After experiencing the power of a 5-star gold card, Kaeya had gained a clear understanding of its strength.
Filled with anticipation, he tapped the screen for his second 10,000-draw.
A dense violet light flashed—nothing noteworthy happened.
Kaeya sighed lightly and said, "Seems my luck is just decent. Albedo, your turn."
"Alright."
Albedo nodded.
He also performed two 10,000-draws.
But his luck seemed even worse than Kaeya's—no gold cards appeared, though he did get quite a few 4-star purple cards.
In the end, only 14,000 draws remained, but Klee had a blast with them.
From those 14,000 draws, she obtained three bomb materials she absolutely adored.
Even though she now had the "Boom-Boom Launcher," the little one still preferred crafting her bombs by hand.
"We've struck gold this time."
Venti laughed heartily. "Mondstadt now has an extra Anemo Archon, and Kaeya's got the 'Infernal Knight' card. Even without high-tier matching skills, his combat power is at least on par with a low-level deity!"
And all this for just 1.1 billion Mora!
Only now did the group have time to reflect on this.
Indeed, even with just two gold cards, they'd made an insane profit!
That [God] card alone was worth at least three regular gold cards!
Even Zhongli felt tempted by it.
If Liyue gained another [Geo Archon], well… let's just say that after curing Azhdaha, unifying Teyvat would be just a matter of time.
"What's the plan now?" Kaeya asked.
Diluc had already taken up the role of Inspector-General.
Though there was no official appointment document yet, Diluc had already shouldered the responsibilities of a decision-maker.
He said, "We should return to Mondstadt as soon as possible. The sooner we adjust, the faster we can keep up with the new era."
"No objections here," Kaeya agreed.
Albedo had no issues either.
He glanced at the pile of purple cards—few of them piqued his interest.
As an artificial human, Albedo was already at the peak of 4-star strength. These 4-star cards didn't offer him much of a boost, merely expanding his arsenal slightly.
Albedo wasn't particularly driven by combat prowess. He was more interested in things that could help him uncover the truth of the world, or perhaps otherworldly technology and alchemy.
"Let's set off now," Diluc said.
"I'll give you a lift."
Lu Heng raised his hand and opened a teleportation portal.
The other end of the portal was near Stormterror's Lair—not directly in Mondstadt, but close enough.
"Thank you!"
Diluc was the first to step through after expressing his gratitude.
"Thanks, Boss Lu. I'll visit again when I get the chance," Kaeya said with a playful bow.
"Looking forward to it," Lu Heng replied with a smile.
Albedo turned to Klee.
Klee looked up at everyone, her gaze shifting between Lu Heng, Zhongli, and Venti.
The little girl was reluctant to leave.
"You can always call if you want to come play," Lu Heng said, waving his phone.
Klee's eyes lit up, and her disappointment vanished instantly. "Yay! Then Klee will go back too!"
She was eager to show off to Acting Grand Master Jean, like a child proudly presenting a perfect test score and waiting for praise.
"Mr. Lu, we'll take our leave now," Albedo said politely.
"Sure. Feel free to call if anything comes up—no need to stand on ceremony," Lu Heng replied.
"Boss Lu, old man, I'll head over with them too," Venti said.
"Understood," Zhongli replied, having expected this.
Lu Heng simply smiled without comment.
Once they had all passed through, the portal vanished.
Lu Heng glanced at the remaining customers still drawing cards, then turned to Zhongli. "Anything else?"
This was practically a dismissal.
What kind of shop owner acted like this?
But Zhongli understood—newlyweds were inseparable. A day apart felt like years.
"Off to the opera!"
Zhongli left without hesitation.
Lu Heng turned as well, taking a single step before appearing in Fontaine's capital.
As soon as he entered the shop, Furina—who had been waiting with the air of a wife anticipating her husband's return—found herself wrapped in Lu Heng's embrace.
Focalors, who had been enjoying a slice of cake, rolled her eyes. "I'm leaving. I'll stay at the Palais Mermonia for a couple of days."
"Lu Heng's bed is quite spacious," Focalors teased, her voice light and playful. "There's room for three~"
Furina had to admit, the offer was tempting.
