered uncontrollably, barely able to keep his balance. Without Tony's strike, he probably would have fallen on his own.

Clang—

A crisp metallic impact rang out, and Ant-Man's enormous body responded immediately, toppling backward.

"Oh, yes! Yes! That was awesome!"

Seeing the giant they had taken down together, little Spider-Man shouted excitedly. After all, he was still just a kid, and the joy of success was impossible to contain.

Unfortunately, it seemed a bit too early to celebrate.

Little Spider-Man tugged on the webbing, preparing to swing away, but in his excitement he failed to notice that as Ant-Man fell, one of his arms flung upward from the inertia and smacked little Spider-Man straight into the air.

With such a massive body and the momentum of the fall, the blow likely left little Spider-Man completely stunned. He slammed hard into the ground, groaning and unable to get back up.

It certainly didn't feel good for Scott either. Perhaps this was the moment when defeat finally arrived.
