Chapter 143 - Bob and the Future of Humanity Project begins

Meanwhile…

Whilst Des Potte was scheming, countless other people were…

Dreaming.

*We now cut to the life of one particular applicant 'potentially relevant' to the plot…*

Jane Elizabeth considered herself ordinary (though of course, she wasn't).

But then... she had seen the - now famous - video.

In it, a handsome and charismatic guy that looked like a K-Pop star x CEO had mentioned something about a [Sperm Bank Scholarship].

They say that sometimes you just see something that you never even considered before and then one day you just realise that it's something you want.

Ok fine, author just made that up.

Nevertheless, in this instance, this turned out to be the case.

She… wanted this.

Well. Not immediately.

At first, it had just been a curiosity.

You know, just something for laughs.

But then.

She… actually started thinking about it.

Caressing the considerations…

Playing with the possibilities…

Touching, toying, and teasing at the terms, delving and diving deeper into the details… imagining what it might be like…

There was no question that there were a lot of attractive things involved.

First off… to not beat around the 'bush'...

It was a scholarship, something that was limited and valuable, and exclusive.

If you were successful in the lottery, then the Scholarship pledged full support financially and more importantly, provided opportunities via exclusive Education and Training that would allow both herself and her future likely gorgeous kids a chance to live their lives to the full.

The Opportunities would include access to life opportunities, specific skill acquisition, mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being…

She also realised that she wanted to be a mom.

Not initially, originally she had been averse to the idea, thinking of the challenges involved, the potential sacrifices, but after thinking more and more about what Valentine proposed…

It was true that the 'Gift of Life' was something incredible, and that if we would create a better world, more hope, opportunities, education and awareness for all people… then why not?!

She had tried her hand at dating, and it always left something to be desired.

It was tiring and a waste of time and effort, though sometimes it could be fun, she supposed, but in the end, she realised that she didn't really believe in such a future - after a while, she was just going through the motions.

Her own parents had often been working and hadn't had time to spend with her, would she just perpetuate the same cycle?

Money. Resources. Opportunities. Human Needs.

Through the veneer of fun, these were the frank kinds of things that relationships ultimately came down to…

And at last… here was a chance !

A chance to rewrite the script. This was what the Future of Humanity [Sperm Bank Scholarship] appeared to be offering.

What was there to lose?

After a long period of thought and contemplation, she had finished her application, and at last, after uploading all the relevant details, her fingers now paused, hovered over the button...

Well... there was no guarantee of success anyway, and you missed 100% of the shots you didn't take.

She briefly considered, before finally, clicking

*Send*

and of course, as you do, forgetting all about it.
