Whoosh!
As the new question appeared, everyone present couldn't help but glance at Loki, feeling a strange sensation.
Hadn't Loki's death already been clearly shown in the image?
Why would a related question appear?
Could it be?
That time he was impaled by the Cursed Warrior, Loki hadn't actually died?
But so far, there were no clues to indicate this.
"My death? In the future, will I still be killed?"
Loki's expression couldn't help but darken slightly, but then a mischievous smile curled at the corner of his mouth. "That's a truly interesting question."
To be honest, given Loki's personality, he wasn't even sure if he had actually died that time with the Cursed Warrior.
Because pretending to be dead was, for Loki, the God of Mischief and Trickery, just one of his many basic tricks.
But now, this question could be presented to Loki without a doubt: his real death!
Loki really wanted to know how he would die in the future.
"Everyone, I just answered, so this question is now yours," Loki said, shrugging to the others present and gesturing for them to take over.
There was no need to worry about sharing information now. According to the order of answering questions, it wasn't Loki's turn to answer anyway.
Instead, others would help him answer!
"Killed by the Cursed Warriors in the Dark World? This should be the battle the system just showed us, right?"
Captain America immediately spoke up, getting into the swing of things. He said to everyone, "The images have clearly shown us that Loki was dead at the time, but!"
At this point, Captain America made a turn.
"What the system showed us was only a fragment, not the whole complete event. All we can get is the information conveyed by that fragment, nothing more."
"This could introduce a bias."
"For example, in a previous quiz I experienced, we all agreed that Nick Fury had been assassinated. But in reality, Nick Fury didn't die in that assassination; he died in the 'Snap'."
"So, the same could be true of Loki. Thor might have thought Loki was dead, but in reality, he wasn't."
"Soldier, you've hit the nail on the head," Loki agreed, nodding thoughtfully. "But you can't be certain, can you?"
Although there was a chance Loki survived the Dark Elf's stab in the Dark World, it was equally possible he died.
In fact, death was probably more likely.
After all, Thor wasn't an idiot. The chance of him misinterpreting a death was small.
"We haven't officially started the analysis, so hold your horses," Tony Stark interrupted Loki.
After some thought, he gave his assessment, "Although I wish you had died back then, unfortunately, it seems you most likely didn't."
"Is that so? I'm sorry to disappoint you, Tin Man." Loki shrugged at Tony Stark.
"It's alright, I'm not disappointed."
Tony Stark spread his hands in a serious manner, "Although you didn't die that time, you did die later. What we need to do next is figure out which time it was, isn't it?"
"A very certain tone. Looks like you've remembered something, Tin Man." Loki stared directly at Tony Stark.
Everyone else present also turned their gaze towards Tony Stark.
"I have indeed remembered something." Tony Stark nodded, then said to everyone, "Thor's hammer!"
Thor's hammer?
Everyone present was momentarily stunned by Tony Stark's words, but shortly after, they gradually began to understand something.
"Hela, Goddess of Death, crushed Thor's hammer! And Loki was with Thor at the time!" Nick Fury said, his one eye gleaming.
"The answer system clearly showed us how Thor took Loki and escaped through Asgard's secret passage to enter the Dark World to deal with Malekith."
"Throughout this entire process, Thor's hammer was perfectly fine."
"So…"
"Wait a minute." Loki finally couldn't help but interject. "May I ask, are you saying that the Goddess of Death, whatever her name is, crushed Thor's hammer?"
"In your Midgardian culture, the action of crushing should also be done like this, with your hand, right?" Loki asked, making a crushing gesture with his hand.
"Hard to believe, isn't it? But yes, Loki, that's exactly how she did it, with her hand, she crushed Thor's hammer." Tony Stark also made a crushing gesture, saying to Loki.
"That's impossible!" Loki immediately shook his head, his face filled with disbelief.
"You're certainly entitled to your disbelief!" Tony Stark said, as if he couldn't care less.
"So… when Thor's hammer got crushed by Hela, Goddess of Death, it happened after they went to the Dark World to fight Malekith!"
Hawkeye Barton's voice echoed. He made two basic judgments. "Or… it happened before the Dark Elves invaded Asgard!"
"Before that, Thor's hammer was repaired, so he could wield it again during the Dark Elves' invasion of Asgard."
"Theoretically, yes, but Barton, I think it's more likely to have happened afterward." Tony Stark voiced his opinion as well.
"Let's sort out the timeline. Thor and the others went to the Dark World two or three years later!"
"If this happened before the Dark Elves invaded Asgard, that means Thor and Loki would have appeared on Earth together within those two or three years, and then Thor's hammer would have been crushed by Hela."
"But let's look at what happened during those years?"
"Do you remember that scene? When Thor took Loki away, on the ship, the guy in armor said Loki had been 'locked up for so long,' and Loki was wearing shackles!"
"Loki was imprisoned in Asgard!"
"And we also know the Bifrost was broken during the Battle of New York!"
"So, it's unlikely Loki and Thor would have come to Earth again during that time, unless… they encountered Hela right after the Battle of New York, before they left Earth."
"But that's obviously impossible, because Thor and the others knew Hela's name when she appeared. But just now, Loki clearly acted as if he didn't know her."
Although the analysis was a bit complicated, the logic was very clear.
The possibility of Hela, Goddess of Death, crushing the Mjolnir before the Dark Elves invaded Asgard was indeed small.
