Chapter 3 - 3. The Rise of the Silver Dragon

After feeling a strange sensation in her stomach, Long Ruyin realized that the time had come—her unborn child would soon be born and see this world.

A few days later, a long scream echoed from within the village doctor's house—a scream that shattered the calm morning.

In the simple room of the village doctor, Long Ruyin lay on the bed, her face covered in sweat, yet still radiating an extraordinary sense of calm. Four women from the village stood around her, their eyes wide in awe as they witnessed an unexplained phenomenon.

Amniotic fluid flowed like golden liquid, sparkling under the lantern light. The umbilical cord emitted light in a spiraling dragon pattern, pulsing slowly, like a living symbol of fate.

"Please... help me," Long Ruyin whispered hoarsely. Her hands clenched the bed sheets until they tore, as she endured unimaginable pain while keeping her consciousness intact.

The old doctor quickly signaled the women to prepare.

"It's almost time...! Push, Miss Long! Just a little more!" the doctor urged as he examined Long Ruyin's condition.

Long Ruyin summoned all her strength. A muffled groan escaped her lips, while sweat continued to pour down her forehead. The village women held her hands, offering support without many words. Amid the tearing pain and her weakening body, Long Ruyin persisted with unwavering determination.

Moments later, the soft, characteristic cry of a baby filled the room.

The doctor wrapped the baby in a warm cloth that had been prepared. "A handsome boy," he said softly.

Long Ruyin cried quietly, not from pain, but from relief. Her weak hand reached out gently. The doctor handed the baby to her embrace.

The baby stopped crying. He looked up at his mother with eyes that were not fully open yet, as if recognizing the warmth of the figure who had cared for him all this time.

Long Ruyin gazed at the little face, her lips forming a faint smile, despite her still-tired body.

"Your name... is Long Tianyu. May you grow into a strong and wise man," Long Ruyin whispered, her voice barely audible, but full of love.

Her hand gently caressed the baby's cheek. Long Tianyu's eyes, red as gemstones, stared at his mother without crying, simply silent—as if memorizing the face of the woman he saw first in this world.

The room grew quiet again. The doctor and the women worked quietly, cleaning and tidying up the room without excessive noise. Outside, the world continued as usual—no one knew that behind the walls of this small house, an extraordinary child had been born into the world.

...

However, far from that village, in a place untouched by ordinary humans...

Star Dou Forest, Core Area.

The Star Dou Forest is one of the most famous habitats for large spirit beasts on the Douluo Continent. The size of the forest is immense, almost as large as the territories of the nearby great kingdoms.

This is an ancient, vast forest, with a complex terrain that includes marshes, swamps, and more. The area is in a tropical zone, with dense and wild vegetation dominating every corner.

The spirit beasts here are known for their cruelty and murderous intent. They are terrifying and strong. If a spirit master has the right strength and a little luck, they can find a Spirit Ring that is most suitable for them. The closer one gets to the center of the forest, the stronger the spirit beasts become.

This is also the forest where many of the strongest spirit beasts reside. The forest is divided into three regions: the outer region, the hybrid region, and the core region.

The dense canopy of trees blocks the sunlight, acting as an impenetrable barrier to the sun's rays. Enveloped in darkness, no sunlight can penetrate the depths of this forest.

Deep within the forest, there is a small lake whose crystal-clear water makes the lake's bottom visible. The clear, pure water resembles rich dark blue crystal and emits a soft light from within, as if the lake itself has a pulse of life.

At the edge of the lake, several giant spirit beasts are absorbing energy from a glowing spiritual worm. These creatures are not ordinary beings—their ages have exceeded hundreds of thousands of years, and one of them is believed to have lived for more than 800,000 years. They are all drawn to the immense energy radiating from the worm.

At this moment, a terrifying aura emerges, causing the entire world to tremble.

Hum… The ground beneath their feet trembled momentarily before the intensity increased. The lake's water remained as clear as before, but bubbles now rose rapidly from its surface. After a while, the tremors grew stronger, becoming more intense.

The spirit beasts stopped absorbing energy and turned their attention to the source of the tremors: the Lake of Life.

Boom! A silvery light appeared from the ground, then struck the shore with a loud crash.

It was a giant silver claw. The silver claw was covered in many hexagonal silver scales, each of which reflected light, creating a dazzling magnificence. The sound of the impact carried an unrivaled suppressive force that made all living creatures kneel in reverence.

The strongest spirit beast, a dragon, stepped forward and knelt on one knee. He respectfully declared, "I welcome you, my Lord!"

The earth exploded instantly, releasing a powerful aura that even caused a thirty-meter-tall ferocious bear to be thrown back. A gigantic figure, more than three hundred meters long, suddenly soared high before landing with a loud thud.

The tall trees that once stood near it were now replaced by this giant beast. However, when facing the silver giant, all they could do was bow down before it.

The brilliant silver light blinded all spirit beasts. They could only kneel, lowering their heads, while their bodies trembled with excitement.

The blinding silver light slowly dimmed, revealing a three-hundred-meter-long Silver Dragon. Its scales gleamed like mirrors, reflecting the shadows of all the creatures around it. Its eyes, the color of the full moon, radiated both authority and anxiety.

"He's dead, but I am still alive!" The deep voice roared with sadness. "Those cursed humans want to annihilate us?!"

The roar shook the surrounding air, causing the forest to fall into an eerie silence. None dared to bear the wrath of the Spirit Beast King.

After a moment, the Silver Dragon finally calmed down. Its heavy breaths slowly became regular.

"Di Tian," it said, this time in a lower voice but still full of authority. "Follow me to the human world. We must find the remnants of the Golden Dragon King. I can still feel… he has not been completely destroyed."

Di Tian, the Black Dragon King with Golden Eyes, also known as the God of Beasts, immediately bowed in respect. "Understood, my Lord."

The gigantic Silver Dragon slowly took a step forward, heading toward the exit of the forest. Through the towering tree canopy, a ray of light pierced through and illuminated its extraordinary form. Yet, with each step it took, its size gradually shrank. Just as its figure disappeared into the distance, it had transformed into a human.

...

Xing Luo Empire, Star Luo City.

Star Luo City was the capital of the Star Luo Empire, also known as the Number One City. As the political, cultural, and economic center of the Empire, this city held the title of "The Invincible Imperial Capital."

The city walls of Star Luo City stood a hundred meters high and a hundred meters wide. Made from extremely strong stone, these walls protected a vast area, more than a thousand square kilometers. With a length and width of over fifty kilometers, it served as an almost impenetrable fortress.

In this city, there was a six-year-old child running around the city walls. On his head, he carried a stone weighing more than 400 kg.

"Huff… huff…" heavy panting sounds came from the little child.

Compared to the stone he carried, his small frame appeared strikingly out of place. However, he easily lifted the stone, something even adults might find difficult to do.

After running a few laps, the child stopped and placed the stone near him. He then lay down on the grassy ground, his breath still heavy. Sweat soaked his body, dripping from his forehead and falling to the ground, forming small droplets on the dry earth from his intense training.

His eyes were fixed on the vast blue sky above. The white clouds drifted by calmly, and for some reason, that view brought a sense of peace within him.

After a while, he got up. The child walked toward the city gate and greeted the guards on duty. The guards, accustomed to his presence, only responded with indifference, as they were used to seeing him leave early in the morning and return covered in sweat.

Upon entering the city, the child headed straight for his home, located in the northwest corner of the city.
