Chapter 164 - Extinction of a species

The Orca King thrashed violently, trying to break free from Tang Yin's grip, but no matter how it struggled, it was powerless.

Its eyes narrowed, a storm of disbelief and fury simmering within them. "I am the overlord of the ocean! You insolent fool, release me at once!" it hissed.

Tang Yin arched an amused brow. "Overlord of the ocean, you say? Then I suppose that title might have a new owner today," he replied coolly.

With a sudden twist, he spun the massive beast through the water and slammed it onto the seabed with a deafening crash.

Boom—!

But Tang Yin didn't pause. He unleashed a relentless flurry of punches, each packed with a strength rivaling that of a Titled Douluo.

Thwack—! Bam—! Boom—!

The Orca King roared in fury, yet Tang Yin's assault was unyielding, leaving it no chance to retaliate. Its massive body trembled under the relentless onslaught.

SHRIEK—!

A blood-curdling, ear-splitting wail erupted from the beast, reverberating through the waters as it thrashed violently against the unstoppable force bearing down on it.

"You… human! You dare provoke me! Today, either you die or I do!" the beast bellowed, its voice shaking the waters with raw fury. With a deafening roar, it opened its massive jaws—

Evil Orca Domain!

A surge of blood‑red, oppressive malice erupted from the Orca King, rippling through the seabed like a tidal shockwave.

Tang Yin was momentarily whipped backward by the force, his body absorbing the energy with ease. The domain's main purpose—to assault the mind with malevolent thoughts—was utterly ineffective.

His spiritual power was far beyond anything the Evil Spirit Orca King could reach; such mental corruption were simply dissolved the moment it touched him.

"What—?! How can this be?!" The Orca King's pupils contracted sharply. The human before it stood utterly calm—without even the faintest ripple of emotion.

Seeing the Orca King's shock, a smirk tugged at Tang Yin's lips. His mocking smile only fueled the beast's fury—but the Orca King was shrewd, with near-human intelligence.

"You must have used some trick to evade my domain. Fine! If you've got the guts, human, take this! Evil Orca Spirit Axe!"

With that, the Orca King poured all its strength into a massive, crimson tail strike, a scarlet arc slicing through the water like a jagged blade.

Tang Yin remained unfazed.

Calmly, he stored his robes and met the strike head-on. The crimson tail struck squarely, yet all the kinetic energy was absorbed, and the Orca King's evil soul power couldn't even graze his mind.

Regretfully, there was no time to Show off—his lovers might still need his support. He had to shelve any grand gestures for now.

Its mental power rivals a Titled Douluo. I'll need to weaken it to assert control, he thought.

With that, Tang Yin dismissed his Spirit Body and summoned the Blue Silver Emperor, its ethereal form coiling around his right hand.

"Fifth Soul Skill — Emperor's Boost!"

Golden-blue sparks erupted, amplifying his martial soul tenfold. Without missing a beat, he unleashed another devastating skill.

"Seventh Soul Skill — True Thousand Hands!"

**Crack**

A colossal projection of Tang Yin, burst into existence—an enormous figure woven entirely from Blue Silver Emperor vines, its thousand arms unfurling like a divine halo.

Its usual height of just 40 meters was nothing compared to now. With the tenfold boost, the Blue Silver Avatar towered nearly 400 meters, its presence and power magnified to an almost godlike scale.

Huff…!

Sweat traced down Tang Yin's brow, the strain evident. The soul power drain was tremendous—two red soul rings unleashed at once—yet his soul core operated steadily, replenishing his reserves in real time.

Before him, the Orca King looked like a dwarf. Its eyes bulged in pure terror as a primal chill crept through its entire body.

"…W H O O O O M …"

And when the ocean itself churned from the Avatar taking a single step forward, the Orca King felt its heart nearly leapt out its throat.

No—! I can't face this human alone. I'll die—!

It desperately tried to signal its followers to regroup and attack this devil, only to realize with crushing despair that every single one of them had already been lured far away by Xiao Bai—under its own earlier command.

Dread coiled in its chest as a massive shadow fell over it. And when the Orca King finally summoned the courage to look up…

…it saw a thousand arms descending upon it like a forest of divine spears. Its blood ran cold.

I'm done for.

——B R A A A A M !!

—— K R A A A A S H !!

