Mi-Ho stood outside Hana's door, fists clenched. He hadn't slept. His mind replayed her tear-streaked face.
He knocked once.
No answer.
Again.
Finally, the door creaked open. She stood there—eyes cold, posture guarded.
"We need to talk," he said.
"I already said enough at the gala."
"I'm not here to apologize," Mi-Ho replied. "I'm here to fight for you."
Hana scoffed. "Then fight the man who bought me. His name is Jin Tae-Wook."
Silence.
"I intend to," Mi-Ho said. "But I need you to trust me first."
