Chapter 3 - Re-Nigga 2

5 years old*

The past years have been very peaceful, except, you know, for the occasional low-grade Cursed Spirits extermination.

He also bullied children at the playground for fun from time to time. You know how stupid children can be once they start.

Kazuki doesn't know didn't laze around and kept practicing his CE control day and night in the hope of one day reaching the level of Sukuna. That monster was able to approach the level of efficiency of a six-eyed user just through sheer practice and experience

.

Although he doubted he could achieve such levels any time soon, he was still making reasonable if not commendable progress every day.

One thing he could proudly say, though, or at least he thought, ain't no fucking bear gonna murk his ass anymore. He should be reasonably strong enough, even at this age, to throw hands with a bear!

Well, back then, he didn't have the power that he has now; he's not even afraid of bullets, but he knows that this kind of thinking can be poisonous in his interactions with normal people, so he tries to control himself to the best of his ability, to not do too much… yet.

Besides that, his family was doing wonderfully, and his parents are seemingly considering making a sibling for him, if he were to judge by how they've been going at it this past few days.

Maybe by taking care of him, they realized they also needed a child of their own blood? Kazuki didn't know. And in any case, he didn't mind; he knew not to be ungrateful, it was alright either way, after all, it's their decision.

He wondered, though, how it would feel to have a sibling? In his past life, he was an only child and never had to deal with a brother or sister. The closest thing he had was his little cousin, and even then, he assumed it might be different.

The biggest changes in the past years were within him. He felt something incubating inside him, and the more familiar he was with cursed energy, the more obvious it was. A little while ago, it completely awakened, and when it did, he was astounded. It was something like a program that autonomously controls cursed energy in a highly complex way and outputs a miraculous effect. When it first awakened, he was struck dumb; he finally awakened it. It was here. His promised cursed technique was here!

Not wasting a single breath, he probed it and noticed that he instinctively knew its basic usage conditions.

He didn't rush and took some time to think it over, its inner mechanics and application, referencing any and all anime and game abilities he knew of, he could use as reference, until finally, his mind settled on the one with the closest likeness to it.

Anime: Naruto.

Characters: Minato, Tobirama, Boruto.

[Jutsu: Flying Thunder God.]

To say that Kazuki wasn't disappointed at all would be true.

All jokes and fantasies aside. He had more chances to end up with a lame technique than not. For him to awaken a technique with similarities to one of his favorite jutsus, no powers in fiction, was a godsend. Or maybe he got just that, because he liked it so much?

There was no way to know, but he liked that explanation. Anyway, concretely, what did his cursed technique do?

Simple, it did just what the FTG did; he could place a cursed seal on things, and then instantly teleport to that thing with just a thought.

Through tests, he discovered that the seals were most likely permanent once placed, and he could place as many as he wished without restriction since the cursed energy spent was almost negligible. Less than one percent for 3 seals, plus, he could place them in advance, let his cursed energy regenerate in the meantime.

Useless to mention that he started placing cursed seals anywhere he went, and since they didn't glow or particularly stand out as they weren't that big, they could easily stay undetected.

Now, teleporting to the cursed seals took reasonably more cursed energy, but it was still easily manageable. He could manage dozens of teleportations in a short time and still feel like he didn't spend too much. Guess his reserve where just that big. He wondered if he had as much as Sukuna? Or at least as much as Yuuta? Food for thought.

Now, now, that wasn't the most exciting part. Remember when he said he could place his cursed seal on things? Well, the thing in question wasn't limited to purely tangible objects.

Ah yes, ladies and gentlemen, Kazuki was proud to announce the superiority of his technique to even the FTG itself, as…

HE COULD PLACE SEALS EVEN IN/ON AIR.

Or more like space? When he tried putting a seal on air for shit and giggles, it worked! The air or space solidified for a moment before taking on the seal.

He was shocked at first, but soon burst into laughter and happiness… his mother found it cute. And also, couldn't see the seal.

Kazuki hypothesized that those not attuned to cursed energy couldn't see it, but cursed spirits and sorcerers most probably could.

But let's digress, that is something he will have to confirm later on. He has more pressing matters to attend to for now… like the name of his technique.

He could just go the plagiarism route and name it-

[Flying Thunder God]

But he didn't particularly fancy that idea, since after all, even if alike, they were not the same.

Also, the technique was his; he didn't feel like giving it a name another person came up with, so he decided against that one.

Next, he thought about a simple a fitting one.

[Cused Seal]

But he ended up rejecting that one too, as he thought it wasn't cool enough. There is a reason the Gojo clan ancestor didn't name [Limitless] as [Space Division].

Kazuki thought that coolness was an important factor to consider. Thus, after another long moment of thinking, he now came up with one he quite liked.

Although it could be considered cringy and over the top, he was still satisfied with it.

[Cursed Technique: Destined Death]

For the name, he took inspiration from the reputation of the FTG in the Naruto world, how it was a forbidden technique... as being marked by that technique signified certain death. Mostly up to the will of the detentor of the technique, really.

No matter how far, how long, how prepared. You will one day die.

You may be branded and successfully escape back to your camp, only to be the reason you and your entire camp die the next moment.

You may escape and live well for a month or so, and suddenly, one day, while you are happily taking a shit, you get assassinated the next instant. Or maybe you were eating with your family? Your wife and child may get traumatized that day.

Kazuki knew that same reputation could be applied to this technique in this world… well, maybe, except for Satoru Gojo, of course. Getting past infinity to touch him would be too much of a hassle, really.

Anyway, he felt that the name he came up with was indeed justified.

Plus, He liked it, and that was enough of a reason.

"Sometimes I just feel like speeding up time." He couldn't help but mutter to himself, almost impatient to get to the future where all the fun would happen.
