Alice was lost in a daze, but quickly recovered her composure.
Coughing to clear the awkward air.
"Caleb, I really should get going now... I don't have much to do for now, so I'll be free for a week. If you get any feedback from the detective, do let me know," Alice said, her voice cracking slightly from embarrassment.
"Alri—"
"Ma'am, you have an urgent call." Alice's driver walked up to her with hurried steps, cutting off Caleb and momentarily disturbing their little get-together moment.
"Huh?" Alice quickly flashed him a cold glance.
The old driver flinched, the phone in his hand shaking slightly.
"I'm sorry for disturbing, ma'am. The call came from the royal family," the old man said, cold sweat dropping from his face.
"And so?" Alice replied back coldly.
The man instantly paled after hearing her reply. He began stuttering, unable to speak proper words.
