Jessica was dazed as to what Morgan had said to her. With surprise and shock, she said, "So you were not dead all this while?"
"Yes, I wasn't. I was just in hiding. All the rumours of my death were all a lie," Nathan replied, grinning.
"Can't believe this," Jessica murmured to herself in disbelief.
"You made me mourn you. I cried for days. I was confused about what to tell your son. He kept asking me of you every night. Why the hell would you do such a thing? Why fake your death?" Jessica barked, tears began dropping from her eyes.
"Am sorry. I did that just to get away from your stepmother's troubles," Morgan replied, then moved closer to Jessica and kissed her on the forehead.
"I have always loved you, and I will never stop doing that. My world is nothing without you," Morgan sweet words resoluted inside Jessica mind, sending a wave of relief down her spine. Morgan gazes was just an inch from Jessica's face.
What Morgan had explained to Jessica earlier about his death was all a lie, he did that in order to keep everything as a secret. He doesn't want to expose his magnificent powers and also doesn't want to reveal the evil deeds of Abigail just yet. He wants to make his revenge unpredictable, and him telling Jessica the truth now could ruin everything.
"Where is my son?" Morgan asked, pushing back into the seat he was seated on, after successfully calming Jessica down.
Jessica took a deep breath before responding, "He's in the other room sleeping."
"Won't he get disturbed by the mosquito and insect filed round the house?" Morgan asked, getting concerned.
"I don't think so. I made sure I covered any holes available that could give the insect access to the room where he's now," Jessica replied.
Morgan clenched his fist, his teeth gritted as he spoke with rage. "She will pay for what she had done, and I promise that with my life."
"Please, Morgan, I will advise you to stay back. Don't do any more thing that could get you killed for real this time. It was because of what you did yesterday that got me chased out of the mansion to this shit hole by my stepmother, claiming that I had paid someone to wear a mask of your face to come ruined her party. I don't want to lose you anymore, please." Jessica's face was filled with concern as she spoke.
"Can't believe she did that," Morgan thought to himself, then pushed his hands towards Jessica's eyes and cleaned her tears.
"Please don't cry. I won't die, neither create any more troubles again," Morgan assured.
Jessica smiled then nodded her head. "Thank you, Morgan," she said. Then pushed forward and hugged Morgan.
"I love you," she added.
"I love you too, Jessica," Morgan replied, hugging Jessica softly.
Initially, Morgan was paid to marry Jessica, and after they got married and as destiny and love conquered everything, Morgan fell deeply in love with Jessica. Now it wasn't about the money, but true love.
Jessica was in a wheelchair before they both got married. Jessica got ill all of a sudden, and that led to her legs not functioning. The illness happened in a mysterious way, and when the doctor did some tests, he noticed a toxic chemical inside Jessica's system, and he claimed that the only way the chemical could possibly get into Jessica's body was if it was injected. That means Jessica was probably injected with the chemical, by someone.
When the doctor told Abigail about it, Abigail told him he was just blabbing, and that he didn't know what he was saying.
Morgan stood from the chair, still holding Jessica's hands. "I have to go now," Morgan said, looking at Jessica from the top as he stood tall.
"Why now?" Jessica asked, feeling concerned. "Why won't you spend some time with me?" Jessica added her tone changing low.
"I will come every night to check up on you and my son. Remember, I need to stay hidden from Abigail. If not, my death will be twice," Morgan said.
