Naya paused. "Oh, and Julius reached out. They agreed to your request."
Caleb paused, a smile climbing up his face.
"Well, that was fast. With how stubborn she was, I really thought it'd take more time."
"They also said they've gotten information on the person you requested for."
Caleb raised a brow, surprised.
"She really doesn't waste any time in getting the work done."
Naya yawned, just about to leave the kitchen, when—
"Were you really not angry about what I said about my mom?"
Naya paused, tilting her head just enough to see his face.
"I was, but I knew you had your reasons. Besides, if I was going to prank you I had to act well... Although I was a bit too extra with the ice wall," Naya replied calmly.
"Thank you for understanding." Caleb's voice softened.
He was really worried that she would think he would also look at her that way if she died.
But thankfully, she didn't seem to get the wrong idea.
