"Am I supposed to dress or help other women just because they're pregnant" he couldn't help but ask
" What I meant is_" Maria was saying but Mia's voice cut her off
"Mom Dad come quickly am starving" she said holding her stomach dramatically causing those on the table to chuckle but her parents rolled their eyes, seeing the feast on the table Edward asked "who's the celebrant?" Actually they do have spontaneous meal but this was beyond that
"Hello cousin it's so good to see you again" Michelle waved at him drawing his attention to her and he nods with a little smile
"It's good to see you too Michelle" Edward James said as he helped his wife seat before sitting right beside her.
"What took you so long getting down, the last time I checked you weren't the one pregnant" Vanessa told her brother
"My wife is pregnant so am pregnant; isn't that true grandpa?" Edward asked his old man who smiled nodding
"That's very correct and am happy_ it's not bad you go ahead with the office activeness" what grandpa James said caused Maria to chock on her food, Edward helped her calm down with a silly smile on.
"Sorry for that my dear" grandpa apologized but Edward
" I see how active you've made your dearest Maria become" that got him a punch on his left thigh then a pinch but Edward smiled broadly at his wife as he held her hand stopping her from tormenting his thighs.
"Maria dear why aren't you eating? Do you want something else?" Grandma James asked
"No grandma am okay with these" she replied trying effortlessly to free her hand but Edward held her firmly while eating his food.
"Mom wants daddy to feed her" Mia said with her mouth filled with baked chicken and potato
" Is that so my queen?" Edward asked winking at her but she glared at him.
"Edward Roy James" grandma called out his full name and he doesn't like it when ever she does
"Grandma what's wrong?" He asked
"Stop the game and let your wife eat, do you plan on starving my great-grandchild?" Grandma James said in a stern voice but Edward didn't as much do as he was told.
"I don't know what you're talking about grandma"
"Let go of her hands bro, we're used to the game" Kristen told him and Edward shrugged
"It's no big deal I choose to feed my wife thereby holding her hand, what's your headache in it" Edward fired back then stopped eating then took his wife's plate placing food into it as he kept rotating the inner section of the dining table which is programmed in a way to rotate.
"Michelle how's your friend you spoke about?" Grandma James asked her niece as they had their dessert, Edward paid attention to the conversation wanting to know about this friend.
"She's good aunty and she's been a great help" Michelle said and Edward felt relaxed at the mention of 'She'
" Interesting, you should have invited her how you put a call across I want to speak with her" grandma James said but just like you talk of the devil and he's here' Michelle phone rang and it's none other than Kassandra calling
"What a coincidence she's calling_ hello Kessy_ yeah we're good_ yeah cool" as Michelle spoke Edward James went upstairs and Maria found his behavior strange.
"Good night grandma and grandpa" Maria kissed them both then retired for the night.
"I need every detail about Michelle by morning" Maria heard her husband say over a phone call before hanging up the call.
"Michelle I won't let you go sc_" Edward James murmured but unfortunately Maria heard him and he was surprised to see her behind him
"Really" Maria asked with know expression
"What do you mean?" Asked Edward not sure what she meant
"You just said you won't let Michelle go_ do you love her?" Maria asked
