Early in the morning, a light rain was falling outside the Hidden Mist Village.

Terumi Mei lay in her bed. The blankets had been changed, and she could faintly smell a clean scent. After waking up in the middle of the night to eat, she quickly fell back asleep. Even on this new morning, she still felt weak all over. If she wasn't worried about anyone finding out, she would have called a medical ninja to check on her. At this thought, Terumi Mei's face turned red. Sasame perfectly embodied the phrase, "looks thin in clothes, but is muscular without." She never expected that she would be so utterly defeated by him.

Just then, there was a sound outside the window. Terumi Mei's expression immediately tensed. She looked over cautiously, then relaxed again.

"Good morning, Lady Mizukage." Sasame pushed the window open and landed lightly. In his hand, he held a bento box.

"Couldn't you just use the door?" Terumi Mei said with a pout.

"Of course I could." Sasame smiled and said, "In the future, you'll learn what kind of door I'll be using."

Terumi Mei was confused for a few seconds before giving up on trying to understand. She looked at the bento box and said, "Could you please go outside? I need to change."

"I'll keep watch for you," Sasame said, placing the bento box on the nightstand. He crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. "To make sure no one peeks."

Terumi Mei was so exasperated she almost laughed. She grabbed a pillow and threw it at him. "Who else would be peeking besides you?" she said, glaring at him. But her brow furrowed in pain as the movement strained her body.

"I'm not peeking," Sasame said, catching the pillow. "I'm looking in broad daylight. That's a completely different matter."

"..." Terumi Mei once again witnessed his shamelessness. She hesitated for a moment and then reached for her clothes. Sasame's expression instantly fell. So she wasn't wearing nothing at all. What a shame. He was missing out on a beautiful sight. But it wasn't a total loss. Terumi Mei's shy expression was worth savoring.

"I made you breakfast," Sasame said, pointing to the bento box. "Would you like me to feed you?"

"I'm not a child." Terumi Mei said, as the blush on her face faded after she had gotten dressed. She took the bento box and went into the living room.

"Wait for me for a bit." Terumi Mei put the bento box down and went to the bathroom to wash up. Sasame considered following her to help, but she seemed to have anticipated his move and shot him a fierce look. To avoid making her chest hurt from getting angry, Sasame decided to behave. Besides, he had been a bit too much last night, and he owed her a proper apology.

A moment later, Terumi Mei returned. She opened the bento box and saw that it contained a bowl of porridge. Terumi Mei took a sip, and her eyes lit up. She had to admit, Sasame was a vexing person, but his cooking was unexpectedly good—so good it didn't seem like the work of a traditional man from this world. In that regard, he would make a great husband.

Sasame went behind her and began to massage her shoulders. Terumi Mei let out a soft sigh and asked, "Isn't it a little late to start being attentive now?"

"What do you mean 'now'?" Sasame whispered close to her ear. "Was I not attentive enough last night?"

Terumi Mei felt his warm breath on her neck and heard his teasing words. A blush crept across her face, spreading from her cheeks to her ears.

"Go away!" Terumi Mei said, her embarrassment turning into anger.

"Okay, okay. Just eat your breakfast," Sasame said, gently stroking her hair.

Terumi Mei glanced at him, her attitude softening slightly. She didn't say anything else and just focused on drinking her porridge. After about ten minutes, she exhaled, feeling warmth spread through her body and much of her strength returning.

"Thank you, Lord Hokage," Terumi Mei said, looking at Sasame, who was waiting quietly by her side. She couldn't help but smile, as it was a rare sight to see him so well-behaved.

"You're welcome," Sasame said with a smile. "So, Lady Mizukage, do you still have to go to work?"

"Of course," Terumi Mei said, stretching. "I'm not as idle as you are."

"Of course you'd be busy if you insist on doing everything yourself." Sasame pulled out a scroll. "Here, this is for you to look at."

"What is this?" Terumi Mei asked, confused.

"It's the Hidden Leaf Village's operational model," Sasame said casually. "You can try delegating tasks to your subordinates."

The departmental structure of the Hidden Mist Village was quite similar to the old Hidden Leaf Village. In fact, many ninja villages used the same model, which had originated in the Hidden Leaf Village. The Anbu, for example, were first created by the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju. Since it worked well, other villages imitated it. The same process applied to ninja academies and other institutions.

