Anne felt herself land against a solid frame. Water cascaded around her, soaking her hair and plastering it to her face.
This solid frame seemed to shield her head as she could feel the water pouring over her in every direction except the top of her head.
Slowly she raised her head and her gaze landed on a firm jawline first, with smooth fair skin that didn't have a single flaw. The water dripped down his face making his skin look like porcelain. Her vision moved up to his full lips, a high nose bridge that pulled upwards to thick brows beneath which deep dark eyes were affixed on her, that familiar gaze deeply piercing as if they wanted to see right through to her soul.
Her heart quivered, racing in a steady rhythm.
His palm was spread protectively over her head while his left hand had grabbed her, she could still feel his fingers wrapped tightly around her arm.
