Chapter 8 - Chapter 7: What Just Happened?

With Kazuku at the center…

The immense chakra-formed airflow erupted instantly, covering a radius of dozens of meters.

The ground beneath Kazuku's feet cracked layer by layer, forming spiderweb-like fissures.

Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Danzo Shimura.

Kagami Uchiha.

These future legends of Konoha were all overwhelmed by the chakra airflow, unable to open their eyes!

As for the two giant beasts charging at Kazuku, they were like they'd slammed into an invisible air wall, frozen in place.

No matter how they roared or struggled, it was futile!

Though Kazuku was only seven, his chakra intensity dwarfed everyone present by several magnitudes!

No!

Perhaps tens, even hundreds of times stronger!

Fear gradually crept into the eyes of the one-horned rhino and the black centipede.

They couldn't comprehend how a human child possessed such power!

As the airflow persisted, the rhino's four legs slowly left the ground.

Its eyes widened, the fear in its gaze intensifying, its limbs flailing wildly in an attempt to break free and regain footing.

The black centipede fared no better, its upright body sliding backward, its lower half lifting off the ground.

Centuries-old towering trees around them were uprooted by Kazuku's chakra, flying backward like kites with broken strings.

All these changes happened in an instant!

Kazuku's unleashed chakra was like a tidal wave, sweeping through every inch of the area.

Where it passed, not a blade of grass remained!

The rhino and centipede's bodies began to tumble, hurled sideways by the powerful airflow.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

With deafening crashes, the two beasts slammed into the ground repeatedly, bouncing and rolling!

Their massive weight, sturdy muscles, and tough hides—once their pride—became weapons against them.

Their organs were crushed under the pressure, causing them immense pain.

After an unknown amount of time, the two beasts lay motionless on the ground, like dead fish washed ashore by the tide.

Countless trees had been toppled by their collisions.

Tobirama Senju, who had been about to use Flying Thunder God to save Kazuku, stood frozen.

His eyes, expression, and slightly parted lips perfectly embodied sheer astonishment.

Koharu Utatane, standing beside Kazuku, stared at the cracked clearing before her, her emotions in turmoil.

What happened?

She had thought she and Kazuku were doomed to die or be gravely injured.

But in the blink of an eye…

The one-horned rhino had vanished from her sight.

Suddenly, Koharu realized something and turned to look behind her.

The nearly ten-meter-long black centipede was gone too.

Was this a miraculous escape?

Koharu blinked, desperately wishing someone would explain.

What the hell just happened?

Why had two ferocious behemoths disappeared?

Was it some kind of genjutsu?

Had she been under an illusion from the start?

But this wasn't a combat exercise—it was a team training.

Who would cast a genjutsu on her?

"And that power just now… was that really chakra?"

Koharu swallowed hard, her throat tight with tension.

It wasn't taijutsu or ninjutsu.

To her, it seemed like chakra pushed to its absolute limit, creating that airflow.

She vaguely recalled Lord Tobirama using a similar technique.

But within her line of sight, there was no sign of Tobirama!

"Could it be…" Koharu's heart pounded, her gaze slowly settling on Kazuku.

Though it seemed utterly absurd, the only person who could have unleashed that power was Kazuku.

And it wasn't just Koharu who realized this.

Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Danzo Shimura.

Kagami Uchiha.

Mito Menma.

Torifu Akimichi.

Once the crisis was resolved and the scene quieted, the same thought struck them all.

What just happened?

Why had such a powerful airflow forced their eyes shut?

Why had the two beasts been sent flying?

Most crucially, who had saved Kazuku and Koharu?

With these questions, their first instinct was that it was either Lord Hashirama or Lord Tobirama.

But when the airflow dissipated…

Neither Hashirama nor Tobirama appeared.

Instead, Kazuku stood calmly beside Koharu.

"Hiruzen, what's going on?" Menma approached Hiruzen, hoping for answers.

After all, Hiruzen was the most outstanding among them.

But faced with his teammate's question, Hiruzen could only muster an awkward expression.

He didn't know what happened either.

From all the signs…

It seemed Kazuku had unleashed his chakra, blasting away the two beasts threatening him.

But wasn't that too exaggerated?

A seven-year-old child.

No matter how gifted or prodigious…

It couldn't be that extreme, could it?

"Honestly, I'd rather believe Lord Tobirama used Flying Thunder God to appear, defeated the beasts, and then vanished with Flying Thunder God," Hiruzen said.

If that were true, he'd feel much better.

But he hadn't sensed Tobirama's chakra!

However…

Kazuku's chakra outburst hadn't killed the beasts.

After lying still for a moment, they mustered the strength to stand.

It took them four attempts to succeed.

But when they looked at Kazuku again, they had no desire or courage for revenge.

Their eyes held only fear!

A primal, instinctual fear, etched into their bloodline, like a rabbit facing the king of beasts!

Their minds held one thought:

This guy is dangerous. Extremely dangerous!

We're no match for him!

After a glance at Kazuku, the two beasts turned and fled in panic.

This scene was naturally caught by Hiruzen and the others.

Even in the Forest of Death, where survival rates were low, these two behemoths were kings among beasts!

Yet they were terrified of a human child.

"This… is Lord Hashirama's grandson," Hiruzen said, looking at Kazuku's profile.

Though he was reluctant to admit it…

After ruling out all impossibilities, the remaining possibility, no matter how improbable, was the only truth!

Neither Hashirama nor Tobirama had intervened.

And they… lacked such power!

That terrifying, maximized chakra came from Kazuku!

Kazuku Senju!
