Jake was quiet; while listening to their conversation now, he just sighed; they were still waiting for one more person.
They were quietly waiting in front of the screen; he still had work to finish when suddenly a person walked in, and it was the one they were waiting for.
"You're late." He heard Vince say on the other screen, known as "beta" in their small organization against the Fuego family.
He even saw Felix just smirk. "Sorry." That's all he heard from the so-called alias "alpha."
"Can we proceed now?" Charles asked his brother, who was also observing the surroundings.
Suddenly, their screen popped up, showing a picture of a man.
"What is it again, Alpha?" Zenne, known by the alias "Charlie," immediately asked.
"That's what we're going to talk about. What do you think? Do you know that person?" he asked them.
"We don't know that person, but can you explain to us what happened now, Alpha?" William, known as "delta," asked if he recognized it, fiddling with something.
"He's the spy following me," he immediately told them.
He immediately caught their attention, including Charles's.
"Oh, their father is really working secretly; he will definitely catch us if we're not careful." Vince just sighed.
"The one I had you work on? How was it, Vince?" Charles asked,
"Don't worry, don't worry, I'm doing my job to catch the spy you mentioned in our organization."
"Oh, I see. I see, our conversation will be interesting now," William smirked, clearly having found some information. "Check it out." They immediately discerned that Felix was under surveillance.
"Alexander Nathaniel Fuentes." He said,
Jake immediately furrowed his brow and stared at the name and face of the man on his screen.
Fuentes, where have I heard that surname before? He was searching his memory for the last time he had heard that name.
"Oh, he has a sister named Isabel Brenda Fuentes, studying ..." Zenne looked at him.
"Do you know his sister?" William asked him.
He just sighed. "Yeah, I know that kid very well because he's a classmate of Thalia and Ru—no, Chesca." He said that he was familiar with that child because his sibling always attended the parent-teacher meetings at school.
"If you have a close relationship with that child and serve as their adviser, it's a crazy thing, but I have a strong feeling that he has known Chesca's true self for a long time, from the very beginning." Felix said directly.
"How are you sure about that, Felix? Can we escape the fact that his sister is innocent in this case?" he asked.
"Please tell us about the Fuentes family, since you're dealing with his sister." Felix said to him,.
"Why are you saying that I need to share the private life of the student under my care, Felix? Can we avoid making hasty judgments based on purely speculative information?"
He heard Felix just sigh. "That's why I'm asking about the Fuentes family's background, to correct my assumptions, right?" Felix asked Jake.
"Oh, shut up, you two." That's all they heard from Vince, who was listening to their argument.
"The Fuentes siblings are intelligent, especially his brother Nathaniel. I can't say who is more intelligent between the two of you, Felix. It says here that he graduated in law, and he easily passed the bar examination for a lawyer."
"Interesting." That's all he heard from Charles.
"He came from a wealthy family, and he is on your family's side, Charles." William added.
"I am no longer part of the Socorro-Fuentes clan; I belong to the Roman clan, where a simple family killed my only sister. Whether you call me an illegitimate child, I'm not concerned about that." He said.
"Forget that illegitimate child thing. Can you match his way of thinking, Charles?" William asked.
"We're going to face a smart person, and what's more, he's a lawyer, and I bet a personal lawyer for the Fuego family." That's all, Vincent said as he looked at them one by one.
"I admit that her sister also has a bright future; she's a mature one, just like Thalia, who is quiet, but, I don't know why, the two of them didn't become friends. Well, I also see in class that she isn't close with her classmates." Jake says.
"When there's an activity at school and Isabel is in a group, she tends to be bossy. But she's a smart kid; her world is always revolving around competition. Thalia ranked first in my class. She never approached her nicely. Didn't Thalia tell you that someone was bullying and calling her names?" Jake asked Felix.
"She doesn't like to complain to me; maybe she just let it go because my sister loves peace." Felix just shook his head at him.
"Given how his sister acts at school, we should expect our toughest opponent." Vince added.
"As I told you before, let's not involve the child Isabel in this; our enemy is the older brother, not Isabel." Jake said.
"Jake, I know you have a brother." He even glanced at Charles, who was just quiet at that moment.
"But, among all the secrets of a person in the family, especially if you are close to your sibling, there is one person who knows who you really are. Correct me if I'm wrong; in the case of the Tejero-Blanco family, we keep that secret, but it will still be found out." Felix said to him,.
"Why don't you stop being a teacher for now? We understand that, as a teacher, you feel the need to protect the child under your care; however, the most concerning aspect is that the person you are trying to protect may be the one who will harm us."
"Remember what I always say to you, Jake. Don't let your judgment ruin your decision."
"I get it, I get it, William, don't lecture me anymore." Jake just sighed at that.
"So? What are our steps?" Charles asked. "What are our next steps?" Charles asked.
