Chapter 5 - Session and listening party

Sia walked into the EchoWave Records office, her signature wig and sunglasses making her almost unrecognizable. She was escorted by Rachel's assistant, a bright and bubbly young woman named Emma. As they walked down the hallway, Sia turned to Emma and asked, "So, what's Landon like? I've heard great things about his talent."

Emma's eyes lit up. "Landon? He's a musical monster. Always working on something new, always pushing himself to create something amazing. I've never seen anyone so dedicated to their craft."

(What they thought was dedication was actually desperation. He was working so that he can release those songs before their original writers could think about them. )

Sia raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "A musical monster, huh? I like that. What's his personality like? Is he difficult to work with?"

Emma chuckled. "Oh, no, Landon is actually really down-to-earth. He's super passionate about his music, but he's also very humble and grateful for the opportunities he gets. He's always willing to try new things and take risks, which I think is part of what makes him so talented."

Sia nodded thoughtfully. "I see. Well, I'm excited to meet him and see what kind of magic we can create together. I've heard great things about his songwriting skills, and I think we could make some amazing music together."

Emma smiled. "I'm sure you two will get along great. Landon's studio is just down the hall. Shall I take you to meet him?"

Sia nodded, and Emma led her to Landon's studio. As they approached the door, Sia could hear the sound of music coming from inside - a haunting melody that seemed to match the rhythm of her own heartbeat. "Ah, it sounds like Landon's already hard at work," Sia said, a smile spreading across her face. "Let's go see what he's creating."

As Sia and Emma approached the studio door, the haunting melody of "Dusk Till Dawn" filled the air. Landon was working on a soulful, atmospheric rendition of the song, his voice soaring over the emotive instrumentation. The song's themes of longing and desire seemed to resonate deeply with Landon, and his interpretation brought a certain level of intensity to the track. Sia's eyes lit up as she listened, her fingers tapping along to the beat. She was clearly impressed by Landon's talent and creativity. "Wow" she whispered to Emma. "I love it."

Emma smiled, nodding in agreement. "Yeah, Landon has a way of writing special songs only. I'm excited to see what you two come up with together."

Rachel, notices the two and calls them over. "Ms Sia, it's an honor to have you here." Sia smiled warmly as Rachel approached, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "The pleasure is all mine, Rachel. I'm excited to be working with Landon. His talent is undeniable." Rachel beamed with pride. "Yes, he's been doing amazing things. I'm glad you're here to collaborate with him."

Landon looked up from his workstation, a bit startled by the interruption. "Hey, Rach. I didn't know she was here already." Rachel gestured to Sia. "Ms. Sia, this is Landon. Landon, this is... well, you know who she is."

Sia laughed, a throaty sound. "Please, call me Sia. We're going to be working together, after all." Landon's eyes widened as he took in Sia's iconic look. "It's great to meet you, Sia. I've been a huge fan of your work."

Sia smiled, her gaze flicking to the music equipment surrounding Landon. "Likewise, Landon. I love what you're doing here. Shall we get started?"

Landon nodded eagerly, his excitement palpable. "Let's get started. I've been working on a few ideas, and I'd love to hear your thoughts." Sia nodded, her eyes scanning the studio. "I love the vibe in here. Let's create something special." The two artists settled in, surrounded by instruments and equipment. Landon began playing the unfinished song, and Sia's voice swooped in, weaving a mesmerizing harmony.

As they worked, their chemistry was palpable. They bounced ideas off each other, building on each other's strengths and creating something truly unique. The music swirled and pulsed, a fusion of Landon's introspective songwriting and Sia's soaring vocals. They experimented with different sounds and textures, pushing the boundaries of their creativity. Hours passed, and the studio became a world of its own, filled with music and magic. Landon and Sia were lost in the moment, their collaboration sparking something special. As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the studio, Landon and Sia stepped back, exhausted but exhilarated. They had created something truly remarkable – a song that blended their styles in a way that was both innovative and captivating.

"Wow," Landon breathed, grinning at Sia. "That was incredible. I think we might have created something special." Sia smiled, her eyes shining with creativity. "I think you might be right, Landon. Let's do it again soon."
