Chapter 50 - CH 50

Felix's face creased in frustration as he tried again. "Gab, listen to me. Chris hasn't said anything, but that doesn't mean we're in the clear. If he learns that we were trying to sneak away, or worse, challenge Dave, like you're doing now, well, we'll be in real trouble. He'll tell the executives not to let us on another mission. We might even get kicked off the executive team." His voice dropped, the weight of his words sinking in. "Is that really what you want?"

Gab didn't answer right away. His eyes flickered with a hint of hesitation, but it only lasted a moment. He was too angry to be reasoned with.

"No," Gab growled, shaking off the doubt. "I don't care if Chris is watching. I'm taking that brat down, right now." His voice was resolute, and without another word, he shoved past Felix, his stride determined as he moved toward the door of the small room.
