"You should eat else it will get cold" Maria Moore said as she came out of the mini kitchen but noticed Edward James was on the phone with his facial expression unreadable.
"I get it" Edward James said and hung up the call before turning his attention to Maria.
" You should know I don't want you going to the branch company but I don't want to impose on your decision" Edward James told her as he sat down to eat.
" I'll rather work somewhere else then" she said but she got a glare from Edward.
" You dare" he asked
"I Know you won't hurt me so I'll gladly work for someone else" she told him eating as well as she didn't eat much before leaving the house.
"That's true but not with whosoever you gonna work for" Edward stated
"You're mean! Why would you go after the innocent guy? Am the one who_"
"Guy huh? Seems you got some where or someone in mind" Edward James said keeping his spoon.
"No I don't am just saying_ stop don't stare at me like that am not a criminal" she stated as Edward stared deeply at her, if only she knew he has undressed her in his mind she won't be sitting still.
"You like me but you don't want to open up to it" Edward James said causing her to choke on her food.
"What's wrong with the boss and his employees today, they both want me to die of choking" Maria Moore said when she calmed down but she didn't know she just gave Lila away.
"How did Lila make you choke on your food" he asked them Maria recalled her words just now and she facepalm herself inwardly.
"Hmm, don't go punishing her it was just a simple question_ am done and am heading to the design company to be a way from your headache" Maria said rolling her eyes as she walks out of the mini kitchen
" Wait a minute" Edward James told her as he grabbed his suit jacket and phones before stepping out with her each office they walked past the occupant will steal glances at them but, Edward James kept his normal stern facial expression.
"Too cold, like ice city" Maria Moore murmured in sarcasm just so Edward James can hear before they got into his private elevator.
Immediately the elevator door closed Edward James pinned her to the glass wall and whispered into her ears
" Since you're cold let me warm you up"
" I was referring to HRH of ice city not myself" Maria Moore told him and he held himself from chucking as she kept on teasing him.
"Who's this HRH of ice city?" Edward James pretend not to know she's been referring to him as he kept on staring at her inviting lips.
"Who else if not you" Maria Moore said not scared
"I can actually seal your mouth with ice you know" Edward James said
"Boss the_ oops sorry I didn't see anything" said his assistant who just came back from an assignment and saw the elevator just open but didn't know his boss and lady were having their fun time
" How did it go" Edward James asked as he stepped out of the elevator followed by Maria who was cursing at him in her mind.
"Not good, it's a 45/50 chances " the assistant told him
"Okay, where's he?" He asked taking the drivers seat
"We have him" said his assistant.
"Hmm" with that he drove off from the packing lot with Maria Moore.
After driving for five minutes he stopped by the road side before looking at Maria Moore who is surprised as to why he packed by the road side.
"Am sorry but I have to to this" Edward James told her and immediately captured her lips, the kiss wasn't ruched not to slow it's the kind you kiss someone who you truly love.
"Let me please" he said in between kiss asking her to open her mouth so he can kiss her deeply.
After what felt like ages but it's just couple of minutes he reluctantly released her lips but held her close for few seconds before going back to driving.
"You look stunning in your outfit" Edward James complimented her looks. God knows he won't be himself if he doesn't kiss her, it's a secret known to just his sister Vanessa that he loves it when she's on a dress either half or full length, so it's not surprising his head over hills to see Maria Moore on a dress.
