Chapter 7 - 7. The Failed Rescue: Agatha’s Descent into Cryo Sleep

The Unpredictable Manifestation of Agatha's Potential Abilities

Agatha's latent abilities are deeply tied to her emotional state—while she has been trained to suppress her feelings, the forced separation from Joe has fractured her control. If she reaches a breaking point, her powers may awaken completely, leading to unpredictable consequences.

Erythari Field Manipulation: Agatha may be able to bend or twist Erythari resonance waves, disrupting their feeding mechanisms completely. She could potentially forcefully bind Erythari to her will, making them unable to act without her emotional presence. In extreme cases, she might even transform Erythari into entirely new beings, shifting their existence from predators to symbiotic entities permanently.

Cryo-Resonance Effect: Her body's temperature anomalies could be more than a mere side effect—she may actually alter heat dynamics within a given space, plunging rooms or even planetary zones into an extreme cold beyond natural limits. This could serve as a defense mechanism, freezing enemies in place or weakening energy-based attacks from Erythari or other opponents. If uncontrolled, entire landscapes could become frozen wastelands, permanently altering Vetr itself.

Quantum Dissolution: The Snow bloodline's genetic anomaly has never been fully understood, but Agatha might be able to directly dismantle Erythari energy fields, reducing them to raw, chaotic matter. This ability would make her the first human capable of fully erasing an Erythari's existence, something thought to be impossible due to their ethereal nature. However, its effects could be unstable—she might destroy more than intended, possibly causing spatial rifts or distorting reality itself.

Forced Symbiosis Evolution: Instead of simply repelling Erythari, Agatha's presence could drive them into a new state of existence, potentially forcing all Erythari in proximity to become permanently non-hostile. This would rewrite the laws of their biology, transforming them into an entirely new species dependent on Agatha's presence. It could either save humanity—or create an entirely new threat, one that no one understands.

The Looming Danger

If Agatha fully loses control, Freya could become the first transformed Erythari in history—a being that is no longer limited by its species' nature.

Vetr's security forces, loyal to the Snow dynasty, have already raised concerns about Freya's behavior. If she continues to change, there will be only two options:

Agatha must re-establish control over her emotions, preventing Freya's transformation from reaching its peak. Or she must leave Vetr, taking Freya somewhere isolated—before her abilities trigger something irreversible. For this to happen she felt that she must have Joe near him as his best friend. She could not go to Eden star system due high temperatures there because of its three stars and high industrialization. Her monthly visits from Joe would also cease because of switching of Joe's citizenship to Eden which did not have many diplomatic ties with Snow family.

Agatha Snow had never felt powerless—until Joe was taken from Vashara. His exile to Eden, the scorched, industrialized heart of the Sol Dominion, had shattered her carefully controlled world. For the first time, she was emotionally unstable, her grief warping the passive symbiosis she shared with Freya, the Erythari bonded to her since birth.

She knew she couldn't afford to lose control—Vetr's delicate balance depended on her restraint. But deep in her heart, she knew that as long as Joe was gone, her emotions would never stabilize. And so, she devised a reckless plan.

She would break protocol, steal a ship, and find Joe before her bond with Freya collapsed completely. She chose her home planet, Flykra, as the launch point—one of the deepest frozen worlds in the Snow Dominion, untouched by outside politics. She believed she could operate from its tundra-covered wastelands without interference. She was so very wrong. Archon Ragnar Snow, her father, had anticipated her desperation. As Agatha arrived on Flykra, she felt the uneasy presence of watchers—Snow family enforcers stationed at key points, monitoring her movements.

She knew she had only minutes to execute her escape before they intervened. With Freya by her side, her ship prepared for launch, she activated the navigation systems, locking coordinates toward Eden, where Joe remained with his maternal family. She didn't even get off the ground.

Without warning, a planet-wide lockdown order activated—her ship's engines froze mid-sequence, overridden by Archon Ragnar's security command. The sky above Flykra darkened as Snow Dominion interceptor crafts descended.

She had been betrayed, anticipated, and cornered.

Freya, sensing danger, emitted a pulse of Erythari energy—a flare of distorted resonance that briefly scrambled Flykra's suppression fields.

For a moment, Agatha thought she could fight back.

But Ragnar Snow was prepared for her abilities. She never stood a chance.

Agatha was forcefully detained. The Snow family's elite enforcers subdued her, restraining Freya with energy fields specifically calibrated against Erythari disturbances. Being just 9 years she did not have enough energy to fight whole squadron of soldiers. She fought, screaming—not from fear, but pure rage, the same unstable emotions that had begun altering Freya's existence. Ragnar Snow stood before her, expression cold, unreadable.

"You are losing control," he said.

Her breath came in ragged gasps, her azure eyes burning with fury. "I can control it—just let me go to Joe—"

"No," Ragnar interrupted. "Not until you are stable."

Freya twisted, her spectral form shuddering, trying to break free—but the Snow Dominion's suppressor devices held firm.

Agatha knew what was coming.

Her father would not let her jeopardize the fragile equilibrium of Vetr.

He would do whatever was necessary to prevent an Erythari transformation.

That was when the Mother AI was activated.

Flykra was more than just a cold world—it was built upon the ruins of an extinct super-civilization, one that had long since ascended beyond the physical realm.

Before their departure from material existence, the civilization had left behind their greatest creation: The Mother AI called Lumi—an entity designed to oversee Flykra in their absence.

When Ragnar ordered Agatha into cryo sleep, he did not simply freeze her body.

He connected her mind to the Mother AI.

Its instructions were simple:

Put Agatha in suspended animation until her emotions stabilized.

Teach her control over Freya's evolution.

Ensure she does not awaken until she is no longer a threat to herself—or to Vetr.

Despite her resistance, Agatha was placed into deep cryogenic stasis, her consciousness entangled with the AI's neural network.

For the first time in her life, she was completely powerless.

Agatha now exists in a state of liminal existence, her body preserved in ice, but her mind suspended within the depths of an AI far beyond human understanding.

Inside the vast digital expanse of the Mother AI, she undergoes forced conditioning, a process meant to rebuild her emotional control before she is ever allowed to wake.

But something unexpected is happening.

The AI, originally designed as a simple overseer, is beginning to alter its approach.

Instead of merely suppressing Agatha's emotions, it is exploring them—analyzing her connection to Freya, her grief for Joe, and the unstable power within her.

It does not fully understand what Agatha is becoming.

And neither does Ragnar.

The Uncertain Future

Agatha Snow remains frozen.

Freya remains bound.

But deep within the digital labyrinth of the Mother AI, something is shifting.

The program meant to stabilize her emotions is beginning to unravel, morphing into something else entirely.

Instead of suppressing her abilities, the AI may be on the verge of unlocking them—leading to a transformation that could reshape the war against the Erythari forever.

And when Agatha Snow finally awakens, the galaxy will not be prepared.
