Chapter 3 - Beta Testers, Buffering Gods, and Broken Controllers

The Eclipsed Sanctum hummed with uneasy calm. Ravi slumped on his starlit throne, fingers twitching from residual code burns. Aria's glitched scream still echoed in the air like static tinnitus.

Liora polished her holy sword, her armor still smoking. "Creator, should we prepare for her return?"

Sylva flopped onto a couch, igniting a cigar with her thumb. "Relax. We blew her up with cats. How scary can she be?"

Kaela glared at her holographic tome. "According to System Warfare for Beginners, she'll reboot with a vengeance. Probably in… seven hours."

Vex sharpened her daggers in the corner. "Or she'll send someone worse."

Ravi groaned. "Why can't villains just stay deleted?"

[System Alert: "Incoming Transmission from [Nyx]. Accept? Y/N."]

He mashed Y.

Nyx's hologram flickered into view, lounging on a black hole like a chaise longue. "Cute trick with the memes, kid. But Aria's just the tutorial boss. The Beta Testers are logging in. Ever fought someone with dev commands?"

"Dev commands?" Ravi frowned. "I'm the admin!"

"Admin, schmadmin. These guys wrote the system. They'll tear your world apart for fun." Nyx tossed him a USB labeled "Cheat Codes (Last Resort)." "Don't die till I finish my nap."

She vanished.

Sylva raised an eyebrow. "Are we… boned?"

Ravi grinned. "Nah. We're streaming."

The Sanctum's alarms blared as the sky split into a pixelated vortex. Three figures descended:

Zane "Overkill" Voss: A cyborg warlord with a minigun that fired black holes.

Luna "Glitch" Mirage: A hacker-ninja whose katana corrupted reality.

Titan "404" Null: A giant mech piloting a planet-cracker hammer.

[Beta Testers Detected. Threat Level: "LOL, GG."]

Zane grinned. "Let's stress-test this trash server."

Liora charged Zane, her shield deflecting black holes into the stratosphere. "Your evil ends here!"

Zane laughed. "Cute. Ever fought someone who respawns?" He regenerated limbs like a hydra.

Sylva dueled Luna, their clash of fire and glitch-code melting mountains. "Stay still, you flickering bitch!"

Luna smirked. "Error: Skill issue."

Kaela and Edgar faced Titan, hurling books titled "Why Your Mech Sucks" while dodging hammer strikes.

Vex vanished, hunting for weak points.

Ravi watched, fingers flying over his cosmic remote. "Time to cheat."

Ravi plugged in Nyx's USB. [Cheat Code Activated: "Plot Armor.exe."]

The Sanctum glowed gold. Liora's shield now reflected damage and therapy lectures. Sylva's fire turned rainbow-colored. Kaela's books sprouted teeth.

Zane paused. "Hey, that's against TOS!"

"Sue me," Ravi said. "Delete."

Zane exploded into confetti—then respawned. "Beta Testers don't die, dumbass."

Vex reappeared, daggers at Ravi's throat. "The Demon King ordered your death."

The room froze.

"V-Vex?!" Liora gasped.

Ravi smirked. "Knew it."

Vex's blade trembled. "Why aren't you fighting back?"

"Because you're not her," Ravi said, tapping her forehead. A hologram fizzled—Vex was a clone.

The real Vex dropped from the ceiling, stabbing the clone. "Dumbass."

Ravi winked. "Knew that too."

In the Demon King's throne room, Aria rebooted on his altar, her code intertwined with his dark magic.

"Why help me?" she hissed.

The Demon King grinned. "I'll let you kill the Creator… after he softens up the Beta Testers."

Aria's eyes glowed red. [Alliance Formed: "Enemy of My Enemy."]

Mid-battle, Kaela uncovered a hidden file in the Sanctum's archives: "World_Original_Backup.zip."

"Creator!" she yelled. "This world's a copy. The real one's… gone."

Ravi paled. "So we're all just… DLC?"

[Beta Tester Titan: "Correction: You're a buggy early access build."]

Ravi's cheat code glitched. The Sanctum began dissolving.

"Overclocking too hard!" he shouted. "Gonna blow!"

Liora: "Creator, stop!"

Sylva: "Do it! Blow them up!"

Kaela: "This is why I hate early adopters…"

Ravi unleashed a supernova of code, consuming the Beta Testers—and himself.

Ravi floated in nothingness, his body pixelated.

Nyx appeared, sipping coffee. "Congrats! You triggered a hard reset. Now, here's the kicker—this was Beta World 7. The real Creator? He quit. You're… unemployed."

Ravi stared. "So… what now?"

"Rebuild. Or ragequit. Your call."

In a pristine dimension, the true Creator—a bored office worker—paused his spreadsheet.

"Huh. Beta World 7's stats spiked. Must be a glitch." He deleted the file.

[Beta World 7: "Connection Lost."]