Three minutes later, the Orca King's colossal body was a mangled, blood-soaked mess. It couldn't even feel its own bones anymore—only a dull, spreading numbness.

"Hu… man…" the Evil Orca King rasped, voice barely more than a trembling vibration in the water. "Why… oppose me… when we've never even met…?"

The weakness, the unwillingness… even the hatred were fading, dissolving into despair. It knew these words might be its last.

"The Sea God's Test required me to kill you," he said, stepping forward as the colossal avatar loomed overhead. His voice was calm—far too calm. "But don't misunderstand… even if it wasn't a task, I would have killed an evil beast like you all the same."

Only then did his face darken, and he spat out, "You aren't even worth my breath."

At his command, the thousand arms moved as one. They descended in a ruthless cascade, smashing the Orca King aside like a broken carcass sinking into the depths.

'…W–what… terrifying… strength…' Its final thought, swallowed by oblivion.

The moment it went limp, Tang Yin reached out with Telepathy, seizing its weak spirit and rendering its body brain-dead. Only then did he retract the colossal Blue Silver Avatar, its staggering power dissolving into nothing.

Meanwhile, above the ocean—

The Great White Shark and the Evil Orcas were locked in a life-or-death struggle—a full-fledged war that would decide who survived and who would be swallowed by the waves.

Ning Rongrong and Lingling moved in perfect sync, channeling their boosts and healing skills directly into the Great White Shark.

Yuehua focused intently on shielding the girls' minds from the Orcas' innate domain, which relentlessly sought to invade their spirits.

The Zhuqing and Zhuyun duo moved like a blur, slaughtering the Millennium and Centennial Orcas with ruthless precision.

Crackle—!

Liu Erlong and Huo Wu, fueled by their fire attributes, were devastatingly effective. Even in the disadvantageous environment, they matched the trio's pace with relentless ferocity.

Dugu Yan resembled a grim reaper, weaving Extreme Fire & Ice poison in lethal harmony, annihilating wave after wave of weaker foes. Even some thousand-year-old Orcas fell before her wrath.

Zoom—blink!

Xiao Wu was a whirlwind of motion, teleporting in an instant to strike weaker Orcas, vanishing and reappearing before anyone could react.

Yue'er and Bing'er moved like fish in water, darting through the battlefield with unmatched agility. Their water & ice attributes gave them a constant advantage, racking up kills with ease.

"Waaaaa!" a cry rang out suddenly.

"Hey, you two! That's not fair—leave some for the rest of us!" Yiran complained, struggling in the sea due to her earth attribute.

"Yeah! Totally unfair! Go deal with the Decade–Millennium ones!" Xiao Mei and Bai Chenxian also shouted, cheering Meng Yiran on.

Despite their complaints, there was no real dispute—in less than five minutes they had already stacked more than fifteen kills among the Millennium Orcas.

Now, the contest had shifted to the extra reward from the Sea God. The next challenge: hunting the more dangerous, 10,000-year-old Evil Orcas, which had become Xiao Bai's outlet for her pent-up frustration.

"You vile creatures! Eat my fist and go to hell!" she roared, gouging at an Orca's eyes before shredding the fins of another.

"Hey, Xiao Bai, make sure you don't kill them all! We need at least one for each of us to complete our task," Yiran warned, worried they might lose the bonus reward by letting Xiao Bai go too far.

At that moment, Tang Yin lunged out of the ocean. Behind him floated a limp Orca King, halting the ongoing battle between the Great White Shark and the Evil Spirit Orcas.

Xiao Bai froze, her bright gold eyes narrowing in disbelief at the defeated Evil Orca King in his hands. Not just her—the morale of every Orca shattered the moment they recognized their king's fall.

Tang Yin flashed an arrogant smile as he tossed the whale back into the water and perched atop its head. He wiggled his brows, flaunting his achievement, and teased.

"Oooh? You guys haven't even killed one of the Decade–Millennium Orcas yet. Look at me—I already took care of their leader, and here you are struggling with this ragtag group of weaklings," he spat cockily.

Hmph!

Xiao Wu and Yiran scrunched their noses in irritation, nearly lunging to knock some sense into him. Instead, they swiftly moved before the stunned Xiao Bai, finishing off the two Orcas that were on their last legs.

