You would think being stuck mid fall floating above what I can only assume is a lake with other people while nobody can move would be….. Less mid fall feeling, but it seems that us freezing also included freezing that stomach flipping feeling of falling in place as well. Though the feeling was a bit suppressed by the boredom of just waiting, I couldn't move my eyes or anything, so I was stuck staring at the same 3 people also mid fall, their faces contorted into looks of surprise, probably like mine was, not that I could look down and check.
Across from me also mid fall was a dwarven man in a fur coat with a heavy black beard and wild unkept hair growing down his head, a woman wearing polished silver and gold colored armor, and what I assume is a bears ass that I have been forced to stare at all of the last hour and a half. I was even tempted to begin counting the hairs before everything shifted and we could suddenly move before we all felt the rush of cold water. We all came sputtering to the surface as we dragged ourselves out.
"Almost 2 hours of waiting for it, and that fall STILL surprised me!"
The dwarven man said, sounding almost disappointed in himself. I found myself staring at the nearby path where I saw Aiden and Liora jogging over towards me. They didn't seem rushed, but they did have a somewhat concerned look on their faces.
"Hey Jax, we just- Are you ok dude, you seem kind of out of it."
I just laid on my back staring up at the blackness that seemed to be a dome covering the entirety of the property as I weakly said.
"I had to start counting hairs, there was almost nothing else to see."
The bear fullblood whipped around, a look of indignation on his face.
"Hey man, what kind of perverted pastime is that!?"
"PERVERT, I didn't pick where I was looking, and I was stuck looking at it for an hour and a half you dickhead!"
We were both glaring at each other down and while there was a size difference, my pride refused to let me back away.
"You wanna go furball?"
"Bring it Trout breath!"
Aiden and Liora seemed to shrug as they turned to the other two. They shrugged saying they didn't know what to do about the situation. The dwarven man turned to the both of us facing off.
"Hey Grizzle, and… uh."
He turned to look at Aiden who mouthed my name.
"And Pax, just make sure ya don't kill each other, you will get yer team disqualified."
I had expected more, but the group of the girl in silver and gold armor, the dwarven man, Aiden and Liora all turned and headed down the small path as Aiden seemed to be explaining the game and how everything worked.
I looked back to Grizzle, however what greeted me was the sudden mass of a clawed paw flying at my face. I braced myself, as the claws scraped against my Ki as I was sent flying to the side where I skidded to a stop, however as I whipped my head, Grizzle was already at my side, his paw slamming down like a hammer. I lunged to the side as the ground dented from the force.

I thought as I staggered, wobbling slightly trying to keep my balance. I snarled and lunged towards Grizzle, Ki building as well as an ample amount of frustration. Grizzle raised up and swung both paws down towards me as I focused my Ki in my head as I jumped, slamming my head into his jaw, the force rocking Grizzle causing his head to snap back as his feet lifted off the ground and his back slammed into a building's nearby wall that he partially went through. He started to pull himself out, a snarl building in his throat, but I wasn't done.
I landed, rushing forward as I channeled Ki to my paw, slamming it with a bellowing snarl into his chest. Grizzles own growl died on his throat as the wind was knocked out of him and he was sent through the wall where he crashed through a carriage that would have been used to haul straw and pulled by a horse before coming to a stop against the far wall.

Your obsession stirs
I walked through the still crumbling wall, my body aglow with the now pink and black tainted aura from the obsession energy.
"Is that all you got?"
I asked looking to where a bit to my surprise Grizzle was struggling to stand, his jaw hanging like something was dislocated as even from here I could see the massive bruise forming on his stomach past the fur as he seemed to be struggling to breath.
He was ready for a fight despite you doing nothing wrong
He is a bully that must be taught where his place is
Show you are worthy of Beatrice
Offer her his head for his transgressions
He has challenged you
He seeks Beatrice
Take his eyes so he can never dare to try again.
The words pulsed through my head as I stared down at Grizzle, my breathing speeding up as my paw slowly moved towards his head. My paw touched the top and began to press down as Grizzle seemed to groan and his eyes took on a panicked gleam. An unconscious manic smile was slowly forming on my face as my breath was racing.
I could do it, I could destroy this rival,
Beatrice would be so happy, she would love this,
She would be mine, all mine, ONLY MINE.
"Did you have to destroy the building man, don't tell me you killed him."
My thoughts snapped away as I jerked my paw away, horror spreading across my face as I realized what I had been about to do as I turned to Aiden who was looking around the wrecked room from the large doorway opening as he made his way over to grizzle who was still on the ground. He crouched down next to him as he said.
"Hey man, can you give us a signal that you're surrendering here, or are you planning a dramatic comeback?"
Grizzle took a moment before he held up both his front paws in a surrender as Aiden turned to head for the main building. We walked in silence for a moment before Aiden asked.
"Do you want to explain what that was now, or save it for after the round is over?"
I looked up at Aiden who had stopped, his hands in his pockets as he was looking at me with a raised eyebrow behind his somewhat smudged glasses. I took a moment trying to see if there was a way I didn't have to explain, but I sighed and said.
"Lets save it for after the match."
Aiden nodded as he said.
"Then lets see about getting you a towel to dry off."
I saw a moment to lighten the mood as I gave a cheeky grin and said.
"Now who needs a towel, I feel like I could just shake right now and get it all off."
Aiden broke into a sprint away from me as I rushed after him.
"You stay back you soggy mutt!"
Aiden bellowed as I chased after him laughing
"Come on now, a little water never killed nobody!"
