Chapter 109 - Chapter 109: Karakura Town, The Creation King Key

"Ahhh!!!"

Screams echoed through the roaring wind.

The shockwave from Tengai Shinsei was overwhelming. Ordinary Shinigami and Menos Grande below the level of Adjuchas didn't stand a chance.

They were swept up like dandelion seeds in a storm, tossed helplessly into the sky.

From a distance, it looked like a scene out of a nightmare—dozens of people flying through the air like debris in a hurricane.

"We have to stop it!" Byakuya Kuchiki shouted urgently.

If the meteorite actually landed, he might survive it, but the ordinary Shinigami around them wouldn't. Not a single one.

"I warned you not to bring these weaklings along..." Kurotsuchi Mayuri muttered, frowning in disgust as he looked at the panicked Shinigami.

Still, he stepped forward, drew his Zanpakutō, and pointed it toward the burning sky.

"Bankai!""Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō!"

His bizarre Bankai appeared—golden, worm-like, with a grotesque baby face. It let out a strange roar as it materialized.

"Go. Stop that thing!" Mayuri ordered, pointing at the falling meteorite without the slightest hesitation.

Ashisogi Jizō let out another roar, its violent gaze locked on the sky.

Then... it froze.

It turned its head slowly, looking back down at Mayuri with a confused, almost frightened expression.

Mayuri's face darkened. "What? You're my Zanpakutō. Don't tell me you're refusing to obey me?"

Ashisogi Jizō screamed, a look of sheer despair crossing its baby-like face. Then it turned back and hurled its body upward, straight toward the incoming meteorite.

At the same time, Byakuya Kuchiki activated his own Bankai, and Zaraki Kenpachi, despite being injured, forced out a new wave of golden Reiatsu and charged again.

Even the Menos Grande in the distance realized they had no choice. The meteorite's range was too massive—running wouldn't save them.

So they turned and rushed forward, desperate to push back against fate.

Then came a calm, cold voice:

"Restrain... Murciélago."

It was Ulquiorra.

(tln-fkn aura)

His sword glowed as he activated his Segunda Etapa—Second Release.

In an instant, his body changed even further, beyond the first stage.

His upper clothing vanished, revealing his pale chest. Black liquid streamed from his eyes, and now two streaks ran down beneath each eye. The whites of his eyes turned green.

Black feathers grew across his body—from his arms and back to his legs and chest—forming armor-like wings.

The horns on his helmet grew longer and curved upward. A black tail extended behind him, its end shaped like a sharp blade. His feet now had razor-sharp claws. His Hollow hole expanded, and a dark pattern spread from it down his torso.

A terrifying Reiatsu exploded from him—so intense it felt like an ocean was crashing down from above.

The very sky began to change color, turning greenish. It even began to rain lightly.

Seeing Ulquiorra's new form, Nnoitra, Szayelaporro, Zommari, and the other Espada were all frozen in disbelief.

"That guy… actually developed a second-stage Resurrección?" Nnoitra muttered, face dark with frustration.

To him, Ulquiorra's spiritual pressure now seemed equal to that of even Baraggan Louisenbairn, the second Espada.

But now wasn't the time to argue. With a grim expression, Nnoitra drew his Zanpakutō and called out:

"Pray, Holy Weeping Mantis!"

Szayelaporro and Zommari didn't hesitate either. Seeing the situation, they both released their Zanpakutō.

"Sip… Fornicarás!""Submit… Brujería!"

Their appearances transformed instantly.

Szayelaporro's lower body morphed into a mass of tentacles, which then shifted again—becoming solid legs and a robe-like hem. Four insect-like wings sprouted from his back, and colorful rings appeared around his eye sockets.

Zommari's face and jaw were now covered with black markings. His lower body transformed into a strange, peach-shaped bulb that floated above the ground. His body was covered in dozens of eerie eyes—nearly fifty of them blinking across his chest and arms.

The battlefield was filled with chaos, power, and desperation—as everyone threw everything they had at the incoming catastrophe.

They all looked completely inhuman—strange, twisted, and unsettling.

But with so many powerful fighters working together, the massive meteorite that had touched down was finally starting to break apart. Cracks spread across its surface, growing wider and deeper.

