Chapter 388 - Chapter 391: The Might of the Goro Goro no Mi

"Surrender? You were already given the chance," Gion said as she looked at Aramaki with disdain. "Today, none of you has any choice left except death."

After the Battle of Marineford, still choosing to stand with the World Government and fight against Caelan was an unforgivable crime.

What she did not expect was that Aramaki, an admiral level powerhouse, did not even have the courage to face the consequences.

Once a choice was made, one should calmly accept the outcome.

People like Aramaki were far inferior to Akainu.

"Aramaki, wait for support from the Five Elders," Urther said coldly. "Hold on."

There was even a hint of schadenfreude in his tone.

Although his own situation was not good, at least he was not in the worst position.

Now that it had become a matter of life and death, all that remained was to fight.

"Damn it. I'm facing Whitebeard and Roger. You come and try to hold them yourself."

Aramaki was so depressed.

He could not even defeat a single Yonko, let alone a Yonko fighting together with the Pirate King.

But he had no room to choose.

With just a few exchanges, Roger and Whitebeard joined forces and attacked Aramaki together.

Urther had no time to worry about Aramaki, because Gion and Byrnndi World were already attacking him together.

"God Giant Soldier, Iron Demon."

The power of the Iron Iron Fruit was fully unleashed, and Urther transformed into a steel giant nearly one hundred meters tall.

Savage iron spikes covered his body, and in his hands he wielded an enormous iron spear over a hundred meters long.

Like a terrifying ancient giant, he possessed the power to crush everything in his path.

Weighing more than ten thousand tons, his appearance caused the frozen sea created by Aokiji's Ice Age to creak loudly.

If the ice had not been dozens of meters thick, he would have already fallen into the sea.

But while the form had its drawbacks, Urther's raw power had reached its peak.

Carrying such massive weight, even a casual swing could make the wind roar like thunder.

"Unbreakable Iron Wall, Urther, please instruct me."

Urther looked at Gion and the masked man beside her with a ferocious grin.

For the sake of the World Government, he could only use this last bit of strength.

He glanced back toward the Red Line and muttered, "Lord Imu, please hurry and prepare the final trump card."

"The Earth Pulse."

Castellon was not willing to fall behind and released the full power of the Earth Earth Fruit.

There was no land on the sea itself, but behind him stood the largest landmass in the world, the Red Line.

The surface of the Red Line seemed to come alive, condensing into an earth dragon that surged toward the battlefield.

The massive earth dragon did not attack anyone. Instead, it spread across the ice beneath everyone's feet, transforming it into an extremely solid layer of yellow earth.

This not only strengthened Castellon's combat advantage on his own terrain, but also gave Urther, who had transformed into a steel giant, firmer footing.

When Aramaki saw the yellow soil beneath his feet, his expression brightened with joy.

His legs turned into thick tree roots that burrowed deep into the ground, and dense branches spread out, forming a lush forest.

As someone with exceptional survivability, as long as even one root remained in the soil and his stamina was not exhausted, he could survive.

The soldiers on both sides were stunned by the changes on the battlefield.

"So this is the power of the World Government."

"Even when cornered, they still have such terrifying fighters."

Doberman looked at the towering steel giant and could not help but sigh.

"I thought the World Government only recruited a few admirals to keep up appearances," Yamakaji said, shaking his head in shock. "I didn't expect they actually had monsters like this."

This was without question admiral level power, destruction on the scale of a natural disaster.

One person was worth an army of one hundred thousand, truly a top tier force of the sea.

However, their shock only lasted a moment before they regained their composure.

No matter how strong he was, he was still just an admiral.

The admirals on their side were no weaker, and they outnumbered the enemy two to one.

More importantly, they still had Caelan backing them.

With that thought, both men steadied themselves and continued directing the battle according to Sengoku's plan.

"Soldiers, follow me and take down the World Government."

Yamakaji and Doberman raised their arms and led their troops forward.

The top fighters were already clashing, so the rest could not stand idle.

Joy Boy, who was hidden aboard a battleship and waiting to act as the vanguard for the assault on the Red Line, only glanced over briefly and showed little interest.

Ten against five. The advantage was clearly on their side.

Nothing worth worrying about.

All he needed to do was wait for the battle to end, then charge straight into the Red Line and kill Imu.

On the battlefield.

"Iron Fist, Steel Star Fall."

Urther swung the massive iron spear down toward Gion.

The spear, larger than a giant tower, descended with the force of tens of thousands of tons.

The violent friction with the air ignited flames along its surface, making it look like a falling meteor.

The immense pressure distorted the air below, making it nearly impossible to dodge even a moment too late.

Gion showed no fear toward the hundred meter tall steel giant. Instead, she looked excited.

"You conduct electricity and you fear heat. You are the perfect opponent for me."

"Gigavolt Thunder Metal."

Brilliant golden lightning condensed into a sharp spear before her, launching straight toward the incoming meteor like weapon.

"What?"

Urther's face instantly turned pale.

He had spent years training in Mariejois and had long ignored such basic restraints.

But facing that overwhelming lightning, he suddenly remembered.

Iron conducts electricity.

Boom.

Crackle.

Blinding sparks exploded across the sky as the giant steel spear melted into molten iron and scattered through the air.

A shower of burning metal streaked across the battlefield.

The most dangerous Logia was the Dark Dark Fruit, but the most destructive was the Rumble Rumble Fruit.

Without Nika's strange suppression, the Rumble Rumble Fruit wielded by Gion was nearly unstoppable.

It had allowed her to leap from an admiral candidate to a full fledged admiral.

Against a massive block of iron, the effect was even more pronounced, reminding her of the Ark Maxim Caelan once mentioned, pushing her power even further.

Thank you, Caelan, for giving me the Rumble Rumble Fruit.

"Damn it, I'm completely restrained."

Urther cursed aloud.

Not only had he lost his giant iron spear, but his entire body was numb from the electric shock.

And that was only a single exchange.

"Castellon, switch opponents."

Urther shouted toward Castellon.

But when he looked over, his expression changed completely.

Castellon was being beaten back by Garp and Redfield, retreating in panic, with no chance to switch at all.

Although the defense of the Earth Earth Fruit was strong, it was clearly insufficient against two veterans who specialized in close combat.

On his side, he was being hard countered. On the other side, Castellon was also being suppressed.

Even worse, they were being overwhelmed so badly that there was no opportunity to change opponents.

In the next instant, Gion rushed toward him, a lightning spear condensed from pure electricity in her hand.

(To be continued.)

Hey guys, how have you been? Sad to say, the author basically went on hiatus after this, didn't say anything, so it's hard to say whether he'll pick this back up later. But I'll still be keeping tabs in case he does update. Sorry about that. I'll be uploading a new One Piece fic soon, latest this weekend, so look forward to that. Have a nice day.