With their task complete, both sank down beside Tang Yin, huffing in silent revenge and glaring at him as they deliberately ignored his smug display.

Amused, Tang Yin shook his head, noticing Xiao Bai still frozen, her bright gold eyes wide with disbelief.

"What are you staring at? Haven't you seen someone this handsome before?" he teased, his narcissism surfacing once more.

Seeing his vanity flare up again, both Xiao Wu and Meng Yiran rolled their eyes and spat in unison, "Show-off!"

The rest of the team followed suit, cleaning up the aftermath of Xiao Bai's handiwork with flawless execution.

Three hours later,

The ocean was littered with the corpses of the Evil Spirit Orcas, staining the water blood red. The Great Whale King roared in unison, their voice filled with exhilaration at having slain its lifelong enemies.

From that day forward, all the Evil Spirit Orcas in the ocean were officially extinct. Tang Yin's decisive use of Telepathy left no escapees—none were spared.

Xiao Bai, tears streaming down her face, leapt into Tang Yin's embrace and pressed a deep, fervent kiss against his lips.

Afterward, Tang Yin sacrificed the Orca King to Shui Yue'er, who absorbed its soul ring in less than two hours. The Evil Spirit Orca King also yielded a Head Soul Bone, which he pocketed, planning not to distribute it until all his lovers reached Level 96.

In the Divine Realm,

Ashura God watched Tang Yin effortlessly dealing with the waves of evil soul beasts, a broad smile spreading across his face.

"Good! Excellent! Hahaha… This is the decisiveness my successor should possess," he boomed, clearly pleased with Tang Yin's flawless execution.

Beside him, the Sea God, ever eager to curry favor with Ashura God, nodded vigorously, a sly grin on his face as he massaged Ashura's shoulder like a devoted sycophant:

"I'm truly fortunate to have witnessed your grand vision. I'm sure the other Godkings will be green with envy at your masterpiece," he gushed with a smile so bright it could've lit the entire Divine Realm.

Meanwhile, inside, he was seething.

You rotten old bastard… trying to snatch my chosen candidate. If I were even a fraction stronger, I'd slap your stinky mouth from one end of the universe to the other.

His mind wandered as he stood beside the Ashura God, though his face remained the picture of a devoted subordinate.

In his imagination, the roles were reversed: he towered over Ashura, divine muscles bulging, foot planted triumphantly on Ashura's back.

The Godking Ashura, feared across all realms, cowered and whimpered like a scolded child, while he swung a radiant trident with glee.

"Not so mighty now, are you? Hah! Try acting high and mighty again!" he imagined shouting, each word tasting like sweet vengeance.

All around, Godkings bowed in awe, showering him with praise and gifts.

Back in reality, he was laughing like an idiot.

"HEY!!!"

Ashura God's sudden shout cracked the Sea God's internal rant in half. He jolted upright, nearly dislocating his own neck.

"D–Did I say something out loud?!" Sea God stammered, sweat pooling in his palms. His mind was completely blank.

"Are you deaf?!" Ashura snapped.

"They've already completed their trial. Now it's your turn—go strengthen my successor and his followers, so they may reach a fraction of my own greatness hahaha..."

With that, Ashura God vanished, off to assert his 'authority' over some other unfortunate gods in the Divine realm.

The Sea God steadied himself in seconds, his divine voice booming across the heavens:

"Level 9 task completed before the time limit. Flawless performance. Ruthless execution.

Tang Yin, Sea God Top-Tier Level 9 Gold Test—third trial completed in just 16 days."

[[Reward: Closeness to Sea God increased by 15%; additional rewards superimposed later]

"Shui Yue'er, Shui Bing'er, and Dugu Yan—over fifty Evil Spirit Orcas eliminated. Bonus reward triggered: Blah... Blah... Blah..."

"Zhu Zhuqing, Zhu Zhuyun, and Xiao Wu—more than forty Evil Spirit Orcas defeated. Ding! Ding! Ding! Bonus reward triggered. "

[Rewards: Soul Power +1 level; age of all soul rings increased by 1,600 years]

The Sea God continued with his grandiose proclamations, though only he knew it was all a façade—meant to make them stronger, just as the Ashura God had instructed.

Regardless, everyone walked away with richer rewards… and thanks to Ashura God, that was the true bonus.
