Today, this novel, The Red Hair Supremacy, has finally concluded and come to an end.
Honestly speaking, I got the idea for this story around the time I was writing The Uzumaki Fire God. Back then, I really wanted to write this novel in parallel, but the plot was slightly different. I did not originally intend to go with a family development or empire-building genre. At the time, I had a simple concept in mind: Shanks escaping with his father, his father being killed by Root, Shanks awakening his Conqueror's Haki in that moment to knock out the Root members, and finally being saved by Tsunade. I took that general idea, modified it, and developed it into the story you read till today.
I initially held off on writing it mainly because there were already quite a few "Shanks template" novels out there. However, while watching the Wano arc, seeing the conclusion where Shanks stopped Greenbull using purely his Conquerors Haki inspired me to jump in. I thought, "Let's go with this idea," and began writing. I wanted to focus on Shanks and the Uzumaki clan specifically because most of my previous novels were set in Konoha, and I wanted a change of setting and pace.
Since this was my first attempt at a kingdom and family development style novel, I am not sure if I managed to maintain a strong story flow throughout. Additionally, writing romance is not my strongest suit, as I can only write what I see in the shows and movies. Because of that, you might have found the romance between the characters to be fairly simple and basic.
