Itachi Uchiha pushed open the door to his home.

Given the chaos outside, someone inside should have reacted by now.

But no one did.

Taking a deep breath, Itachi stepped inside—only to find Fugaku Uchiha sitting in desolate silence.

"Why, Itachi?"

"For Konoha."

Itachi's voice was eerily calm. "Rebellion, whether it succeeds or fails, will only drag the village into ruin."

Fugaku's gaze was complex.

Since Itachi's birth, he had been his pride—too brilliant, too exceptional. Yet as a father, Fugaku had never truly tried to understand him.

And so, his son had drifted further from the clan.

"Is this the future you want?"

Fugaku looked up. The three tomoe in his eyes swirled, merging into the Mangekyō Sharingan.

Itachi stiffened. Visions of events that had never happened flashed before him.

Clenching his fist inside his sleeve, he whispered, "I only trust myself."

Blood trickled from Fugaku's eyes.

His dōjutsu revealed the most probable future—at a heavy cost. He rarely used it.

Wiping the blood away, Fugaku sighed. "I'm sorry, Itachi. This is my fault."

Then he closed his eyes, surrendering.

He had already seen his fate: inevitable death.

If so, he would trust Itachi one last time.

In the next room.

Sasame clamped a hand over Mikoto Uchiha's mouth, the other gripping her wrist to immobilize her.

As she watched Itachi raise his blade—then bring it down—her pupils shook. She thrashed, tears and saliva streaming, but it was useless.

Sasame observed coldly.

Mikoto was average—just a ordinary chūnin. She needed a push to evolve.

The moment Fugaku collapsed, bloodied, three tomoe spun to life in Mikoto's eyes.

A surge of chakra erupted.

"Who's there?"

Itachi turned, his voice strained. "Mother...?"

Mikoto trembled with grief and rage.

Leaning close, Sasame hissed, "You can't beat him now. Save the others first."

A flash of Flying Thunder God, and she vanished—reappearing in the clan compound's northeast sector.

The door creaked open again.

But it wasn't Mikoto.

It was Shisui Uchiha.

Itachi froze, his composure cracking for the first time.

"I never thought you'd go this far," Shisui said, his three tomoe quivering before merging into the Mangekyō.

"You're not Shisui."

Itachi raised his blade. "Awakening the Mangekyō just now? Impossible."

Shisui had been missing for three years. His sudden reappearance tonight was too convenient.

And deep down, Itachi clung to denial—even if this were Shisui, it was too late.

Tonight, former friends crossed blades.

Elsewhere, Sasame faced Orochimaru and Danzō.

"Sorry," he said, "this road's closed."

(He'd altered his appearance—no risks to the plan. Danzō had to smear Hiruzen's name later.)

"Who are you?!" Orochimaru's instincts screamed danger.

This scenario was too familiar—just like the night Shisui vanished. Was this man tied to that organization?

"Move!" Danzō, unlike Orochimaru, acted.

He needed those Sharingan. Now.

Hands flew through seals:

Wood Release: Advent of a World of Flowering Trees!

His right arm bulged, exploding into a monstrous tree that lashed toward Sasame.

Orochimaru held back—until he sensed it.

Senjutsu chakra.

Sage Art: Water Release: Exploding Water Wave!

A tsunami erupted, obliterating the forest. Danzō barely escaped with Wind Release propulsion.

"What kind of water jutsu is this?!"

Orochimaru's eyes narrowed. No more games.

Eight Branches Technique!

The serpent deity's colossal form emerged—but Sasame was done playing.

(Memories of grinding mobile games flashed—unleash the rage.)

Sage Art: Water Release: Great Exploding Water Wave!

An ocean materialized, then ascended, forming a massive elliptical prison.

Crushing pressure.

Orochimaru's scales split. Blood seeped as he reverted to human form.

Danzō fared worse—his body was the tree now, battered by relentless currents.

A voice echoed.

"Itachi!"

Sasame turned just as Obito Uchiha warped in, grabbed Itachi, and vanished.

Predictable.

Ignoring the two drowning rats, Sasame harvested Fugaku's eyes.

"Shisui, we're leaving."

A touch—Flying Thunder God—and they reappeared amidst the rescued Uchiha women and children.

One glance. A temporary Sage Body activated.

With monstrous chakra, Sasame teleported them all away.

Only carnage remained.

When the water prison collapsed,

Danzō and Orochimaru emerged—to find corpses robbed of their Sharingan.

Their hands shook.

All that work... for nothing.