Watching this from atop his fully-formed Susanoo, Qiye casually stroked his chin and said:

"So… if I told you there's another meteorite in space about to fall, would you all lose your minds?"

Byakuya Kuchiki: "..."

Kurotsuchi Mayuri: "…"

Zaraki Kenpachi: "…"

Ulquiorra: "…"

Everyone turned to look at Qiye with wide eyes—as if he were the devil himself.

Another one!?

(tln-whiz?)

They expanded their spiritual awareness, and immediately sensed the second meteorite high in space, just beginning to descend. Their hearts sank.

This one was even bigger than the first.

It had already deviated from its original path.

Now, it was crashing straight toward them.

Byakuya's expression darkened as he controlled his scattering petals in the sky.

"Qiye, are you trying to kill us and the Hollows at the same time?" he snapped.

If this second meteorite landed, even someone like him might end up seriously injured.

"Hurry up and get rid of it!"

Mayuri gritted his teeth, clearly frustrated. "Just to deal with a few Menos Grande, you go and call down two meteorites? That's overkill."

He glanced at Szayelaporro. "If that rock hadn't interrupted us, I would've finished this clown already."

Qiye sighed.

"Alright, alright…"

He raised his hand and released the gravitational pull that had been dragging the second meteorite down.

In the darkness of space, the giant fireball slowed… then gently floated back upward, returning to its proper orbit.

After finishing, Qiye glanced at the others still struggling to stop the first meteorite.

He let out a sigh.

"Now I get why old man Yamamoto doesn't like using his Bankai. The destruction is just… a bit too much."

With just one use of Tengai Shinsei, he had already reduced the entire Kyono Palace to rubble.

If Yamamoto ever used his Bankai seriously—without caring about consequences—the devastation would be far worse.

It could very well wipe out all of the Seireitei.

Meanwhile... in the human world—Karakura Town.

The clear, blue sky suddenly split open with a massive black rift.

It was wide, and pitch dark inside.

From it, waves of terrifying Menos Grande poured out, each more monstrous than the last—like demons spilling from a hellish gate.

And then, stronger beings followed.

The Espada had arrived:

The First Espada: Coyote Starrk

The Second Espada: Baraggan Louisenbairn

The Sixth Espada: Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez

And the Tenth Espada—also ranked as Third: Tier Harribel

As these four stepped into the human world, two more figures emerged behind them.

Aizen Sōsuke and Ichimaru Gin.

Aizen looked down at the city spread out beneath them and smiled.

"This is it," he said. "A land rich with spiritual energy… 100,000 human souls, all concentrated in one location. A perfect foundation."

Baraggan, the former King of Hueco Mundo, snorted and sat down on the throne made from bones—carried by his subordinates.

"Aizen," he said coldly, "this place may have strong spiritual energy, but it's nothing special. Why go through all this trouble just to come here?"

Ichimaru Gin, standing next to him, gave a sly smile. His fox-like eyes narrowed as he glanced at Baraggan's posture.

A "king"—still pretending to rule, even after losing everything to Aizen. He even had his throne brought along. It was pathetic, and anyone watching could see how fake it all was.

But Aizen didn't react. He simply kept staring at the city below.

"Once this city is refined," he said calmly, "it will become the key—the King's Key that can open the gate to the Soul King Palace."

"That's what this is about. Hueco Mundo no longer matters. As long as it keeps the Soul Society occupied, it's served its purpose."

Baraggan's face twisted with anger.

"So you are abandoning Hueco Mundo, Aizen?" he asked sharply.

Outwardly, he was furious. But inside, he was secretly pleased.

If Aizen left, he could reclaim his throne. And as for Starrk—though stronger—Baraggan didn't worry about him.

Starrk's lazy personality made it unlikely he'd ever want the responsibility of ruling anything.

Aizen gave no reply, simply smiling in silence.

But Gin's eyes narrowed. His usual playful smile faded slightly.

He knew what Aizen's real goal was.

Hueco Mundo had always just been a stepping stone.

A launchpad to the Soul King Palace.

And once Aizen invaded that sacred realm—once he succeeded—this entire world would be changed forever.

Or worse… destroyed.

Aizen looked around the city one more time and smiled softly.

"But first," he said, "before we begin creating the King's Key… there are some old friends we need to greet."

His gaze sharpened.

"Like… the Captain-Commander himself—Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni."
