Haruki smiled as he leaned back in his chair, watching her quietly.
Kyouko stood at the sink, washing the dishes—sleeves slightly rolled up, her posture relaxed, humming softly under her breath.
She didn't notice him get up.
Didn't hear his steps.

His arms wrapped around her from behind.

He pressed close, resting his chin on her shoulder.
The feeling of her in his arms—

The curve of her body under that simple dress.
The calm warmth that only she gave him.
And when she turned her head slightly to glance back—

It made his heart race all over again.
"Kyouko…" he whispered against her ear.

She gasped softly. "H-Haruki! I'm washing dishes here!"
"Mmm…" he murmured, tightening his arms just a little.
