Chapter 84 - THE GOOD ONES SUFFERS

"Hmm, though it's a bit difficult to control unforseen circumstances but to help improve her health, such things and places that would trigger her nerves should be avoided" the doctor said then paused " she'll be under observation and if there's any changes you'll be informed" the doctor finally said then sighed as he stood up walking to the door then closed it.

"Michelle, sure you can tell me who she is" the doctor said now sitting next to her

"She's my friend and we've been together since over a year, Pete tell me the truth is she gonna be fine" Michelle asked the doctor.

"She's gonna be fine; now tell me, how have you been Michelle" said doctor Pete.

"I've been good.and I didn't know you were in town" Michelle said, Pete took her hands in his making her stand on her feet.

"I got back two weeks ago, I switched place with the doctor who's supposed to be here, I missed you Chelly I miss us_ am famished and am craving your strawberry banana smoothie and cupcakes" Pete told her.

"You can book online and it'll be delivered in half an hour" Michelle told him and he smiled.

"Wow you're now booking online, never new I wouldn't have starved myself this long" Pete said giving her face a little pinch.

"I should get going Moon and Katrina are all alone at the cottage" Michelle said but it was too late for her to retrieve her words.

"Moon and Katrina?" Pete raised a questioning eyebrow at her making her slight panic

"Yeah, they're Kassandra s kids" she lied even though one is hers or rather his son as well.

"Okay, I'd be going back in two days and I'll love to have spend it with you" Pete said softly touching her cheeks.

"Don't you have work, I don't want to be the reason_" she was saying

"You won't interrupt anything and for the records am off duties in the next two days, today is my last day working here" Pete said

"I_am not sure Pete, I don't want to come between you and your family or be the reason you fight with them" Michelle finally voiced her concerns

"Am a man of my own opinion Chelly and you know that, what the Bold family decide doesn't count" he told her.

"Bold family; why didn't I thought of it earlier? Is it possible Kessy is your sister?" Michelle asked locking eyes with him then she saw the semblance.

The same deep aqua blue eyes, pale pink lips, Michelle stepped away from his embrace to observe him.

"You know she's your sister don't you?" She asked him but Pete tried to hold her but she stepped outside

"How could your family be this heartless to their own child? Oh, yes now I see the reason your father doesn't approve of me ha! Don't touch me" Michelle said and walked away but discovered the door is locked.

"Open the door this instant Pete!" She said in anger.

"Until when Chelly?" Pete asked

"What do you mean?" She asked him

"Until when will you stop running away from our discussion_ yes I know she's my sister the minute I saw her but am not sure, I've sent our blood for a DNA. Please Michelle let's talk our differences out and not you running away from it" Pete told her running his hand on her hair.

"Open the damn door doctor Pete" Michelle said not ready to talk

"I will my dear but I've been dying for this" he said and sealed her lips with his not giving her her time to think and it provoked Michelle more and she stepped hard on his foot.

"Chelly!" Doctor Pete cried out but Michelle glared daggers at him

"It seems the Bold family men only knows how to abuse the female folks but it's high time you know am a James and I know my worth_ prepare her transfer papers and I mean it" Michelle stated.

"Doc. Bold speaking_yeah, please I need you to prepare transfer papers for the patient in R108, yeah thanks" doc Pete spoke into the intercom not breaking eye contact with Michelle.

" Am sorry for the kiss it won't repeat itself" Pete told her as he unlocks the door but Michelle walked out not giving him a second glance.

Pete watched as she walks away with heads held high and a straight back, ' what do you expect Pete Bold, a James is always a James. Just as the saying goes when a bad egg breaks the good ones suffers it the most' he said to himself then sighed.