"Stark is right." Black Widow immediately nodded. "There's a high probability Hela crushed the Mjolnir after Loki was 'killed.'"
After everyone's analysis, option A was eliminated without much debate.
"Can we also rule out option D for now?" Captain America made a judgment call. "We don't know if Asgard's Ragnarok is the same as the Ragnarok in the mythological legends."
"But Thor said before that Surtur's treasure, the Eternal Flame, has always been kept in Asgard's vault."
"And Surtur doesn't seem very powerful without the Eternal Flame."
"What exactly isn't Thor telling you guys?" Loki couldn't help but look speechless.
A god, spilling his guts to a bunch of mortals, is that even proper?
"According to Thor, Asgard's vault has the best defenses in the universe, personally guarded by the Destroyer, so... I think we can also rule out D for now." Nick Fury also expressed his agreement.
The two of them looked around at everyone's opinions, and no one raised any objections, so option D was temporarily excluded.
Everyone then focused their attention on the remaining options, B and C.
"We don't have any leads regarding Thanos's assault on the Asgardian starship or Hela, Goddess of Death's invasion of Asgard."
"Especially Hela, Goddess of Death. Besides knowing she's incredibly powerful, we know nothing else about her."
Nick Fury followed up, his one good eye sweeping over the remaining two options as he addressed everyone.
"Thanos and Hela, Goddess of Death, both have the ability to kill Loki, but if I had to choose… I'd lean towards B."
Black Widow contemplated for a moment before stating her assessment.
"Is that so, Midgardian woman, Romanoff? You think I'd die at Thanos' hands?" Loki's face showed a flicker of curiosity. "I'm quite interested in hearing your reasoning."
"Dying in battle to protect Asgard... No offense, Loki, but I don't think that's your style. That sounds more like Thor."
"Of course, that's just something I'm saying on the side, it's not the basis of my judgment… or rather, it's only a small part of it." Black Widow said to Loki.
"I don't find that offensive at all. In fact, I think you're right!" Loki agreed.
He had just learned about his true origins and had been "betrayed" by Thor and Odin, so he held a grudge against Asgard.
Now, if he put himself in the situation of Asgard being invaded, Loki didn't believe he would fight to the death.
That really wasn't his style as the God of Trickery and Deceit.
"The biggest reason for my judgment is, the spaceship! Although I haven't seen a spaceship, I don't know how big it is, but, it's just a ship!"
"The option says Thanos broke through the spaceship, which means Loki only has two choices: either escape or stay on the ship and face Thanos directly."
"But in either case, I don't think Loki has a good chance."
Facing Thanos directly was a no-brainer. Thanos was, after all, someone the system identified as a generation of cosmic overlords. Regardless of whether he had the gems, everyone agreed that he had the power to kill Loki.
What's more, since the ship was breached, Thanos definitely wasn't alone; he brought a fleet with him.
As for escaping, the situation wasn't looking good either.
Since Thanos breached the Asgardian ship, it meant his fleet was stronger than Asgard's.
It wouldn't be surprising if Loki's ship was shot down.
"But what if the war happens in Asgard?" Black Widow then glanced at Loki and posed the question.
Without Black Widow needing to say more, everyone in their hearts began to make their own judgments.
If the battlefield was in Asgard, it would be completely different. After all, Asgard was a divine realm, Loki's home base.
It had the Asgardian army, all sorts of defensive fortifications, various fleets, and Thor, Odin…
Previously, regarding the question about Thor's mother being killed, everyone analyzed the power of Asgard in detail. Apart from Thanos with the five Infinity Stones, there's really no one else in the universe that currently comes to mind who possesses that kind of power.
To directly invade Asgard and kill Thor's mother is an almost impossible feat.
Using the same method to kill Loki wouldn't be much easier than killing Frigga.
These two, a queen and a prince, are about the same in terms of difficulty.
Of course, everyone isn't familiar with Hela. It's possible Hela could accomplish this, but regardless, the difficulty would be far greater than Thanos breaking into a spaceship or something like that.
Compared to the two options, choosing Thanos is naturally the more likely scenario.
Without any other supporting known clues, that's all they could do to make a judgment.
"Natasha's right!" Hawkeye Barton immediately chimed in, agreeing with Black Widow's assessment. "If it were me, I'd also choose B."
Although Black Widow didn't elaborate on her analysis, everyone present had also considered the same thing.
After all, regardless of how you looked at it, option B seemed to have a greater "chance of winning".
Everyone at the scene exchanged glances, and no one expressed any significant objections.
Options A and D were supported by known facts, so their persuasiveness wasn't an issue, and they were eliminated without any debate.
While options B and C weren't supported by known clues, comparing the two, the possibility of B was indeed higher.
The next question was who would answer this question.
The people at the scene who hadn't answered any questions yet briefly discussed it, and the opportunity fell to Black Widow.
After all, the reward for this question was high-tech firearms, and only Black Widow and Nick Fury used firearms at the scene.
But as a commander, Nick Fury usually stayed behind the scenes, so Black Widow was a better fit for this.
"I choose B, killed by Thanos!" Black Widow didn't hesitate, and announced her answer to the big screen.
[Correct answer!]
The system immediately gave feedback, confirming her correct answer.
[Congratulations to the quizzer Natasha Romanoff for receiving a reward: an E-11 blaster rifle!]
