Since he had been so calm earlier while Azalea was treating his wound she almost forgot that the Alpha was going through a rut.
She wanted to look him in the eyes and plead with him to let her go but instead he lowered his head on to her own, pinning her body against his so that they hugged back to back.
"Stop struggling…. It's just that you smell so good.. I'll calm down soon."
There was heat radiating from his crotch to her waist and Azalea froze as the person who stood behind her remained motionless.
Three knocks on the door made Azalea jump but could not move.
"Wolf boy are you there…I brought the suppressants like you asked."
"Yes," growled the alpha.
"No need to get testy with me when I'm doing you a favor."
Sounds of the young man outside the door fumbling with his school bag.
He pulled out several boxes, all of them marked "suppressants" and removed the excess packaging to be discarded.
"Remember to inject directly, to a vein. It takes five to ten minutes to take effect. Since you have been out of class for at least fifteen minutes. I think it's safe to say that you need to wait another twenty minutes for the drugs to work and suppress your nature and return you to normal. I'm aware your kind can't tolerate others in your territory so I'll leave the drugs outside the door and you can thank me later."
True to his words the young man left the drugs by the door then took his leave as promised.
'Don't move. I'll go and get the suppressants for you," offered Azalea.
Surprisingly, he let her go, the hand slowly leaving her waist and the weight that rested on her hair eased up.
"If you run there is no place on earth that you can hide from me," he growled anxiously.
Azalea didn't answer for some reason his words didn't feel as threatening like earlier, it was all bark and no bite.
She smiled as she picked up the boxes and closed the door behind her.
Quickly scanning the simple instructions then she opened the box and took out the needle.
Already prepped for instant use by his friend before he left them outside the door.
All she had to do was find a vein and then she stuck him with a needle and injected a yellow liquid into his body.
Luckily he didn't have any adverse reactions to the suppressants and just bowed his head in silence.
Almost as if the drug was running through his veins and draining him of energy, he stood limply that she thought it best to usher him to sit down on the table.
He didn't get upset just allowed her to lead him to lean against the table,
Then he pulled her back into his arms and buried his head in her hair as if he found comfort from holding her tightly in his arms.
Not sure what to do next, Azalea tried to empathize and soothe him like she had watched other mothers do with their kids growing up.
Rubbing his back in small circles she said gently, "there...there now.. Everything is going to be alright."
"What makes you say that?" he questioned in a gruff voice
When he spoke the heat from his voice tickled her ears and she brushed profusely as her body had its own answering response as warmth pooled between her legs.
"I just thought it was the right thing to say," admitted with a trembling voice.
Not wanting to think too closely about why she had already felt a stirring of emotions for the young alpha.
The gray wolf said nothing further instead he lifted Azalea's wrist.
Then his callous thumb gently touched the Mercy Academy crest that was still slightly raised and swollen from the ceremony.
His light caress caused her fingers to tremble uncontrollably as goosebumps sprung up all over her body.
Before she could stop him, he did something animalistic.
That should have creeped her out but instead she found herself fascinated as he brought her wrist up to his nose then sniffed it.
Although her heart was pounding in her chest she tried to maintain a neutral expression as she remembered that this was how wolves were affectionate with their mates.
It was a simple gesture and not obtrusive even though it was an intimate act that should be reserved for someone he had a connection with and cared about.
Now just didn't feel like the right time to point that out when he was probably just curious about her unique scent.
"You smell of lilies and something else..."
He muttered as if he couldn't quite tell what the other scent was and it bothered him.
"I need to go," Azalea gently reminded him.
As much as she didn't feel threatened right now, he was still the opposite sex.
There was a feeling that it was taboo to be locked in a shed with a guy she had no business getting closer to and it felt like she was bonding with him.
He responded, "just a few more minutes…please."
Right now, his voice was barely a whisper.
Which sounded to Azalea like the drug was very effective in suppressing his aggressive nature and calming down his hormones through his bloodstream.
Ever since Azalea came into her mental powers, she felt sensations that weren't available to her as a normal human.
It felt like her five senses had increased significantly and now she could finally smell what caused the sprout to be so attracted to the young alpha.
The young sprout in her garden perked up but for some reason was unable to break through the constraint of the mental garden.
It couldn't come out to play as it had used up most of her mental energy and had to keep itself quiet until her mental energy reserves regenerated.
Little sprout became depressed at the thought of not being able to taste the young alpha that was sneakily making moves on her master.
Unaware of the little sprout's inner thoughts, Azalea asked the gray wolf, "friend…are you feeling better now?"