But!
Her face flushed instantly. "No way! You shameless—! I'm leaving! Lu Heng, you'd better miss me!"
With that, she hurried out.
Seeing Lu Heng's regretful expression, Focalors poked his chest. "Seems there's still a long way to go~"
"That's where you come in!"
Lu Heng's tone was grave, as if entrusting her with a monumental task.
No doubt about it—Focalors, with her growing humanity, was showing signs of becoming a mischievous tease.
But!
Lu Heng wasn't about to stop her. In fact, he fully encouraged it.
For her consideration alone, he'd support her unconditionally!
"Should we mind the shop?"
"Nope. Let's go on a date instead!"
"You'd skip work just to take me out? I'm touched~ Expect a reward tonight."
"What if I closed the shop right now and announced to the crowd that Focalors is my beloved wife?"
"No reward~ It'd ruin your handsome image and make it harder to find future little wives~"
What?!
Lu Heng was stunned.
Focalors could say something like that?
Meeting her gaze, he found nothing but amusement in her eyes—not a hint of jest.
Yikes—
This was trouble.
She had him completely figured out.
Lu Heng suddenly felt even more devoted to her.
With a wife this emotionally stable and utterly devoted to his well-being, how could he not be loyal?
Mondstadt
Albedo didn't plan to return to Mondstadt City with the others, opting instead to head back to Dragonspine.
With phones now, they could stay in touch easily.
After he left, Kaeya summoned his motorcycle.
Truthfully, he'd realized that the motorcycle was just one form his mount could take.
If he didn't feel like riding a bike, it could transform into an off-road vehicle, a horse—anything he could imagine. The only catch was that he had to manually control it.
Vroom!
He revved the engine, his entire body engulfed in flames.
"Klee, hop on!"
Klee tentatively touched the flames. Since Kaeya had no hostile intent, the fire only felt slightly chilly—harmless, unable to even burn paper.
Reassured, she climbed on behind him and patted the seat. "There's still space here~"
"We'll fly," Venti said with a laugh.
Diluc remained expressionless.
Why ride when he could teleport?
A single blink covered 100 kilometers, and though there was a cooldown, it was brief.
For travel like this, Diluc could flash from Mondstadt City to Liyue Harbor in half an hour!
"Let's go."
Before the words had fully left his mouth, Diluc was already gone.
"Off I go too."
Venti dissipated like windblown mist.
"Guess it's just the two of us, then."
Kaeya grinned. "Hold on tight, Klee! We're moving out!"
"Yay~!"
Vroom!
The Infernal Motorcycle blazed with flames as it picked up speed.
Though it was a bike, terrain meant nothing to it.
Climbing mountains and crossing valleys was effortless. If not for the equipment's tier limitations, Kaeya could've ridden it through the air.
Mondstadt City, Knights of Favonius Headquarters
Acting Grand Master's Office
"By my estimates, Kaeya and Albedo should've reached Liyue Harbor by now," Jean murmured, pulling her attention away from the documents on her desk.
She wondered how Klee was doing over there.
The half-open window let in a breeze—and suddenly, the sounds of commotion from the streets below reached her ears, along with gasps of surprise.
Was something happening?
Puzzled, Jean rose and walked to the window.
The Knights' headquarters stood on elevated ground, so even from the first floor, she had a clear view of the city below.
She quickly pinpointed the source of the noise—a broad avenue where a strange, flaming vehicle was making its way toward the headquarters.
What in the world—?
Jean's sharp eyesight allowed her to make out the driver: a skeleton wearing Kaeya's clothes!
And behind him—Klee!
The little girl was engulfed in flames, cheering happily.
"?"
Am I hallucinating from overwork?
There's no way Kaeya turned into a skeleton, and Klee wouldn't be happily on fire.
I must be exhausted.
Jean sighed.
"Jeeean~!"
Was that Klee calling her?
Jean looked again—the skeletal Kaeya and Klee were almost at the headquarters.
"!!!"
Jean bolted out the door.
Klee was on fire!
This was dangerous!
