"What do you mean he filed for full custody?" Sophia's voice trembled, caught between shock and rage.
Her father didn't flinch. "Sebastian claims he's the legal guardian. He says the boy is his son. And... he has documents."
Adrian stepped forward, eyes blazing. "That's impossible. I'm Ethan's father."
Her father threw the file on the table. "This says otherwise. There's a birth certificate naming Sebastian as Ethan's father. There are photographs, fake hospital records... everything."
Sophia snatched the file and flipped through the pages. Her hands shook. "This is all forged! These signatures... these dates... I never—"
"He has connections," her father said coldly. "The law may listen to him. He says you're too busy to raise a child. That you need a husband to protect your company and your son."
Adrian's jaw tightened. "He's blackmailing her into marriage."
Sophia looked at Adrian, panic in her eyes. "He wants to own me. He thinks if he gets Ethan, I'll come crawling to him."
"You won't," Adrian said firmly. "You're not alone now."
Sophia looked down at the papers, heart pounding. She had always been strong, always relied on logic, rules, and control. But this—this was war.
"I'll fight this," she said quietly, then louder, stronger. "He may have faked papers. But I have truth. I have you."
