Chapter 18 - The over peace

His eyes were glowing in purple. With a swift, brutal motion, he cut it into pieces.

Then, without a moment's rest, he rushed toward Juijui—who was collapsed on the ground.

"Juijui… thank you. I'm really thankful to you," he said, kneeling beside her. "If you hadn't bought time, my sister would've been taken by that thing."

He picked her up gently. Then, together, he took both of them home.

That night, he explained everything to Juijui.

She looked at him, concerned. "Why does this always happen around you?"

"I don't know…" he replied quietly. "But I have to stay away from my sister—or I'll drag her into this mess too. I've decided… I'll leave tomorrow. I'll use that teleportation stone, and I'll kill that monster. After that, I'll be able to come home."

She asked, "Teleportation stone? What's that?"

"It's an item dropped by the monster I fought. As it was about to die, it tried to use this stone to escape. I'll use that same stone to go back… and finish it off."

He looked her in the eyes. "So, while I'm gone… please take care of my sister. Just tell her I've gone for training, on a long journey."

The next day

He hugged Xiyau tightly.

"Hey brother… what's happened?" she asked, sensing something off.

"No, it's nothing," he replied, forcing a smile.

"There's definitely something…"

"Okay now, I'm leaving for school. Bye!" she said, turning away.

Rantaro stood still, holding the teleportation stone in his hand.

"Okay… let me kill that antithe who tried to hurt my family."
