Chapter 26 - Chapter 26 – A World Without Gods

Darkness.

But not ordinary darkness.

This was an existence that no longer required light.

---

The previous world had vanished.

What remained was a pulsing void, filled with a single will: Lucian.

No time. No sky. No gods.

Only him.

And he had chosen to no longer be human.

Old structures were not destroyed—they were absorbed, redefined by singular will.

Lucian stood atop something that was not ground.

He looked forward, and “forward” bent itself to his gaze.

Reality was no longer a limit, but a fabric—one he rewove with every step.

---

Footsteps echoed.

Three entities emerged: the Executors of Reality.

They once upheld balance across dimensions.

Now, they bowed… hesitant.

“What have you done, Lucian Veylor?”

Lucian did not respond.

He merely walked past them—

and their existence unraveled like sand without gravity.

---

“I will simply take everything... you refused.”

“I am Lucian Veylor.”

“And this world... has no need for gods.”

---

The sky that once stared down had become a blank canvas.

And he... began to paint with nothingness.

A Throne Without Name slowly emerged at the center of the new dimension.

He sat—silent.

But the world began to pulse to his rhythm.

But before perfection took root—

something appeared in the midst of the void.

A faint scent.

A gentle fragrance that had no place here.

Lucian turned.

He seemed to see the figure of a young woman, curly-haired, smiling…

...singing a lullaby.

His mother.

---

But he did not move.

His face remained cold.

Because he had killed the part of himself capable of missing.

---

“Don’t forget… who once loved you.”

The whisper came from something that no longer had a place in this new world.

Something called memory.

---

Lucian closed his eyes.

The black sky rumbled—not from storms,

but from certainty.

He opened them.

Eyes that no longer reflected anything human.

---

“If the world gave me no place to sit on its throne—”

“—then I will create a world that knows only me as its supreme law.”

Across the dimensions, the cosmos fell silent.

And somewhere in this newly born world...

...a little girl wept in her sleep,

unaware that the god of this reality once...

had the capacity to love.

---

“I am Lucian Veylor.”

“And from now on—I am no longer part of any system.”

“It is the system... that must adapt to me.”
