Chapter 20 - CHAPTER NINETEEN

News spreads quickly, and Felix became aware of the student's death in front of his house. Uncertainty about the student's death has reignited the case.

He can only scratch his head while listening to the news.

What is happening in this city? He found himself questioning in his mind while sipping his coffee because he was having breakfast.

There are still questions troubling his mind, especially the murder of his parents. He still couldn't tell if it was murder or just a natural death that caused it.

He couldn't connect the current events because his parents had died when they were still young. He could only frown.

He saw his sister passing by, following him.

"Jen?" He called out, having seen her enter the room.

It didn't respond to his call, so he just frowned.

Maybe she didn't hear it? He could only ask himself.

"Jenny, come eat with me here once you've finished getting dressed over there." He called out again to his sister.

She still hasn't spoken, so he's starting to wonder about his sister's behavior. She responds immediately when he calls her.

"Jenny!" He called.

"Brother? Why?" Jenny asked, suddenly appearing in front of him, still not dressed.

He was puzzled.

"You went into your room earlier already wearing your uniform—" he stopped speaking. "Maybe I'm just lacking sleep."

Jenny furrowed her brow at his explanation.

"I didn't go into the room, brother. And besides, I don't have class this morning."

Here we go again. Complaint in his mind.

"Are you okay, big brother?" Jenny suddenly asked.

Felix just nodded then. He didn't tell her, and his sister shouldn't know about the unusual things happening to him. He just sighed. That ability visits him only rarely.

It depends on how important it is.

Jenny sat down beside him.

"Has Thalia come in now?" He couldn't help but ask his sister.

Jenny simply nodded; he saw the sadness in her eyes.

"I heard that the student who was shot yesterday was a schoolmate." He pondered the idea while sipping his coffee.

"Yes, brother, it's Jasmin." His sister replied.

He could only sigh at that time. He thought of the children who lost their lives so early, and even though he didn't know the child Jenny was referring to, he felt sad about what happened to them.

"I hope that the victims will receive the justice they deserve immediately."

"Justice? Justice won't come easily in a world where you don't know how to play."

He didn't look at what was in front of him; he glanced at it, a bloodied woman. He needed to conceal what he was seeing.

"How can we achieve the justice we seek if you don't speak up? If individuals like you, who are aware of the case, remain silent, how can we triumph and assert our rightful claims?" A soul then asked.

He surmised that these were the women who vanished and, a few days later, turned up in other locations, their insides incomplete. He glanced at their appearance, their flesh torn apart; he couldn't bear to look at them.

"----- Hey, Brother! Hey!" Tag his sister Jenny.

He rubbed his forehead. He was still beside his sibling Jenny.

"If you had assisted us, you wouldn't be feeling this way." She said softly.

He knew whose voice that was; he recognized it well because he had once helped her, helped her twin, and helped one of her siblings.

"Jenny, I'm going to go inside the room for a bit; I'm still sleepy." He yawned, stood up, and made his way to the room, where he once again caught a glimpse of Ellese staring at him intently.

He didn't want his siblings to get involved, so he didn't mention his ability to see and hear their voices. Since then, the death of his siblings has always disturbed him, particularly the loss of his cousin, a member of the organization.

He no longer sees its soul, but he suspects it still returns to the house that is just across from theirs.

He sat down on his bed; he still remembered what he had witnessed in that house. Upon witnessing his cousin's shooting, he trailed the siblings, oblivious to the unfolding events, as they lay covered in blood. He struggled to identify his cousins, and even the youngest one did not escape unharmed.

Until now, the police still cannot determine the cause of their deaths. Television broadcast the incident, sparking numerous speculations. His cousins may have fought back against a robbery at their house, leading to their deaths.

But he didn't believe it. He visited his cousin's house after cleaning up the crime scene. He immediately saw the incident, the real event was shown to him, and there, he knew everything was set.

What can we do against people who can do anything? Who would believe in the ability I possess now? People in this world will ridicule you and label you as insane. Felix thought to himself back then.

"Ellese, forgive me. I can't sacrifice the lives of my siblings." He suddenly said.

"Have mercy on your siblings; they will still become involved in this, causing even more harm to others."

"Ellese, we don't have enough evidence to imprison your father and your brother. You already know what will happen if we reverse that event." Felix had already become accustomed to conversing with Ellese's soul.

"That's why, cooperate with my twin, Mikaela, and brother Jake."

"It's enough that I help your two siblings escape, Ruth. Chesca, please refrain from disturbing her and Mikaela further."

"They are our hope. They are our hope to reveal everything our father is doing." It suddenly disappeared.

He let out a sigh.

Even if you try hard to forget the dark past, even if you run away and turn your back on it, it still comes back. He just lay down, lost in thought.