But no one had copied the new model Sasame had implemented in the Hidden Leaf Village. The reason was simple: it would affect the interests of the major ninja clans and ninjas. No one was willing to go through such a radical restructuring. It required someone with Sasame's reputation and strength. However, the Hidden Mist Village could give it a try. As things stood, Terumi Mei's reputation and strength were unparalleled, and both jinchuriki listened to her. If she wanted to implement something, she wouldn't face too much resistance.

"Will this really work?" Terumi Mei opened the scroll and scanned its contents. The ideas were quite novel, making her a bit skeptical. She kept up with the Hidden Leaf Village, but she didn't waste her time observing their personnel changes. And looking at things from the outside was different from seeing them from the inside. From her perspective, it was strange for Sasame to hand over this information.

"Of course it will." Sasame patted his chest in assurance. "It will at least reduce your workload by half."

Terumi Mei studied his expression and saw no hint of a lie. "I'll give it a try," she said, nodding. Then she asked out of nowhere, "Since you're so idle, why haven't I seen you much before?"

Sasame froze. Oh no, she's figured it out. He scratched his head and said, "I'm not that idle. I still have to manage the Sunny Coast Trading Company and other things."

Terumi Mei just stared at him, saying nothing. Sasame held her gaze with a grim determination. A moment later, Terumi Mei looked away and continued to read the scroll. She had to admit that the contents were not only innovative but also quite logical. It wasn't just a broad overview but contained concrete examples. As she read more, Terumi Mei felt a growing urge to try it. Unburdening herself was secondary. The important thing was that this Hidden Leaf Village method could cultivate a lot of talent. And the Hidden Mist Village was in desperate need of talent—any talent at all.

Terumi Mei rolled up the scroll and said, "Thank you."

Sasame shook his head. "We're a family; no need to thank me."

"Who said we're a family?" Terumi Mei said, her eyes wide. "Don't talk nonsense."

Sasame couldn't help but laugh at her expression. "You'll know if we're a family tonight."

"…" Terumi Mei's face froze. She said, her voice laced with panic, "Not tonight!" If this happened too many times, she felt it would seriously disrupt the operations of the Hidden Mist Village since she wouldn't be able to go to work.

Seeing this, Sasame didn't push it. "I'll listen to you, then."

Terumi Mei sighed in relief. "I have to go to the Mizukage building."

"I'll take you," Sasame said, walking in front of her.

"Wait," Terumi Mei said, seeing that he was about to use his Flying Raijin Jutsu. Seeing his puzzled look, she explained, "I'm not wearing my shoes."

"Oh." Sasame's face lit up with understanding. He grabbed her shoes and knelt in front of her. Terumi Mei was stunned for a moment, then she slowly lifted her foot. Sasame gently held her ankle and helped her put on her shoes. Terumi Mei watched him, a slow smile forming on her face. The slight resentment she had felt earlier vanished completely.

"All done," Sasame said, standing up, only to be embraced by Terumi Mei. He was surprised to have her in his arms, but the change in her attitude was a good sign. He used the Flying Raijin Jutsu, and they appeared in the Mizukage's office.

Sasame placed her in her chair, leaned down, and kissed her on the corner of her mouth. "Until next time."

Terumi Mei nodded and said softly, "See you later." She didn't ask Sasame to stay with her like an ordinary girl would. This was her pride as the Mizukage. Besides, the Hidden Mist Village couldn't afford to let her indulge in romance too much right now. She thought this arrangement worked out well.

Terumi Mei watched Sasame disappear, and the smile on her lips slowly faded. She took out the scroll, ready to begin considering how to implement its ideas.

Meanwhile, Sasame had returned to the Hokage building. On his desk were encrypted files concerning Mikoto Uchiha's current situation. She was doing well. There was also a file on the progress of the Land of Fire's capital city construction. Thanks to the ninjas, the work was moving quickly. It would likely be completed in less than six months. That would also be around the time Mikoto Uchiha was due to give birth.

Sasame also checked on his students. Naruto Uzumaki had been training with Jiraiya for a while, but it had now stopped, as there wasn't much more for him to learn. Jiraiya had wanted to take him on a journey to have fun and teach him some life philosophy, but Kushina Uzumaki had firmly refused. As a result, Naruto didn't go and instead threw himself into missions. Since Sasuke Uchiha was in Kakashi Hatake's team, Sasame had sent Naruto on missions with Shizune. In any case, he was highly motivated. As for Hinata Hyuga, she was still training at home. She needed to be absolutely strong to do what she intended to do.

