"Spider-Man, Peter Parker?"
After seeing the title, Peter Parker froze for a moment, then immediately became excited.
"This Peter Parker must be me, right? Yeah, it has to be me! I just got bitten by a spider! Even though this nickname sounds a bit strange… it's actually pretty cool!"
The more Peter Parker looked at it, the more satisfied he became with the nickname.
That way, wouldn't he be just like his idol Tony Stark?
Iron Man, Spider-Man.Not bad. Not bad at all.
"Bitten by a spider?"
Tony Stark first felt puzzled as to why Peter Parker would bring this up at such a moment.
But he quickly reacted and asked in disbelief:
"Don't tell me you've already… gained abilities beyond ordinary people?"
"Mr. Stark, you already know?"Peter Parker said excitedly.
"I know far more than you imagine. So… all of your abilities came from being bitten by a spider?"Tony Stark asked while staring at Peter Parker incredulously.
"I'm not sure… but I guess so. Ever since I got bitten, all those strange changes started happening."Peter Parker thought for a moment and replied.
Everyone present felt speechless.
Through the quiz, they had already learned about Spider-Man, Peter Parker.This kid could fight Captain America one-on-one at such a young age and even suppress two superheroes by himself during the Civil War.
He could also swing freely through the air using spider webs, with limitless potential.
And all of that… came from a single spider?
What the hell.
"But Mr. Stark, the Avengers? Who are they?"Peter Parker asked curiously.
This had to be explained.
The Avengers had quietly resolved numerous "large-scale crises" that could have shaken entire nations.
As a result, the Avengers at this point were far less famous among the general public than before.
Of course, within intelligence agencies, the military, the Department of Defense, and various armed organizations, the name Avengers was legendary.
But among ordinary civilians, their fame was indeed much lower.
A high school student like Peter Parker had naturally never heard of them.
"The Avengers… how should I put it? Simply speaking, they're a group of people who use their power to maintain world peace."Tony Stark explained briefly.
"I get it. The Avengers are all heroes!"Peter Parker seemed to understand."Mr. Stark, are you an Avenger too?"
"Of course. Kid, me, the Captain, Thor—we're all Avengers."Tony Stark replied.
As for Scott Lang, he had originally wanted to join the Avengers as well.
Unfortunately, Hank Pym was extremely wary of S.H.I.E.L.D., forcing Scott Lang to give up.
Once, Scott Lang even showed off a bit in front of Hank Pym, bragging about his connections with Nick Fury, nearly getting kicked out.
If not for the fact that Scott Lang had trained with Hank Pym for a long time, knew too many of his secrets, and had countless chances to steal the suit but never did anything harmful, Hank Pym would never have regained trust in him.
He almost didn't become Ant-Man.
As for T'Challa, there was no need to mention it—he was the king of Wakanda. There was no way he would join the Avengers.
"Really? That's amazing! Mr. Stark, does that mean we'll be colleagues in the future? Haha, that's insane!"
Peter Parker was so excited he nearly jumped.
Becoming coworkers with Iron Man—Peter Parker couldn't even imagine it!
"So Peter Parker joins the Avengers in the future?"Tony Stark muttered.
At least one thing was certain: during the Civil War, Peter Parker was not an Avenger.
Whether he joined afterward was unknown.
But since Peter Parker officially entered the Avengers' circle during the Civil War, joining later wouldn't be strange.
"Everyone, according to our intelligence, the Avengers were originally an organization under S.H.I.E.L.D., led by Nick Fury, who also founded the Avengers."
"Later, S.H.I.E.L.D. was disbanded, and the Avengers split due to the Sokovia Accords."
"After the split, the Avengers were overseen by a United Nations supervisory committee, with Secretary of State Ross being the direct liaison."
"So we must determine which period Peter Parker joined the Avengers."
Captain America was the first to analyze the situation.
Since Nick Fury and Secretary Ross, leaders from different eras, both appeared in the options, identifying the timeline would eliminate one of them.
"Obviously not Nick Fury."
Tony Stark shook his head decisively.
The veteran participants instantly agreed.
During the Civil War, the Avengers were no longer under Nick Fury, and Peter Parker didn't know anyone besides Tony Stark at that time.
That alone proved he wasn't an Avenger then.
"That's right. Nick Fury can be ruled out." Even Thor nodded.
"I can rule myself out as well."Captain America added.
He hadn't signed the Sokovia Accords, and Ross even sent Tony Stark to arrest him.
He definitely wasn't an Avenger then.
"Who is Nick Fury? Why can he be ruled out?"Peter Parker asked curiously.
Captain America explained Nick Fury's identity and the Avengers' development to him.
"In that case, the answer seems obvious—Secretary Ross."T'Challa concluded calmly.
Everyone agreed.
This question seemed easy.
The timeline eliminated Nick Fury and Captain America.
Only Ross and Tony Stark remained.
And the choice seemed obvious.
"So I'm the last one to answer, right?"Thor glanced around before declaring confidently:
"I choose D! Secretary Ross!"
[Wrong answer!]
The system's prompt echoed.
Thor's confident smile froze instantly.
Everyone else was equally stunned.
Wrong?
[Answerer Thor Odinson will be punished by having ten years of divine power erased! Executing immediately!]
Whoosh!
Ten years of Thor's divine power vanished instantly.
But with over 1,500 years of divine power, Thor didn't care much.
"Where did we go wrong?"Thor asked seriously.
Tony Stark frowned.
Their logic had been solid.
During the Civil War, Peter Parker clearly didn't know the Avengers!
They reanalyzed everything—yet found no flaws.
"If it's not Ross, could it be Tony Stark?"Scott Lang suggested.
"Could it really be Stark?"Captain America frowned.
That made no sense—Tony Stark wasn't the leader.
Something was off.
Very off.
Having experienced many quizzes, they knew such situations meant a key detail was overlooked.
"Isn't the wording strange?"T'Challa pointed at the screen."What does 'bestowed as an Avenger' mean?"
"Right!"Scott Lang agreed."'Bestowed'? Are Avengers knighted now?"
Everyone realized it.
The word "bestowed" was the problem.
Avengers weren't nobility.
There was no "bestowal."
Tony Stark pondered.
"Ross's Avengers were under UN supervision. Recruitment would follow formal procedures—evaluation, reporting, approval. No 'bestowal' involved."
"So the answer isn't Ross."
"That means Peter Parker may have joined through an unofficial path."
They lacked information—but elimination still worked.
"Let's use elimination."Peter Parker suggested."Only one option is left."
"Agreed."Captain America nodded.
"So the answer is Tony Stark?"Thor asked.
"That's the only possibility."Tony Stark nodded."An unofficial path… I could've approved it myself."
Consensus reached—somewhat blindly.
"According to our rule, whoever the question is about answers.""This one's yours."Tony Stark said to Peter Parker.
"Oh, my turn? I choose A—Mr. Stark!"Peter Parker answered immediately.
[Correct answer!]
