Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2: EXPLORING THE ISLAND

Raido, after claiming his starter pack from the system and checking his status panel, closed it and focused on the senses of the ravens he had summoned. From their perspective, he saw that the island was vast—the ravens had yet to explore it in its entirety. To accelerate the search, Raido summoned more ravens—this time, numbering in the thousands.

However, he couldn't help but feel a small fatigue wash over him from using his Devil Fruit in such a demanding way. Still, it was worth it. With so many ravens now in flight, they could cover more ground across the island, and the constructs would not dissipate unless they were destroyed or he dismissed them himself.

After waiting for about ten minutes, the ravens were now observing every part of the island. It was then that Raido discovered something new—his ravens could communicate with him telepathically. This unexpected feature made them perfect tools for surveillance and reconnaissance.

Raido then decided to hunt for something to eat and lifted the ichimonji on his side, something that he could use as a polearm weapon, since it was the weapon that was the most familiar with him due to his Jax template, he then started practicing first. Raido then started swinging Ichimonji, using it as a blunt weapon, based on the memories of Jax using a lamp post. He then hunted after practicing for 10 minutes, became familiar with the weapon, and then started hunting with his ravens guiding him on the trail.

It did not take long before Raido saw the giant boar that the ravens was leading onto him, the boar was so large that it was the same size as Warcury, but is not as strong, the moment the boar saw Raido, it charged towards Raido, attempting to pierce him Raido with its tusks, Raido, who saw this, did not panic and instead, wanting to check his durability due to the Sapphire skin, the tusk of the boar just hit him without hurting him, but the impact transfer did move Raido from his feet.

Satisfied with the condition of his skin, Raido used his Devil Fruit to form a sharp blade on Ichimonji, then engaged the wild boar in combat. It didn't take long before he successfully brought the beast down. Afterward, he created several ink-based clones of himself to gather wood for a campfire. He also instructed a portion of them to begin constructing a hut—something he knew how to build thanks to his part-time job as a carpenter.

The clones moved efficiently, each equipped with an axe also made with ink. About an hour later, they returned, arms full of lumber intended for his future cabin. Without delay, they began assembling the structure he would live in.

Meanwhile, Raido gathered some of the wood and built a small campfire. To ignite it, he created a miniature dragon from ink. Once fully formed, the dragon breathed fire onto the pile of wood, setting it ablaze instantly. The boar—now skinned and stripped of its hide—was placed over the fire, slowly cooking in the campfire's heat.

While the boar was cooking, Raido felt the need for real combat to continue increasing his strength. Since all of his ink-based constructs shared his physical power—and would also transfer their experiences and memories back to him, much like the Shadow Clone Technique—he decided to create a training scenario in his mind. He conjured practice dummies made of ink that would actively fight him, allowing him to sharpen his skills and refine his fighting style.

Additionally, he planned to follow Garp's infamous training regimen: punching mountains using nothing but pure physical strength—no Haki, no Devil Fruit—just raw, unassisted power.

The boar took two hours to cook before it was finally done. During those two hours, the house that Raido's clones were building steadily took shape—something Raido watched with interest. First, they installed the wooden flooring, crafted entirely from trees harvested in the forest. Raido then summoned additional clones to begin working on furniture, including the table and beds.

By the time the first floor was completed, the boar had finished cooking as well. As Raido began eating, the other clones started constructing the second floor, which would serve as his bedroom. In total, the entire house was completed in just five hours—an impressive feat that made Raido suddenly realize something.

"Why didn't I just create a construct of a house instead of building one?" Raido said to himself, laughing at his stupidity as he ate the boar he had just cooked. After tasting it, he realized it was the most delicious food he had ever eaten, even without any condiments.

"No wonder Luffy loved eating this kinds of thing," Raidon said, eating more and more of the boar, he was then informed by his raven spies, that there were a strange looking bird that was flying in their island, carrying a newspaper with a hat, Raidon then informed his raven spies to talk to the bird, it did not take long before a raven come down towards him with his the bird, it was the newsbird as Raidon suspected.

"Hey, can you let me read your newspaper? I'll give you this," Raido said to the bird, hoping to find out what point in time it was in the world of One Piece so he could plan his next moves more strategically.

The newsbird stared at him for a moment, its eyes shifting toward the boar that Raido was offering. After a brief pause, it nodded in agreement, which made Raido smile with satisfaction.

"If you can, always let me read a newspaper from now on, I'll always give you food," Raidon said, meaning while newsbird was eating the boar meat he gave, Raidon then read the newspaper on what the headlines which made his jaw drop, the headline says that.

Upon reading the newspaper, Raido realized that he was four years older than Luffy, giving him a significant head start over the future Pirate King. This revelation fueled his determination to fully master his Devil Fruit and accelerate the integration of the Jax Template to 100%, ensuring he would be ready for the inevitable war to come.

"I guess there's no time to waste. I'll start my training tomorrow and begin developing my own techniques," Raido thought, continuing to eat more of the giant boar. The newsbird, having finished the meat it was given, flew off shortly afterward.
