Kabuto Yakushi had been taken as Tsunade's disciple, but his treatment was far worse than Sasame's.

He still lived at the orphanage, with no plans to move. And most of his medical ninjutsu training was handled by Shizune.

As for Tsunade? She'd reverted to her old ways—gambling away her life savings.

This made Sasame increasingly desperate to reopen the Gunma Group's operations.

At this rate, we'll be homeless.

Morning.

Sasame sent a Wood Clone to class while his real body headed to the Gunma Casino.

He'd left Uzumaki Megumi and baby Karin waiting for two days. It was time to meet them.

The casino was under renovation.

Sasame's vision? A six-story colossus, each floor offering higher stakes and better service.

In Tanzaku Quarter—where most buildings were two or three stories—this would be a landmark advertisement.

After half a month of construction, the first three floors were complete.

Disguised, Sasame entered the third floor and knocked on a door.

Megumi opened it, flinching instinctively at the sight of him.

"M-my lord."

Her voice trembled.

After witnessing Kakuzu and Sasori's brutality—plus the uncertainty of her future—fear was natural.

"How have you been? Anyone bothering you?"

Sasame studied her delicate, vulnerable expression and smirked internally.

Too easy to bully—or protect.

"N-no."

She shook her head. "Everyone's been… respectful."

Sasame locked the door behind him.

Megumi's breath hitched.

Is he going to…?

She bit her lip. For Karin's sake, she'd endure.

But then—

Poof.

Sasame dispelled his disguise, revealing his true form: a devastatingly cute seven-year-old.

Megumi blinked, her fear melting into confusion.

How could anyone be scared of this face?

"Let's reintroduce ourselves. I'm Sasame. Age seven."

He had no issue showing her his real identity.

Why?

She was powerless without her Uzumaki physique.

Karin was her Achilles' heel.

Even if she leaked his identity? Who cared?

The Gunma Group ran on Tsunade's reputation. Even if Hiruzen found out, he'd just chuckle at Sasame's entrepreneurial spirit.

Megumi covered her mouth, stifling a gasp.

A child. Just a child.

Somehow, that made everything… less terrifying.

And at seven? There were limits to what he could do to her.

Sasame noted her shifting expression with amusement.

The "pitiable beauty" aura weakens without fear.

He grabbed paper and pen, scribbling a contract.

"Sign this."

Megumi read it—and paled.

The document stated Sasame had spent 2 million ryō rescuing them. This debt now fell on her.

Two. Million. Ryō.

An impossible sum.

"M-my lord… is this real?"

Her voice quivered, eyes glistening with unshed tears.

Sasame's grin widened.

Perfect.

There was a scientific theory in his past life:

"Cute aggression."

The urge to pinch, squeeze, or destroy adorable things—a brain mechanism to balance overwhelming positive emotions.

After being pushed around by Tsunade, Megumi's vulnerability triggered his dark side.

Finally—someone to torment.

The rush was intoxicating.

Seeing his nod, Megumi's vision darkened.

How could she ever repay this?

"I hate looking up at people."

Sasame beckoned.

She immediately knelt, putting him a head taller than her.

"P-please, my lord… I don't have that kind of money…"

Her plea was heartbreaking.

If this were Tsunade, he'd be staring at a valley of temptation.

But Megumi?

Modest yet generous.

Her curves more than compensated.

Sasame rested his chin on her shoulder, lips brushing her ear.

She shivered, then spotted the contract's fine print:

"If unable to repay, debtor may work for creditor."

Megumi exhaled in relief.

"M-my lord, I'm useful! If you're injured, my bite can heal you!"

She offered her scarred arm—proof of her value.

A living first-aid kit.

Sasame traced the teeth marks, his amusement fading.

Pathetic. Tragic.

He suddenly felt grateful for Konoha. At least his life there was stable.

Other villages? He might've ended up like her.

Gently, he stroked her wounds.

Uzumaki resilience meant these should've healed already. The lingering marks implied her chakra was depleted beyond recovery.

Megumi flushed at his touch.

A child's hands… yet so tender.

No one had ever treated her this way.

Sasame tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, then twirled another around his finger.

"What a waste that'd be."

He planned to teach her fuinjutsu.

And Karin, when she grew up.

The Uzumaki's sealing arts were legendary—some of the few techniques capable of suppressing tailed beasts.

(Unless you had Wood Release or Sharingan, but those were exceptions.)

As for medical ninjutsu? Between Tsunade, Shizune, and Kabuto, adding Megumi was redundant.

But two master sealers? Priceless.

The only hurdle?

Uzumaki sealing techniques were Konoha's top secrets.

But Sasame had a solution: Orochimaru.

As a Sannin, he had access to the Forbidden Scroll.

(Tsunade could've helped too—but explaining his motives would've been a headache.)

Megumi tilted her head.

What use could she have, then?

Sasame pinched her cheek, then traced her lower lip.

Warm. Damp.

"For now, focus on recovering."

Crimson spread to Megumi's ears as she nodded.

Strangely, she didn't resent his actions.

Maybe it was the debt of gratitude—or maybe his face was just too damn cute.

She dismissed it as child's play.

Bold play… but not the worst.

To Sasame, this felt like owning a life-sized doll.

Now he understood the Chancellor's obsession.

Especially with her daughter right there.
