Chapter 5 - 5- Helping Young Girl

Suddenly, a powerful roar echoed from deeper within the forest, followed by the distinct sound of a sword skill being unleashed. Curiosity piqued, I ran towards the commotion.

Pushing through the dense foliage, I saw a young girl, clad in simple but elegant white robes, locked in a fierce battle with an enormous wolf beast. This wolf was far larger and more menacing than the others, its fur the color of midnight and its eyes glowing with an eerie green light.

I focused on the combatants:

[3 Rank Mid Level Beast - Wolf Beast King]

[Body Tempering 2 Level - Young Girl]

"What the hell are these power levels?" I whispered, bewildered by the vast difference.

I cautiously hid behind a thick bush, observing the fight. The girl moved with a surprising grace, her sword flashing with a silvery light as she executed intricate sword skills. However, the Wolf Beast King was too powerful. It easily shrugged off many of her attacks and retaliated with terrifying speed and ferocity, unleashing sharp gusts of wind with its claws.

The girl was clearly outmatched. Wounds were appearing on her arms and legs, and her movements were becoming sluggish, her spiritual energy visibly dwindling. With a desperate final move, she unleashed a powerful sword strike, but the Wolf Beast King merely roared and swatted her away with its massive paw.

The girl went flying, crashing near the entrance of a dark cave. She didn't get up.

I held my breath, watching as the Wolf Beast King stalked towards her fallen form. But then, it seemed to lose interest and turned back into the deeper part of the forest, its menacing roar fading into the distance.

Once I was sure it was gone, I cautiously approached the cave. The girl lay motionless just outside the entrance. I rushed to her side, my heart pounding in my chest. I gently checked for a pulse – faint, but present. She was alive.

Without hesitation, I carefully scooped her up in my arms. Her body was surprisingly light. I carried her into the dimly lit cave and gently laid her down on the cool stone floor.

"System," I whispered, "do you have any healing medicine or something?"

"Ding!"

Host, we have Recovery Cream.

"Then give it to me!"

System takes 50 xp points and provides Recovery Cream.

"Hey! Why did you cut my points?" I protested.

"Ding!"

Host, nothing is free here.

"You..." I grumbled under my breath, but quickly grabbed the tube of cream.

I carefully applied the cream to her visible wounds, but then I noticed a deep gash on her chest, just below her collarbone. A faint blush crept onto my cheeks as I hesitantly applied the cream to the sensitive area, my fingers brushing against her smooth skin.

Two days passed. During this time, I ventured out of the cave to hunt, focusing on the lower and mid-level wolf beasts. My cultivation progressed rapidly, fueled by the constant battles. I breakthrough into Foundation Establishment 5 level.

"Ding!"
