Chapter 108 - Loki and Thor Brothers' Battle

"We really don't have much information about Asgard," Black Widow said after a moment of silence, nodding. It felt like trying to cook without any ingredients.

No matter how strong your analytical skills were or how clever you were, if there were too few clues to analyze, there was nothing anyone could do.

"If you look at it that way, we can't analyze options C and D either, not just B," Captain America said, looking up at the options on the big screen.

Actually, option A was also impossible to analyze, but it seemed more reliable than the other options.

After all, Thor knew what the Rainbow Bridge was like. The possibility of the Rainbow Bridge being "renovated" in the future and its sturdiness changing wasn't very high.

The strength of Thor and Loki, the two brothers, was also there. The possibility of their strength changing so drastically that the aftershocks of their battle could destroy the Rainbow Bridge was also not very high.

Of course, it wasn't impossible.

But compared to the other options, Option A definitely had fewer unpredictable factors.

As a judgment, it was "reliable" enough.

"Hela invades Asgard?"

"The Dark Elves use the Aether to corrupt Asgard?"

"If these two things really happened, they would be complex and specific events. Without knowing anything, we wouldn't be able to make any judgments or analyses."

"If Thor were to face a situation where he had no other choice during those invasions, and ultimately had to destroy the Rainbow Bridge, I can only say, it's possible!"

Nick Fury shrugged, speaking to everyone.

"This question is really difficult," Coulson sighed, unable to help himself.

It seemed that besides option A, the other three options couldn't be ruled out at all.

This question was also different from most of the others. The options weren't specific individuals this time, but rather, actual events.

And events had infinite possibilities.

"Let's go over any possible clues again, everyone think," Tony Stark suggested. "The system won't give us unsolvable questions. The clues we have must be useful in some way."

Following Tony Stark's suggestion, everyone racked their brains, starting to recall events.

"When Loki invaded New York, the Rainbow Bridge was already broken!" Black Widow said to everyone first.

Back then, Loki had been captured by Iron Man, Captain America, and the others. Thor came to Earth to "rescue" him, and Loki had said to Thor, "After the Rainbow Bridge broke, Odin had to expend a lot of dark energy to transport me to Earth," and so on.

Since not everyone knew about this, Black Widow described some of the relevant information from the video to everyone present.

"From this, we can conclude that it's not easy to get to Earth if the Rainbow Bridge is broken, right, Thor?"

Captain America quickly extracted the useful information and asked Thor.

"That's right. The Rainbow Bridge is what Asgard uses to travel between star systems. If the Rainbow Bridge is broken, only my father probably has the ability to travel to other planets."

Thor nodded seriously. "Neither Loki nor I can."

"So, Loki came to Earth before the Rainbow Bridge was broken?" Thor's confirmation made everyone's eyes light up.

If that was the case, then this matter had nothing to do with Loki, and they could eliminate options A and B immediately. Even if C and D knew nothing, there was still a fifty percent chance just by guessing.

"Hold on, everyone, hold on," Tony Stark said more calmly. "The answer hasn't been analyzed yet. Let's see if there are any other clues."

But the question system didn't reveal much information about Thor and Loki. After thinking about it, they only had Loki coming to Earth to steal the Tesseract, and then Thor taking it back.

Everyone decided to sort through both matters simultaneously.

When the topic turned to Thor and Odin believing Loki was dead, Thor immediately sensed something was amiss.

"Father and I thought Loki was dead? And we mourned him? That doesn't make sense!" Thor shook his head repeatedly, even furrowing his brow.

"Why, Thor?" Nick Fury asked, his single eye fixed on Thor.

"Loki said he was exiled. If that were true, Father and I wouldn't have ignored him. We would have had Heimdall monitor Loki every step of the way!"

"So, what exactly happened to Loki? Father and I would definitely know. How could this situation have arisen?"

At this point, everyone perked up again.

Because when something didn't make logical sense, or felt off, it often held a key.

Once the key points were sorted out, it might be possible to analyze some crucial information.

"Heimdall, the mythical guardian of the Rainbow Bridge, the one with the all-seeing eyes? Does he really exist?" Black Widow asked, looking at Thor.

"Yes, except for certain places in the Cosmic Abyss, Heimdall can see everything in the world!" Thor nodded.

"The Cosmic Abyss, what is that place?" Coulson asked.

"It's a primordial and chaotic cosmic void between the major star regions. There are no rules there, only endless darkness."

"Wait a minute!" Tony Stark keenly caught something. "Is it possible that before Loki came to Earth, he went to a dangerous place like the Cosmic Abyss, which is why Heimdall couldn't see him and you all thought Loki was dead?"

"That sounds plausible!" Captain America nodded in agreement.

"That's impossible!" Thor shook his head. "No one would go to that place on purpose; it's just asking for death!"

"What if it was passive?" Tony Stark's eyes gleamed. "Even though options A and B are different, they both describe the same scenario: you fought Loki."

"Is it possible that during the fight, Loki accidentally got knocked into the Cosmic Abyss?"

At Tony Stark's words, Thor's eyes lit up as well: "Beneath the Rainbow Bridge lies the vast, endless Cosmic Abyss!"

Everyone present couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement because this analysis aligned with many existing clues and intelligence.

The "reliability" was quite high.

At least, it was much more reliable than the previous analysis.

"So, the truth is, Loki and Thor fought on the Rainbow Bridge, the bridge broke during the fight, and Loki fell into the Cosmic Abyss," Nick Fury summarized, shrugging his shoulders.
