Chapter 206 - Bob and Jon’s encounter with the Dark Rizzards

Currently each of the ARSES were responsible for their own 'point' of the 5-pointed star. Jon was defending the south east point of the island, Jemima was in the south west, Clive was in the east, Fergus was in the west, and Lazarus was in the northern tip, whilst Sally was in the centre Island together with Tristen and Rowena.

The main plan of the ARSES was to buy enough time for Sally, Rowena and Tristen to get off the Secret Island complex whilst also spreading themselves out to divert the Dark Rizzards' attentions.

This was why Lazarus, Fergus, Clive, Jemima and Jon each had a piece of the full EVP Technology Blueprint on them - in order to get the Dark Rizzards' attention, they needed something tempting in order to get the Dark Rizzards to chase after them.

The Dark Rizzards wouldn't know which point Sally Tristen and Rowena would escape from, not to mention they were actually considered highly dangerous and good at fighting - Tristen had managed to get the best of Itvasme in their last encounter, whilst Sally had also inadvertently dismantled Itvashim's confidence after their supposed one night stand - so it was highly tempting to take on the other ARSES members instead.

All they had to do was isolate each of the minor members of ARSES if they got the chance in order to plunder their EVP Technology Blueprints. That seemed a lot better than taking on the Core of the Anti-Rizz Realm Sally Tristen and Rowena but still, the objective was the objective - if they encountered Sally, they would surely consider surrounding them for an all out attack.

As a result, intel and communications were paramount.

By chance, the first point that the Dark Rizzards arrived at happened to be Jon's on the south-eastern outermost island.

"That'll be $69.67…"

They had just finished paying for their orders out of habit - since Hugo needed the subscription to actually go through when they remembered that they were also on a mission for the EVP Blueprint technology.

"By the way… We have a delivery… for a certain… Jon." Itvasme said casually, whilst carefully observing the cashier for reactions.

Jon was just a normal guy, and he had been waiting for his Blu-Rays, glow-in-the-dark stickers and vintage stress balls for quite some time, and his eyes lit up.

"Oh… yeah, that would be me."

"Not so fast."

As he reached his hand out for the package, Itvasme withdrew it in a baiting manner.

"I'm going to need you to sign for it…"

"Oh, sure, all right."

As Jon began to sign, she continued.

"… and to hand over your part of the EVP blueprint…"

Jon suddenly… stiffened, in a description that made Hugo somewhat envious.

He suddenly put on a cap, which hid his face in the shadow, giving off an extremely ominous feeling, which the Dark Rizzards conveniently ignored, since they were engrossed in their extortion-ing.

"Give us the Blueprint Jonnie boy… Or you can say goodbye to your Blu-Rays…"

Jon continued to have his face hidden in the shadow of his cap, giving off a menacing aura.

Suddenly, a drawl could be heard from the shadows of the cap.

"…Wait… What did you say…?" Jon quoted a line from the MC playbook which he had steadfastly memorized when he was a young kid, with dreams of being special, extraordinary in a world of normies...

The Dark Rizzards had studied up though, and knew that Jon was, despite everything, apparently still just a normal guy, and according to that reasoning, probably the weakest? Of the ARSES so they weren't that worried.

"…You heard me."

They were seasoned experts, and of course countered with the tried and true continuation from their "Timeless Villain Lines" playbook.

"Ah… wait a sec."

Jon suddenly cursed, and then ducked under the counter, before coming back up with an empty aluminium soft-drink can in one hand, which he gripped tightly.

"Uh... All right. We can keep going."

He got back into menacing angry-MC character mode.

He let the tension grow a bit, before continuing.

"A'ight…Give me my Blu-Rays now and no one gets hurt."

The Dark Rizzards knew that this was their cue.

They laughed in disbelief.

"Hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!"

"Or… what?! Whatchu' gonna do, boi?!"

Jon gripped the empty aluminium can in his hand which he had meticulously prepared for this occasion, and squeezed it in his fist, in a show of barely controlled anger.

It crumpled in a normal manner, but the closeup camera angle, slow-motion replays and delicious denting-metal SFX made it seem especially dramatic. This was the power of cinematography.

As usual though, the Dark Rizzards played their role to perfection, ignoring him and continuing to escalate.

"Oh… what's this? What happens if I unwrap the packaging on this Blu-Ray…"

Several of the Dark Rizzards chuckled nervously. They knew that they had crossed a line. You never mess with another man's Blu-Rays.

…Suddenly, the camera pans to show Jon's eyes in the dark shadow of his cap, which suddenly light up luminously… and ignite!!! - with the utter, unhinged, gaudy glow of crazy...