Sasame planned to find time to go to the moon to help Hinata get the Tenseigan. Once she had it, she could properly reform the Hyuga Clan. But he decided to wait a bit longer. Hinata needed to learn more theoretical knowledge for now. Sasame had given her a lot of books from his previous life. He believed they would help her understand the dynamics between the Hyuga Main House and Branch House.

After two weeks passed without incident, Sasame received a message from the Akatsuki. They wanted him to keep an eye on the revival of the Two-Tails, Matatabi. Because of his actions, everyone else now believed that Yugito Nii, along with the tailed beast inside her, had been killed by the. A tailed beast's revival location was random. The Two-Tails wouldn't take long to revive, probably a similar amount of time to the Three-Tails. The Akatsuki's orders were normal under the circumstances. However, it also meant that Nagato was preparing to implement his Eye of the Moon plan.

Come to think of it, this had something to do with Sasame. His loans had allowed the Akatsuki to raise the necessary funds earlier than in the original story. In other words, the plan could begin at any time. Luckily, Sasame had already infiltrated the organization. But to be safe, he still warned Kakashi Hatake to be careful and to notify him immediately if he encountered a powerful enemy.

In the Hyuga Clan compound, Hiashi Hyuga was sparring with Hinata Hyuga. The more they fought, the more surprised he became. Hinata's strength was already far beyond his expectations. Even without using the bow and arrow Sasame had given her, she was putting pressure on him.

On one hand, Hinata was extremely diligent. On the other hand, her talent had been significantly developed by Sasame. And she also had Kaguya Ōtsutsuki as a teacher.

Hiashi stopped and said, "That's enough." To continue fighting would no longer be a friendly spar. There was no need, since they were father and daughter.

"Yes, Father," Hinata said, letting out a breath. She hadn't used her Gentle Fist; she had used her Eight Trigrams Empty Palm. She felt quite satisfied with her ability to fight Hiashi to this extent. Most importantly, she felt like she was living up to her promise to big brother Sasame. He not only brought her food every night but also helped her train with his Mangekyo Sharingan. It would have been shameful for her not to show him results. Hiashi didn't know what Sasame had done and thought it was just Hinata's natural talent.

He smiled for once and said, "You will surely become the strongest Hyuga clan leader ever."

"I'll do my best," Hinata said, nodding firmly.

"Good," Hiashi said, glancing at the sky. "The Ninja Academy should be letting out soon."

"I'll go pick up Hanabi," Hinata said, immediately running back to her room to change before heading to the Ninja Academy. She was twelve years old now and didn't need a guard to follow her, nor would she get lost. Besides, in the Hidden Leaf Village, who didn't know she was the Hokage's student? Normally, there was no danger to her.

At the Ninja Academy, Sasame nodded as he looked at the newly built classrooms. They felt a bit like the ones from his past life. They were even equipped with computers. This was thanks to the talents Kurenai had recruited from various countries. They had managed to slightly improve the existing computers in this world during the past few weeks. Although the cost was still high, Sasame wasn't short on money, so he had computers installed in every department of the Hidden Leaf Village. He had to admit, computers really did improve efficiency.

"Isn't this too wasteful?" Shizune asked from beside him. This classroom was for medical-nin students.

"No, it isn't," Sasame said, shaking his head. "In this era, the importance of a medical-nin far exceeds that of other shinobi. We cannot be careless."

In the original series, the understanding of medical ninjas was extremely limited. If the Hidden Leaf Village hadn't had Tsunade, they wouldn't have developed a comprehensive medical system. Of course, there were many reasons for this. But Sasame would definitely not underestimate them.

"Shizune-nee, just submit a list of the medical equipment you need to the Secretary's Office. They'll buy everything for you," Sasame said casually. "Don't be shy; we have plenty of money."

Shizune nodded.

"I'll leave this to you. I'm going to check on my little sister." Sasame was talking about Hanabi Hyuga, his adopted sister. It should be time for school to let out. Hanabi was seven years old this year and in the second grade of the Ninja Academy. Just like in the original story, she showed great talent at a young age.

Sasame quickly arrived at Classroom 2-A. The class hadn't been dismissed yet. He decided to wait a bit longer.
