"Do not ever wear that look that says you're undeserving of love," Nyra chided sternly much to her surprise, "I do not know where you got that look from, but you've no business wearing it."
Ember gulped. For a second there, her mask slipped. But the Queen's abrupt arrival saved her from having to say more.
Ember darted on her feet as she stood alongside the other noble ladies who all proffered their greetings.
As usual, the Queen dismissed it curtly while she took to the large center table in the garden, remaining standing in a bid to address all twenty something of them.
"Officially, I am to host the second ball of the season." She said in a voice that naturally held the room hostage with rabid authority, "but this morning there has been a change of plans. The third ball of the season, which happens to be the most important ball given the array of activities that will be held for three days, will now be combined with the second ball due to the Wide Meeting."
