Caleb walked down the street, the rain dripping down from his black coat.
He was wet.
Completely drenched.
But that was the least thing on his mind as he stood in front of the small house.
He calmly walked towards the door, each step carrying purpose.
He reached the door, and with a gentle push, it creaked open.
"Kevin, is that you?" She came out of the kitchen, her steps somewhat hurried as she left the pot on fire.
She had completely forgotten to lock the doors right after she escorted Kevin out.
As she walked out into the parlour, she paused upon seeing Caleb's figure.
"Caleb?...." Worry, fear.... Several emotions was plastered on her face as she saw him.
He walked closer to her, and she retreated unconsciously.
But he soon stopped, her courage rising.
"Leave my house! What are you still coming here for? Wasn't the video already enough?! Kevin is rich, you have nothing, I can't keep living like this."
Her words felt like a sting.
Caleb sucked his teeth.
Hissing.
"Oh what a fool I was" he raised his eyes, his dark emotionless eyes locking with hers.
There was nothing in those eyes, they were empty.
'what could she possibly have for someone like me? I mistook pity for love' Caleb thought, the pain burrowing into the depth of his being.
He walked closer to her.
"Stay away from me!" Sophia raised her voice, putting more distance between them.
She stumbled backwards.
Caleb moved slightly faster, holding her wrist tightly right before she could dash into the kitchen.
"Don't touch me you...!"

Her words were cut-off with a jaw-shattering punch.
Blood filled her mouth.
"Why the hope?" He asked, his voice slightly cracked and deep.

Sophia couldn't stand the force, her eyes rolled backwards, her body slumping down to the ground with a dull thud.
His hands were dripping with blood as he looked at the figure on the earth.
He couldn't stand looking at her, he wanted to rip her head out of her body.
She had given him everything. Only to snatch it all back with the most cruel excuse to offer.
"Don't worry you bitch! I'll make that money!"
He controlled the welling rage in his chest, holding the urge to spit on her as he walked away.
He was certain.
Prison was the next call, but he didn't care either.
She deserved every bit of it.
The sun was retreating and the night sky was placing its blanket over the earth.
A sight he wished to admire one day, on a vacation with Sophia by his side.
But now.... It was nothing more than a bad dream.
His eyes caught sight of the young boy admiring a Lamborghini Aventador in front of the road.
He smiled.
A slight memory crossing his mind.
Of course, he was also like the little boy at some point.
That wish to drive some flashy car.
That was way before he met Sophia.
'Tch, I should have made money before looking at that bitch' he thought bitterly.
He couldn't imagine that he tossed his dreams of his flashy life over a whore.
Wishing that one day they could get married.
He took a deep sigh.

Caleb snapped out of his thoughts as he saw the truck, moving with high speed towards the little boy.

He didn't know why.
He didn't know what pushed him to, but his legs moved.
He saw himself the next second, standing in place of the young boy.

That was all he could see.
But then, with a bit effort, slowly he lifted his heavy eyelids.
