Hours later after Rowan Drayven left, a summoning letter Ember had long been waiting for arrived at her doorsteps, delivered by Serene.
"Your Royal Highness, it's a summoning letter to you by the Sea Grace, His Royal Majesty Marek Dorne Andal."
Ember perked up at that, barely suppressing her excitement. Truth be told, any good granddaughter would have welcomed the old man personally at the port of Thalor regardless of her wound. But if she had acted that way, then she wouldn't be worthy of the teachings that the Queen had ingrained in her mind.
So she waited, only to know if the Sea Grace was rabidly curious enough to make the first gesture. But she had to admit that she was mildly surprised. She hadn't expected him to extend the gesture this soon.
Which meant he was more than rabidly curious. And she wasn't sure if that was a good thing.
